Abstract: A protective goggle is provided including a frame having a first lens opening and a second lens opening. The lens openings are separated by a bridge and the frame is configured to be located in front of a user's face. Two protective lenses are held within the respective lens openings. A flexible skirt is connected to the frame. The flexible skirt has a face engaging portion opposite the frame and configured to contact the user's face about the user's eyes. The flexible skirt has a vent portion including a plurality of vent holes.

Abstract: A flip-up visor attachment having two separable sets of hinge elements for rotatably connecting the visor to a sunglasses' frame. These sets include a hinge body and a pair of hook-like structures which are, respectively, affixed to the frame's bridge portion and to the visor's underside. Like the frame, both sets exhibit bilateral symmetry. Once they are joined together, the visor can be pivoted outwardly from the frame's front. A flange, affixed to the visor's mid-section and extending over its back edge, stops the visor from being overrotated. With the visor in its raised position, one can then brace it there by pressing a locking arm rotatably connected to its underside against the hinge body. By rotating the locking arm in reverse, one can disengage it from the hinge body and thus free the visor so that it can be folded against the sunglasses or removed therefrom.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a wrist protecting glove and methods of manufacturing the same. More specifically, embodiments of the present invention relate to a wrist protecting glove providing maximum protection with minimal restriction on range of movement, and method of manufacturing the same. In one embodiment, a wrist protecting glove comprises a polyurethane pad, formed to fit over a user's palm, a holding material integrally formed within the pad, a set of snap fasteners for closing the holding material around a user's thumb, a palm strap for affixing the wrist protecting glove on a user's hand, the palm strap affixed to the holding material, and a D-ring assembly for receiving the palm strap, wherein the palm strap comprises a hook and loop fastener strap for looping through the D-ring assembly and fastening onto itself to affix the wrist protecting glove on the user's hand.

Abstract: A bib and corresponding mounting clip are disclosed. A bib body may include one or more of an upper reinforcement member, a plurality of body reinforcement members, and a plurality of pocket reinforcement members. The upper reinforcement facilitates having the bib body be suspended from the mounting clip at a single location or region. The plurality of body reinforcement members allows the bib body to be shaped to “funnel” food particles and the like, for instance into a pocket incorporated by the bib body. The plurality of pocket reinforcement members may be used to retain such a pocket in an open configuration.

Abstract: The guard is an improved utility design tailored to a shirt collar or hat utilizing a four part liner system that creates a moisture barrier between the garment and the wearer to prevent staining to garments and hats and relief from acne outbreaks.

Abstract: A thermal energy dissipating garment may include a first garment portion having a perimeter defined by at least a first side and a second garment portion having a perimeter defined by at least a vent side. The first garment portion and the second garment portion are discontinuously affixed to each other at defined intervals along a surface of each portion proximate to the first side and the vent side creating a vent seam having a plurality of ducts/scalloped vents for directing air towards a body of a wearer. The plurality of scalloped vents are oriented with an angle of attack that redirects air from the exterior of the garment to the interior of the garment to increase air movement along a wearer's skin.

Abstract: A nursing canopy for concealing a nursing mother's upper front torso and infant is disclosed. The canopy comprises a panel of opaque fabric having dimensions sufficient to cover at least a region from the mother's upper chest to below the mother's breasts. A fastening strap can be attached to the upper edge of the panel for securing the panel around the mother's neck. A self-supporting neckline stiffener is located along the top edge of the panel and defines a self-supporting neckline of the panel. The neckline cooperates with the fastening strap to hold the neckline a spaced-apart distance from the mother, defining an open viewing area between mother and infant. A secondary self-supporting stiffener is provided on the panel at a distance below the neckline, the ends of which rest against the mother's sides to hold the panel a spaced-apart distance from the feeding infant.

Abstract: An ergonomic curved athletic glove is provided. The glove comprises palm and back portions as well as four finger sheaths and a thumb sheath, each sheath having a front and back finger portion and one or more gussets. The thumb, pinky, and index finger sheaths may incorporate a “seamless” design that avoids seams where the glove comes in contact with a sporting implement and reduces potential gripping interference. The palm portion of the glove may comprise multiple sections connected with a stretchable palm gusset to minimize bunching when a sporting implement is gripped. The length of each front finger portion is shorter than the length of the corresponding back finger portion to provide the glove with a gripping curve. Providing the glove with a gripping curve minimizes bunching of the front finger portions, front thumb portion, and palm portion while a received hand grips the sporting implement.

