Abstract: A hypocycloid reducer 70 for reducing rotation of a flat motor 60 to output the speed-reduced rotation to a drum is provided between the drum and the flat motor 60, a rotor shalt member 65 which is rotated with the same rotation number as the flat motor 60 is axially aligned with the drum is provided on the same side as the flat motor 60. An output rotation body 74 for outputting the speed-reduced rotation is axially aligned with the drum and provided on the same side as the drum. Since the rotor shaft member 65 and the output rotation body 74 are axially aligned with the drum, turning force can be transmitted bi-directionally between the rotor shaft member 65 and the output rotation body 74. Therefore, it is possible to eliminate an electromagnetic clutch to reduce the driving apparatus in size and weight, and since wires and control logic of the electromagnetic clutch are not needed for the driving apparatus, the driving apparatus can be reduced in production cost.

Abstract: Coupling mechanisms for engaging and releasing a tool attachment such as a socket from a drive element include an engaging element and an actuating element. The actuating element can include a collar or other manually-accessible part, and various features allow for a relatively small outside diameter for the collar or other part. These features include configuring the actuating element to contact the engaging element within the drive element, placing the biasing elements within the drive element, and forming guides for parts of the actuating element within the drive element. A guided element is coupled between the engaging element and a biasing element and is arranged to partially overlap the biasing element.

Abstract: The invention provides a pair of pliers capable of properly pinching a screw head and reliably removing a screw from an object to which the screw has been fastened even if the screw has small thickness of a peripheral face to be pinched between pinching teeth. The pair of pliers is formed by coupling a first arm 1 and a second arm 2 each having a jaw portion 4 and a grip 5 through a coupling shaft 3 in an X shape. Each of the jaw portions 4, 4 is provided on left and right sides of a front end thereof with flanks 16, 16 for preventing opposite corners of front ends of each of the jaw portions 4, 4 from coming in contact with a screw fastened face 22. Each of the jaw portions 4, 4 also comprises longitudinal pinching teeth 13, 13 capable of pinching the peripheral face of the screw head 21 so as to be recessed in opposed faces of the respective jaw portions 4, 4 between the left and right flanks 16, 16.

Abstract: A hand tool includes a handle and an elbow structure. The handle has a grasp portion and a rod portion connecting collinearly. The elbow structure has a first section and a second section, wherein the first section connects with the handle collinearly, and the second section connected to the first section slantwise at an acute angle. A complementary angle to the acute angle is defined thereby. The hand tool defines an operative length, which is along the first axis of the first section from a bottom end of the grasp portion of the handle to a top end of the first section of the elbow structure. The operative length going with the complementary angle offers the hand tool facile manipulation.
