Abstract: The City Hard Hat Visor, is a specially designed attachable sun visor configured to be easily secured to an existing hard hat. The City Hard Hat Visor is comprised of a circular shaped retaining strap which is secured about the base of the hard hat. Fully adjustable, this strap is secured in place via a simple hook and loop, more commonly referred to as Velcro, fastener. Positioned on this strap are two or four sturdy, fabric covered semi-rigid visors. These visors are secured to the retaining strap via a pivoting hinge, enabling the wearer to flip the visor upwards and rest it flush against the front, sides or back of the hard hat when not in use.

Abstract: A protective hand guard, equipped with rigid inserts, with a primary use as a defensive deterrent to attack or assault. The inserts protrude from a fabric covering, which fits around a hand, similarly to a fingerless glove or a mitt. Specifically, the rigid inserts can be positioned either in the knuckle-side or palm-side of the hand, and held in place within pockets of an over covering. The rigid inserts are cushioned at their bases and mounted within the pockets, to provide comfort and absorption of impacts against the inserts. The inserts can be curved to follow the natural contours of the knuckle or palm, as desired.

Abstract: A garment which provides medical access to an access port is disclosed. The garment is an article of apparel, such as a shirt, having an access port aligned with a receiving element such as a medical access device or receiving implant within a patient. The access port is surrounded by an elastically stretchable material which has a memory and returns to its original shape after being stretched and deformed. The article of apparel may have a material such as neoprene surrounding the access port. The entire shirt may be formed of neoprene. Alternatively, a first section of the garment may be formed of neoprene while the remainder of the garment may be formed of a second material. In various embodiments, the garment may include a flap which covers the access port and is optionally held in place via hook and loop fasteners. The flap is optionally adapted to hold a dressing over the access port when in its closed position.

Integrally formed with the hospital gown is a disposable wrapper that is particularly positioned or placed such that the gown can be rolled or folded into a bundle, after which the disposable wrapper is reversed and in the process of reversing the disposable wrapper, the bundled gown is stuffed or placed into the reversed disposable wrapper for disposal.

Abstract: An energy absorbing receiving glove constructed with a substrate having an exterior surface and a complementary interior surface. The substrate is used in constructing a palmar portion of the glove. The glove may incorporates a gripping layer of material affixed to the exterior surface of the substrate. Further, the glove may incorporate an energy absorbing layer of material affixed to the interior surface of the substrate. Additionally, the energy absorbing layer of material may have both a first thickness in a first location and a second thickness in a second location of the substrate. In an embodiment, the energy absorbing material is a silicone gel and the gripping material is a silicone material. Additionally, the varied thicknesses of the energy absorbing material may be effective for covering a palmar side of joints located on a hand wearing the glove.

Abstract: A fly fishing glove stabilizes a wearer's wrist and does not allow the wrist to bend or twist, thus providing longer and more accurate casts. The glove may include a palm side stabilizer, a backside hand stabilizer, and an ulnar side stabilizer. When the glove is worn, two straps, one in the glove body and one in an arm cuff of the glove, secure the glove and the stabilizers in position. The stabilizers may limit, minimize or prevent movement of the wearer's wrist and may provide a wrist position ideal for casting a fly fishing line.

Abstract: An ambidextrous glove that includes a thumb region, an index finger region, a middle finger region, a ring finger region and little finger region all aligned along a common axis. The index finger region is rotated through ninety degrees relative to the orientations of all of the middle, ring and little finger regions to provide for easier insertion of a hand into the glove. A textured pattern is provided on the surfaces of the glove used to grip objects. The pattern is one of a raised fan shape and raised diamond shape.

The panel is made of a lens-safe, flexible, and resilient material which allows it to fit most size goggles. Further, top and bottom panels may have elastic inner edges, which help the cover to contour to the shape of the goggle. In addition, a lens cleaning cloth is interconnected to the top panel.

Abstract: The inventive concept is directed to an insect protective garment that is manufactured of synthetic fibers to produce a non-woven fabric to result in a predetermined thickness that will not allow the stinger of an insect to reach the skin of a wearer. The resulting non-woven fabric exhibit's a multitude of interstices that allow a ventilation of the skin of wearer to be ventilated in certain climates. The non-woven fabric cannot collapse on itself to reduce its thickness. The garment my consist of an upper torso covering jacket including a hood and a lower torso covering pair of pants. The protective garment may include an insect repellent substance that may be instrumental of keeping insects away from the garment from the beginning in certain climates.

Movement of the handle moves the plunger from first axis to the second axis wherein actuation of the flush valve by the plunger along the first axis results in a different flush volume than actuation along the second axis.