Abstract: A mask includes a thin film layer having a plurality of net-shaped irregular pores to provide a ventilating effect, two loop-shaped straps mounted on two ends of the thin film layer, and two adjusting rings each movably mounted on a respective one of the straps. The thin film layer is made of soft and tough material, such as e-PTFE, TPE, TPEE, COC or FRP. Each of the pores has a size smaller than that of dust, water molecule, bacterium and virus to isolate and prevent the dust, water molecule, bacterium and virus from entering the thin film layer. When the loop-shaped straps are put on a user's ears, the adjusting rings are moved on the loop-shaped straps to adjust the size of each of the loop-shaped straps so as to fit the user's face.

Abstract: A garment system for incontinent invalids, including bariatric patients, that has pants and dresses with common features including a diaper opening, elastic at and above the waistline, elastic fabric extendable across at least a middle portion of the back of the garment near the waist-line. The garments cover the crotch of the wearer while reclined or seated, and still provide caregivers easy access to diapers. The pants feature a rear elastic belt with first and second releasably fastenable belt ends. The dress may have releasably open shoulder seams and two-petal sleeves. Faux pockets, providing concealed openings through the garment for medical equipment are included. For the pants, the crotch seam extends far enough back to cover the crotch from view when the wearer is seated or reclining.

Abstract: The invention is a slidable fastening device that is sewn into a garment and replaces a static seam of the garment. The fastener has a male portion and a female portion that are permanently engaged with each other and slide up and down with respect to each other. The fastener is hidden from view such that a casual observer does not notice that the static seam has been replaced.

Abstract: A garment that includes a body portion and a plurality of leg portions to be worn by a user. The garment further includes an optional extended crotch portion formed within a bottom portion of the body portion, and a plurality of thigh portions, integrally combined with or disposed a predetermined distance from, the extended crotch portion. Each thigh portion extends vertically along a respective inner thigh area of the garment and are formed of a material different from that of the leg portions.

Abstract: The present invention provides a footwear system comprising a sock (10) having a pocket (24) formed within the wall (18) of the sock upper (16). The pocket (24) extends from the upper rim (20) towards the heel portion (14). An aperture (30) is formed in the sock upper (16) providing access to the pocket (24). The aperture (30) is narrower than the width of the pocket (24). A removable pad (32) is sized to fit snugly in the pocket (24).

Abstract: An accessory for a helmet includes a lower portion that includes an attachment mechanism, an upper portion that includes pliable projections wherein the attachment mechanism removably couples the lower portion to a top surface of the helmet. The attachment mechanism may mate with a corresponding attachment strip that is located on the upper surface of the helmet.

Abstract: Cooling suspenders are disclosed for supporting pants such as firefighter pants. The suspenders include a first and second strap where one or both of the straps includes a water absorbent material capable of retaining at least five times its weight in absorbed water and retains some of the absorbed water for at least 48 hours at about 18° C. to about 24° C. and provides a cooling effect to a wearer as the absorbed water evaporates. The water absorbent material may retain the water for at least 24 hours at elevated body temperatures such as those experienced by a firefighter while fighting a fire. The water absorbent material may be present as a padding layer within a portion of the first and/or second straps.

Abstract: Provided is a belly-covering underwear. The belly-covering underwear may include a front cover part, a binding part, and an upper elastic ring. The front cover part covers a belly of a human body. The binding part is coupled to the front cover part at both sides thereof to adhere the front cover part to the belly. The upper elastic ring may be formed of elastic material and is provided on a center of an upper portion of the front cover part.

Abstract: A pair of underwear (10) in which a uni-piece of fabric has a front section (11), a middle section (12) and a back section (13). The middle section (12) has an insert (14) with opposed forward (16) and rearward (19) ends extending through the crotch area (20) into the back section (13) of the underwear. The insert (14) is fabricated of a cotton, cotton blend or similar comfortable material and extends from the middle of the front section (11) to the beginning of the back section (13) for positioning within the crotch area (20) of the user. The forward end (16) of the insert (14) has a unique and novel identifier (17) to aid the user in proper alignment of a sanitary pad (18) or incontinence pad. The identifier (17) is smoothly curved and horizontally extending across the front section (11).

