Abstract: The present application relates to an attic door assembly. The attic door assembly includes a jamb having an interior surface. The jamb is installed adjacent to a pull-down attic door. The attic door assembly also includes a rabbet disposed along a perimeter of the interior surface of the jamb and a door hingedly coupled to the jamb. The door includes a frame, a panel coupled to a first side of the frame, and a foam board coupled to a second side of the frame opposite the panel. The foam board, the panel, and the frame in combination define an interior space. An insulating material is disposed within the interior space. Finally, a flexible sealant is applied to the interior surface. The flexible sealant is operable to seal an interface of the rabbet, the jamb, and the door.

Abstract: The invention relates to a clamping holder as well as to a pane assembly comprising such a clamping holder and to a method for producing such a pane assembly. Pane assemblies, which are injection molded on the edge side by a frame section, are known in the state of the art. In response to the production of the pane assembly, a retaining strip, which is embedded into the frame section through this after the injection molding process, is furthermore inserted into the injection molding tool. A retaining clamp, by means of which trim can be attached to the pane assembly in a clamping manner, must be attached to the retaining strip after the completion of the pane assembly. To avoid the requirement of subsequently attaching a retaining clamp, provision is made for a clamping holder comprising a connecting section and a clamp section, which is embodied such that connecting section and clamp section can together be inserted into an injection molding tool.

Abstract: A pneumatic container transport system conveys specialized, cylindrical containers between stations within an automated container filling system. Low-pressure, high-velocity air moving through plastic tubing propels the containers through switching gates, air impellers and deceleration devices from one station to another. Annular ridges around the circumference of the containers minimize contact with the inside tube walls and deter scuffing of paper labels which carry machine-readable indicia upon which the container filling system relies for directing the containers. The air impellers include pressure relief means for adjusting the air pressure and velocity. Actuator-operated gates in the tubing system respond to control signals from management software to direct each container to its next station. At selected stations, decelerators slow the containers upon arrival to cushion their impact upon arrival and to protect the contents from damage due to jarring.

Abstract: In a bag filling and packaging method and apparatus, first and second bag pressing members being provided a specific distance apart in the lengthwise direction of a bag and respectively having pressing components that extend in the width direction of the bag. The bag pressing members are moved toward a rear plate which is provided on the rear side of the bag, so that the pressing component of the first bag pressing member and an end face of the rear plates hold the bag, and the pressing component of the second pressing member pushes a position of the bag above a receiving face of the rear plate, allowing the bag face including the print part to be taut along the receiving face of the rear plate, and printing or print inspection is performed in this configuration.

Abstract: This present invention is directed to a container adapted to hold and store moisture sensitive material such as for example, paper or electronic device. The container comprises a top wall, a bottom wall, and a plurality of side walls. Each of the top wall, bottom wall, and a plurality of side walls comprise a corrugated linerboard having an inner surface and an outer surface. At least one of the top wall, bottom wall, and side walls further comprises a coating applied to the linerboard. The coating is positioned at an inner surface of the linerboard to form a coated corrugated linerboard that is a moisture-resistant and resists penetration of water, water vapor or moisture into the container from ambient atmosphere thereby increasing the strength and shelf-life of the container under conditions of cyclic changes in ambient temperature and in ambient humidity. The coating has a coat weight from 1-10 wet #'s total per MSF (thousand square feet).

Abstract: An apparatus for providing end seals on vertical stand-up packages that prevents pleat formation and gusset variation. A clamping device is mounted below sealing jaws. A bottom end seal is made by the sealing jaws to form an open-ended tube. The open-ended tube is moved downward. The clamping device engages the tube to prevent twisting when product is placed into the tube. Product then enters an open-ended tube of flexible film packaging and the top seal is made.

Abstract: A packaging machine includes a clamping arrangement, composed of a series of clamps designed to grip and release a web of flexible material, and which are coupled to a belt that is advanced along a predetermined path to advance the web of flexible through the machine. The belt is made up of side-by-side belt portions that are spliced together in axially spaced locations by the clamps, to withstand the forces and stresses placed thereon as the web material is advanced. Each clamp is formed of an upper jaw member and a lower jaw member that are pivotably interconnected together, in combination with a guide member the guides movement of the belt through the machine. The belts are independently driven by operation of a pair of motors, which are synchronously operated in order to advance the opposite edges of the web material at the same rate of speed through the machine.
