An opening in the waistband is provided in the location of the button to provide access to the adjustable band contained within the channel. A flap attached to an upper portion of the waistband extends over the opening of the waistband for closing the opening. The flap can include a self-gripping material and a self-gripping material can be positioned under the flap for providing secure closure of the flap.

Abstract: A garment for improving the wearer's posture provides cords that, when secured in place, exert a slight pressure against the wearer's shoulders each time he/she starts to slouch, serving as a reminder to be more erect. The garment had a horizontal channel that is located around the body of the user, preferably just below the breast area, that accommodates a first cord. The garment further includes vertically-extending channels that extend upward from the horizontal channel and over the shoulders of the user. A cord extending along each vertical channel engages the cord in the horizontal channel such that the horizontal cord anchors the vertical cord(s) when the cords are pulled sufficiently, lightly engage the front of the wearer's shoulders. Once the cords are secured in place, the wearer will feel a slight pressure against his/her shoulders each time he/she starts to slouch, serving as a reminder to be more erect.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a nursing garment having front and rear portions. The front portion includes an inner layer positionable against the wearer's breasts. The inner layer has a first opening defined therein located proximal to the nipple of one of the wearer's breasts for providing access thereto. An outer layer having a second opening is superimposed on the inner layer. The first and second openings are alignable with each other to allow the nipple to be exposed. Also provided is a curtain member disposed between the inner and outer layers. The curtain member is accessible through the second opening and is moveable between a concealing position which obstructs access to the first opening through the second opening, and a revealing position which allows communication between the first and second openings to permit the nipple to be exposed for nursing.

Abstract: Articles of clothing, such as gloves having a substantially seamless inner liner and methods of manufacturing the same are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a process for manufacturing a glove comprises stretching an outer layer inside-out over a glove form, such that an interior surface of the outer layer faces outward. A liner having a first side and a second side opposite the first side is cut from a fabric, such as fleece. An adhesive is deposited in an adhesive pattern onto the first side of the liner. The adhesive fuses to the interior surface of the outer layer in a heat/pressure procedure, thereby affixing the first side of the liner to the interior surface of the outer layer to form the glove. The glove is removed from the glove form and inverted to a right-side-out configuration, thereby compressing the outer layer and the liner.

Abstract: There is disclosed a composition for producing an elastomeric film comprising: a synthetic polymer, sulphur, and a metal-oxide cross-linking agent. The concentration of the total solids in the composition is between 5-20% by weight of the composition. Also disclosed is a multiple-coating method of manufacturing an elastomeric film comprising the steps of: (i) providing a composition comprising a synthetic polymer, a cross linking agent, wherein the concentration of the total solids in the composition is between 5-20% by weight of the composition, (ii) contacting the composition with a mould to form a layer of composition on the mould, (iii) contacting the layer of composition on the mould with a further amount of the composition to form a further layer, (iv) drying the composition, and (v) curing the composition.

Abstract: A protective helmet includes a head cap, which surrounds and moves with a wearer's head, and an outer shell which surrounds the head cap. The outer shell is movable both radially and circumferentially relative to the head cap. An energy absorbing flexible liner is located between the head cap and the outer shell. The liner is attached to the outer shell and the head cap so that neither the head cap nor the head of the wearer is otherwise attached to the outer shell. The liner establishes a preset initial relative position and spacing between the head cap and the outer shell and compliantly absorbs energy imparted to the outer shell during a helmet impact to enable the outer shell to move relative to the head cap during the helmet impact and to be returned to the initial relative position with the head cap following the impact.

Abstract: The present invention is a protective helmet having multiple zones of protection suitable for use in construction work, athletic endeavors, and similar activities. The helmet includes a hard outer protective that is suspended over a hard anchor zone by elastic cords extending between an elastomeric zone between the outer and inner zones. Fluid filed bladders are positioned in the elastomeric zone and bulge through one or more of a plurality of apertures located in the outer zone. In one embodiment, an additional crumple zone is present. The structure enables the helmet to divert linear and rotational forces away from the user's braincase.

Abstract: A low profile protective helmet having an outer shell and an interior surface that is immediately adjacent the top of the wearer's head while the helmet is being worn. The interior surface includes a plurality of fasteners that are connectable to a prior art suspension liner. Each of the fasteners is disposed between first and second rib members. Each rib member is a raised ridge in the interior surface that restricts the side-to-side movement of the suspension liner's integral head straps by the retaining action of the rib members as the integral head straps are attached to each fastener.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a protective pad that is comprised of an impact shell and a damping component. The damping component may be formed by a plurality of connecting members that are separated from the impact shell by a plurality of extension members that extend between the damping lattice and the impact shell. The damping component may also be formed by a sheet-like form that is separated from the impact shell by a plurality of extension members that extend between the damping sheet and the impact shell. The damping component is formed from an elastomer that aids in absorbing a portion of an impact force that is distributed across the damping component by the impact shell. The dampening component may be affixed to the impact shell by way of a coupling frame that is incorporated into the impact shell.