Abstract: A non-protective skin covering a helmet and capable of fitting a variety of helmet shapes, sizes and types. In a preferred embodiment, the skin includes an upper curved surface having an opening, and a narrowing base portion. Each of the upper curved surface and the narrowing base portion are preferably stretchable. The base portion also preferably has a substantially symmetrical shape such that a vertical axis extending in a substantially perpendicular direction to the base portion and through a center of the base portion divides the base portion into substantially symmetrical halves. The upper curved surface preferably has a substantially asymmetrical shape such that the vertical axis divides the upper curved surface into asymmetrical front and rear portions. An opening may be provided, in the skin, for use in attaching goggles, straps or other accessories associated with the helmet. Preferably, the helmet skin is capable of fitting a variety of helmet shapes, types and sizes.

The structure includes a first component possessing a first compressive response profile, a second component possessing a second compressive response profile different from the first compressive response profile, and a third component connecting the first component to the second component. Upon application of a force, the second compressive response profile of the second component is additive to the first compressive response profile of the first component to result in an overall compressive response profile of the energy management structure that meets a design compressive response profile.

Abstract: The headgear has right and left symmetrical earguard assemblies with an earguard pad and protective shell that are detachable from each other. A plurality of detachable head straps join each earguard assembly to prevent separation of the pad and shell of each earguard assembly. The periphery of each protective shell is surrounded and embraced by peripheral wall portions on the pads to align the respective shells on the respective earguard pads in an alignment position. Corresponding engageable protrusions and recesses on the pads and shells also help maintain the alignment position.

Abstract: A skiing goggle frame includes a frame having a frame periphery defining a compartment. The frame periphery includes a top portion having at least one first vent defined by a vent frame. The vent frame is inclined and extends upward from the frame periphery towards a face of a wearer wearing the skiing goggle frame. Since the head of the skier inclines forward during skiing, the vent frame and the first vent directly face the incoming wind such that the wind can directly enter a space between the lens and the face of the wearer, reducing the temperature in the space and, thus, avoiding fogging.

Abstract: An air freshening article, such as a deodorizing urinal screen, includes a body that is formed from a fragranced plastic that includes a plastic loaded with a fragrance material. The fragrance material is included in an amount of at least 15% by weight of the fragranced plastic. A method of producing a deodorizing urinal screen includes a fragrance loading stage in which a plastic is loaded with a fragrance material to produce a fragranced plastic. The fragranced plastic includes at least 15 wt % fragrance material. In a molding stage subsequent to the fragrance loading stage, the fragranced plastic is molded into the urinal screen.

Abstract: A toilet freshener for releasing a preparation into a toilet bowl includes a dispenser, at least one container couplable with the dispenser for storing the preparation, a release element for releasing preparation into the toilet bowl and connected in communicating manner to the container via a line so that the bottom of the container is arranged above the release orifice of the release element in the direction of gravity, such that a difference in level is formed between the bottom of the container and the release orifice of the release element, and a pin connected to the line, which interacts with the couplable container such that, during coupling of the container with the dispenser, the pin displaces a volume of preparation in the container, whereby a pressure is produced in the container, which pressure conveys the preparation over the difference in level into the line.

Abstract: A quick fitting toilet seat fixing includes a tight fitting expandable sleeve with a larger shaped top section to suite the toilet seat assembly, a tapered hole through the middle, that is pushed down into the holes at the back of the toilet bowl, and a tapered shaft with a threaded end that screw into the toilet seat assembly. The tapered shaft is then pushed inside the expandable sleeve so that the tapered sides of the expandable sleeve are placed under a lateral pressure resulting in a tight fixing. The bottom of the tapered shaft will protrude through the sleeve when it is fully fitted, this will allow the tapered shaft to be pushed vertically upward thus releasing the lateral pressure so the fixing can be removed.

Abstract: A toilet seat and lid quick release hinge system utilizing a toilet seat and lid hinge hold-down screw with a release lever at the bottom. The hold-down screw has a head flange with diametrically opposed, outwardly extending projections. These projections engage a slot in the hinge mount of a toilet seat and lid hinge assembly, thereby releaseably holding the seat and lid hinge assembly to the toilet bowl.

Abstract: The present invention is skimmer plug for winterizing a pool. The skimmer plug inserts and grips into the fluid opening, where there is fluid passage from the pool to the skimmer housing and filter assembly. In this manner, the surface of the skimmer plug when installed is slightly raised from the factory skimmer faceplate or skimmer opening by only the thickness of the skimmer plug's outer plate. The fasteners which secure the factory skimmer faceplate and the skimmer housing to the pool sidewall still remain accessible for adjustment by the pool owner or pool service personnel while the skimmer plug is securely in place.

