Abstract: A boil-off gas (BOG) stream (15) from a liquefied hydrocarbon storage tank is split into a BOG heat exchanger feed stream (25) and a BOG bypass stream (35). The BOG heat exchanger feed stream (25) is heat exchanged in a BOG heat exchanger (40) against a process stream (135), thereby providing a warmed BOG stream (45) and a cooled process stream (195). The warmed BOG stream (45) is combined with the BOG bypass stream (35) to provide a temperature controlled BOG stream (55).

Abstract: An apparatus and method wherein potential ozone layer-damaging chlorodifluoromethane (Refrigerant R-22) is substituted with a mix of less environmentally damaging refrigerants pentafluoroethane and tetrafluoroethane in chlorodifluoromethane-based air-cooling systems mainly in residential cooling. While less environmentally damaging than chlorodifluoromethane, the substitute refrigerant has a temperature-pressure relationship similar to that of chlorodifluoromethane, making the substitute refrigerant suitable for use with chlorodifluoromethane-based air-cooling systems. In this event, it is mixed with a relatively small percentage of a lubricating oil which is compatible with both the unit refrigerant and typical R-22 system design.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for treating a carbon dioxide-containing gas stream. Precompressed raw gas stream (1) is partially liquefied in a cryogenic carbon dioxide purification stage (2, 3, 4). Part of the resultant liquid is used to obtain a gas stream having an elevated carbon dioxide content (7). From the non-liquefied raw gas, a gas stream having a reduced carbon dioxide content is obtained. This vent gas stream is expanded and the refrigeration generated is recovered for cooling the raw gas stream. The carbon dioxide gas stream is compressed (8) to a final pressure and fed to further utilization and/or storage. Abstract: When fixing a glass layer 3 to a glass member 4 by irradiation with laser light employing a one portion 31 of the glass layer 3 as start and end points, the glass layer 3 is cut at the one portion 31. In the glass layer 3, the one portion 31 is made thicker than a main portion 32, whereby end parts 3a, 3b rise fully. Melting the end parts 3a, 3b by irradiation with laser light L2 for a preliminary stage for final firing while pressing them toward the glass member 4 reliably buries a gap G and homogenizes the thickness of the glass layer 3. Abstract: A chemical vapor deposition process for depositing zinc oxide coatings is provided. The process includes providing a glass substrate and a coating apparatus. The coating apparatus includes two or more separate flow pathways. Each flow pathway provides communication between an inlet opening and an outlet opening, and one or more flow conditioners disposed in each of the flow pathways. Gaseous precursor compounds are provided. The gaseous precursor compounds and the one or more inert gases are introduced as two or more streams into the inlet openings. The streams are directed through the two or more separate flow pathways and discharged from the outlet openings of the coating apparatus. The gaseous precursor compounds and one or more inert gases mix to form a zinc oxide coating on a surface of the glass substrate.