The bushing has a sleeve with a passage therethrough for mounting the plunger for sliding and tilting. The passage is defined by first and second partially overlapping bores that coincide at the inner end of the sleeve and are spaced one above the other at the outer end of the sleeve. The bores define a horizontal plunger travel axis and an angled plunger travel axis. Depending on which direction the user actuates the handle the plunger will travel along one of these axes. Travel along the angled axis will lower the plunger tip, allowing earlier clearance of a relief valve and a reduced flow through the flush valve compared to actuation with the plunger travel along the horizontal axis.

Abstract: Shower curtain tension rods comprising a stationary rod, movable rod and adjustable end cap are disclosed. The movable rod may telescope in the stationary rod and may be secured in an axially extended position with respect to the stationary rod. The adjustable end cap may be axially extended from the movable rod and/or stationary rod to provide greater holding force for the tension rod. The shower curtain tension rods may be installed quickly and easily in various sizes of bath and shower stalls.

Abstract: A system is provided for enhancing the interconnectability of a bathtub to a plumbing system. More specifically, provided is a flexible conduit and an overflow assembly that allows for a portion of the overflow assembly to be easily located with the wall of a bathtub. The flexible conduit provided allows for adjustability of the conduit to the openings of the bathtub. In addition, provided are methods and apparatus that facilitate testing of a plumbing assembly. Finally, an apparatus and methods are provided that protect portions of the finished bathtub assembly to decrease in the need for replacing said hardware. It is envisioned that aspects and inventions disclosed herein can be used in conjunction to facilitate the interconnection and protection of hardware associated with a bathtub.

Therefore, the invention is convenient for a caregiver to directly move the infant carrier from any place else to the infant-carrier docking station without waking up the baby sleeping on the infant carrier.

The hammock may also include a ridge line extending from the first tether, through the upper portion, to the second tether. The ridge line may have a length greater than the distance between the first and second ends of the bed portion. Accordingly, the upper portion may be suspended some distance above the bed portion, creating greater space for the occupant within the enclosure.

Abstract: The present invention is a two-ply convertible pillow blanket device with an internal pocket. The device can be used as a traditional blanket. Alternatively, if the user desires to use the device as a pillow, he or she simply unfastens the internal pocket, folds down the blanket toward the internal pocket, inverts and refastens the internal pocket with the folded portion of the blanket inside thereby forming the pillow. When the opening of the internal pocket is refastened it forms a pillow which is nearly identical to a traditional pillow.

The breathable blanket may include a multi-layer material having a combination of light-weight liner fabric and a mesh fabric. The first longitudinal side is configured with a head-receiving contour for isolating and supporting the baby's head during sleeping, feeding, or traveling in a car seat—thus reducing flat head syndrome. The third longitudinal side is configured with a bottle-receiving contour. If used in combination with a second pillow of the present invention, the head of the baby can rest within the head-receiving contour of the first pillow, while the bottle to feed the baby can rest within the bottle-receiving contour of the second pillow; thus assisting with proper digestion during feeding by elevating the head above the stomach level.

The method for controlling the same includes performing primary rotation of the motor, detecting a primary laundry amount on the basis of the primary rotation of the motor, supplying, if the detected laundry amount is equal to or greater than a predetermined laundry amount, a predetermined amount of water or water corresponding to a predetermined water level to the washing tub in such a manner that the laundry becomes wet, performing secondary rotation of the motor, and detecting a secondary laundry amount on the basis of the secondary rotation of the motor. Thus, the washing machine correctly detects the amount of laundry.

Abstract: An off-balance detection method comprises a plurality of off-balance detection schemes that utilize wash basket speed to detect an off-balance load condition at speed ranges that span the entire spin cycle and include speeds corresponding to natural frequencies of a mass comprising a wash tub and a wash basket. The schemes can be used alone or in combination with one or more of the other schemes. The off-balance detection method can further comprise a power limiting method to prevent motor overload when an off-balance condition is present.

Abstract: A method, for optimizing a rinsing phase in a washing machine includes introducing rinsing liquid in a last step of the rinsing phase into an outer tub of the washing machine. A sensor detects a presence of fabric softener in the rinsing liquid to produce a signal which is compared with a reference signal to determine the presence of fabric softener in the rinsing liquid. Rinsing is executed with water only in the absence of fabric softener, or with water and fabric softener in the presence of fabric softener, with a washing kinetics reduced by at least 15% when rinsing involves water and fabric softener and including a switch-on time, duration of a reversing cycle, and rotational speed of a drum of the outer tub. Switch-on time and rotational speed are hereby each reduced by at least 20% whereas duration of the reversing cycle is increased by at least 20%.

Abstract: The present penetration-resistant fabric manufacturing method which prevents yarn breakage during the manufacturing process comprises the steps of: (i) blending a fusible yarn and a support yarn to form a blended yarn; (ii) the blended yarn and an elastomeric yarn are formed into a fabric; (iii) treating the fabric by heating so that the fusible yarn melts and spreads over the fabric; and (iv) cooling the fabric to form a penetration barrier. The present invention prevents yarn breakage during the manufacturing process.