Abstract: A urinal attachment for a toilet bowl has a flow diverter with a receptacle bowl at a top end of the flow diverter. The receptacle bowl leads to a receptacle neck which leads to a receptacle elbow which leads to a first vertical tube in telescopic connection with a second vertical tube. The second vertical tube leads to an outlet. A bowl connector portion includes a front shield bracket connecting the flow diverter to a rim of the toilet bowl. The bracket includes a rim connector having a vertical rim member, a horizontal rim member and a rim scoop. The rim scoop has a select convex shape and a front shield with a bottom rim. The front shield has a convex shape.

Abstract: A drawstring potty chair liner includes a composite sheet of material having an absorbent layer and a liquid barrier, and a drawstring extending around a periphery of the sheet and accessible at opposite sides thereof. The sheet is placed into the bowl of a potty chair with the water resistant side facing the bowl. After the potty chair is used, the drawstrings are drawn up to enclose waste within the sheet with the water resistant side out. The sheet can then be discarded or transported over a toilet, opened and emptied, or otherwise discarded.

The central member (12) is positioned between a user's legs in such a way that the user straddles during operation of the device (10, 100), thereby providing an inexpensive, lightweight lifting device that can be used in very close quarters.

Abstract: A patient positioning device provided to position, protect and secure a patient on a support surface for transfer to another support surface or for preparation for surgery. The positioning device includes a sheet with a first and second flexible substrate coupled to the sheet's top surface. The first and second flexible substrates may be padded. These substrates are capable of wrapping around an adjacent arm of the patient creating a wrapped engagement. This wrapped engagement may pad, protect, secure and elevate the arms from injury caused by pressure imparted thereon during surgery or transport. This positioning device may be lifted or slid from one support surface to another. Optionally, a third and fourth flexible substrate capable of wrapping around an adjacent arm of the patient creating a second wrapped engagement may be used for additional securing. Optionally, an inflatable support may be used with the device to aid when sliding or translating the device 10 with the patient thereon.

Abstract: A climate controlled seat, bed or other assembly configured to receive a person includes a blower and two or more thermoelectric devices or other conditioning fluid modules. According to one embodiment of an operational scheme, a control system for the seat or bed is configured to continuously discharge air from the blower through the thermoelectric devices. In one arrangement, the thermoelectric devices are sequenced between an activated and a deactivated position. Consequently, the desired cooling and/or cooling effect can be maintained while reducing energy consumption of the climate control system.

Abstract: The present invention relates more specifically to a bed sheet for secure placement of a child which provides breathable elements and/or a truss for preventing the child from being crushed or suffocated when a parent occupies a bed with the child. The bed sheet comprises at least one bumper extending upwardly from the top surface of the sheet. The bumpers form a substantially continuous closed wall that defines a secure area for the child to be placed. In one aspect of the invention, the bumper has an air flow passage that prevents suffocation of the child if the child's mouth and nose are forced against the bumper. In another aspect of the invention, a truss is disposed across and above at least a portion of the secure area when inserted into the bumpers.

Abstract: An orthopedic pillow for supporting a user is disclosed. The user has a head and a torso. The pillow comprises a head rest for supporting the head of the user and a wedge-shaped portion having a tapered surface. The wedge-shaped portion is attached to and extends away from the head rest. The tapered surface of the wedge-shaped portion supports portions of the torso of the user. The wedge-shaped portion has a shoulder recess depressed from the tapered surface to receive a shoulder of the user.

Abstract: A flexible cushion has a shell and a stiffening insert inside the shell. The insert is partially immobilized relative to one or both surfaces of the shell to prevent bunching, or lumping of the insert. The partial immobilization is effected through the use of thin straps loosely intertwined with the insert and bonded to the edges of the shell, or through the use of a foil which holds the insert against one of the surfaces of the shell and is bonded to that surface through sufficiently large perforations in the insert to allow a degree of the insert in case of a deformation of the shell, for instance when the cushion is rolled up.

Abstract: A self inflating seat cushion, comprised of an impermeable outer cover and foam filled, or other similar material, inner core with an attached cover that wraps around the seat cushion when deflated and rolled up, with a valve that allows fluid transmission between the atmosphere and the inner core. Said valve is used to inflate and deflate the cushion. Said cover is secured using devices such as hook and loop fasteners or snaps or other similar devices. This cover acts as a means for storage and transport of the cushion when not in use.

Thus, the gasbags corresponding to the waist need longer time periods.