Abstract: The inventive concept is directed to an insect protective garment that is manufacture of synthetic fibers to produce a non-woven fabric to result in a predetermined thickness that will not allow the stinger of an insect to reach the skin of a wearer. The resulting non-woven fabric exhibits a multitude of convoluted interstices that allow a ventilation of the skin of wearer to be ventilated in certain climates. The non-woven fabric cannon collapse on itself to reduce its thickness. The garment may consist of an upper torso covering jacket including a hood and lower torso covering pair of pants. The protective garment may include an insect repellent substance that may be instrumental in keeping insects away from the garment from the beginning in certain climates.

Abstract: A control system for a flush toilet includes a water delivery device for delivering a source of flush water to a bowl. The control system includes a controller and a user interface. The controller is operative to control the toilet through a flush sequence in a first mode and a second mode. In the first mode, the controller opens the water delivery device to deliver a predetermined amount of water to the bowl. In the second mode, the controller opens the water delivery device to deliver a user adjustable amount of water to the bowl. The user interface is in communication with the controller for selecting between the first mode and the second mode. Where the toilet is a macerator toilet, the controller monitors current draw unit when the current draw satisfies a predetermined current condition. The controller may operate in a normal mode and a lockout mode.

Abstract: A dual flush device is disclosed to provide a full flush for removing solid waste and a water-saving partial flush for removing liquid or light solid waste in a toilet. It includes a first flush handle attached to a shaft to raise a lever to open a flapper valve, and a second flush handle that overlaps the first handle and opens the flapper valve through the first handle. A float assembly is disclosed to be used either with the dual flush device or with the original single flush lever assembly to prematurely close an opened flapper valve and reduce water consumption. Using the original flapper valve in a conventional toilet tank, a dual flush function is achieved by any of the three implementation choices: (1) the dual flush device alone; (2) the dual flush device and a float assembly; and (3) a float assembly alone.

The invention is characterised in that the drain means (14?) is connected to a extendable hose (17) positioned inside the prefabricated chamber, and, while the tank remains inside the chamber, the extendable hose can be used to convey and direct the drain flow towards a drain point outside the chamber.

In particular embodiments, the locking mechanism is operatively connected to the play yard frame's lower frame members and includes a rotatable member configured for being rotated to adjust the locking mechanism between the locked position and the unlocked position. The locking mechanism's rotatable member enables the locking mechanism to be secured in the locked position when the play yard is in use and is easily adjusted by a user to the unlocked position when the play yard is to be collapsed for storage.

Abstract: Box spring assemblies employing foam cushioning grids, and related components, mattress assemblies, and methods are disclosed. Foam cushioning grids are comprised of a plurality of foam grid members that are interconnected to form the foam cushioning grid. By interconnecting the foam grid members, a plurality of voids may be disposed between the interconnecting foam grid members as part of the foam cushioning grid. In this manner, as a non-limiting example, the foam cushioning grid can be disposed on a wire grid, such as in box springs, to provide cushioning support for the wire grid, as one non-limiting example. A load placed on the wire grid will be cushioned by the foam cushioning grid disposed therebetween. Further, as a non-limiting example, voids in the foam cushioning grid allow air to easily flow between the interconnected foam grid members.

A u-shaped headrest is removably attachable to the head support. In a stored configuration the head support is disposed within the intermediate support and the intermediate support is disposed within the base support where the base support, intermediate support and head support all reside in substantially the same plane. In a deployed configuration the base support and head support are generally horizontally positioned and the intermediate support is generally vertically positioned.

Abstract: A cushioning support device and a method for making the same are disclosed. The device comprises a first polyurethane foam having a non-slip sheet attached on a surface of the first foam, a second polyurethane foam having a resting sheet attached on a surface of the second foam, and a compound pressure-redistributing body. The first and second polyurethane foams are arranged one over another into a stack which is welded and envelops to form at least an internal pocket along a weld line. The internal pocket houses the pressure-redistributing body, and it comprises a foam and a solid gel attached on a top surface of the foam, wherein the solid gel is securely positioned by way of melting. Dips of the gel can lodge into the small interstices of the foam material during the melting process; the gel gets into a solid state after solidification.

The fluid container has an outer surface including a resilient material that may be displaced in response to a pressure similar to the pressure of fluid contained in the fluid container. The outer surface is allowed to refill the displaced volume and thereby engage the portion of the sheet against the lower surface of the mattress.
