Abstract: Improvements are provided in the detection of atmospheric vapors by ionizing them near ambient pressure, and analyzing them as ions. Lowest detection limits of parts per quadrillion (ppq) concentrations are enabled by a combination of improvements, including the use of a filter to remove occasional intense signal from explosive particles. Several sources of chemical background are identified and solutions for their reduction or elimination are presented. Gains in response time may be achieved by operating at elevated temperature. When the ionizer is an electrospray source, the use of high boiling point solvents is indicated. An increased selectivity is achieved by operating a differential mobility analyzer (DMA) in series with a mass spectrometer. However, ppq sensitivities require various improvements in the DMA system including a special coupling to the ionizer, controlling the temperature in the DMA pump circuit, avoidance of induction on the DMA electrodes from heating devices, etc.

Abstract: This invention relates to powder metallurgy, more specifically, to composite material production methods, and can be used for the production of copper base binders for diamond tools used in the construction industry and stone working. The copper binder comprises the following components (wt. %): Copper (30-60), iron (20-35), cobalt (10-15), tin (0-10.5), tungsten carbide (0-20) and an alloying addition. According to the first variant the alloying addition is a nanopowder having a specific surface area 6-25 m2/g, which is present in an amount of 1-15% wt. According to the second variant the alloying addition is a nanopowder having a specific surface area of 75-150 m2/g, which is present in an amount of 0.01-5% wt. The binder possesses a high wear resistance without the essential increase in the required sintering temperature, as well as high hardness, strength and impact toughness.

Abstract: The invention relates to a preparation method for stainless steel slags and modified steelworks slags for recovery of metal. In order to create a dry preparation method which guarantees a low wear and energy efficient comminution and de-agglomeration of stainless steel slags and modified steelworks slags as well as a selective separation of a metal fraction and a silicate fraction and which can be variable in relation to the different slag compositions and different requirements upon the quality of the metal fraction and the at least one silicate fraction, a roller mill is used at least for the comminution. The slags are supplied with a feed grain size of up to approximately 150 mm. The use of an air swept roller mill is advantageous, in which the comminution and de-agglomeration, if necessary drying, and at the same time a separation into an extensively mineral-free metal fraction and a virtually metal-free silicate fraction are brought together.

Abstract: A foldable hand tool has a handle and a tool's driving head. The tool is mainly characterized by that, the handle is provided with a driving head guide groove, which is extended along the handle and set correspondingly with the handle's long guide hole. The driving head guide groove penetrates one side of the handle. A combined lug is protruded from the assembly end of the tool's driving head, and fitted slidably with the driving head guide groove of the handle. When the tool's driving head swings perpendicular to the handle, it can slide along the driving head guide groove. With the arrangement of said driving head guide groove, the hand tool can be configured into a straight or T-shaped pattern, thus improving the ease-of-operation and flexibility to meet the customer demands with higher applicability.
