Abstract: A tape for fixing an electrode assembly and a method of manufacturing a battery are provided. The tape for fixing an electrode assembly can effectively fix an electrode assembly in a can by realizing a 3D shape by means of an electrolyte. Thus, the tape can be useful in preventing the electrode assembly from moving and rotating inside a can by external vibration or impact and also preventing damage of welded regions of a tab or disconnection of inner circuits.

Abstract: The present invention relates to methods, tools and systems for manufacturing a durable and portable power-conditioned personal solar system charging apparatus. Various voltage and amperage matching algorithms are manipulated to particularize the personal solar system to power and/or charge an intended portable device or a set of intended portable devices having direct current (DC) load requirements. The optimized personal solar system that is matched to an intended device allows direct coupling to the intended device without the use of an internal battery or ancillary electronic circuit boards to distract the personal solar system output, and facilitates “fast” charging modes.

The opening (9) has a first portion (10a) with a first inner cross section, which is greater than the outer cross section of the assigned end of the supporting tube (1). According to the invention, the first portion (10a) is adjoined by a second portion (10b), in a step-shaped manner so as to form an edge (11). The inner cross section of the second portion (10b) is smaller than the outer cross section of the assigned end of the supporting tube (1). In the method according to the invention, the supporting tube (1) is first inserted with its corresponding end into the first portion (10a), before the edge (11) cuts into the material of the supporting tube (1) in a further pushing-in movement.

Abstract: A length of a substantially linear wire is attached to a substantially linear portion of a wire basket rim wire at two spaced-apart locations. The spaced-apart connections allow the two wires to deflect or act as springs when a notched basket-to-frame attachment clip is driven into a hole or loop formed by a detent in one of the wires. A wire basket having the linear spring wire attached to a rim wire can be permanently attached to a frame portion without tools or welding.

Abstract: An invention aimed at improving the quality of cartridge razor shaves is disclosed. Before shaving, a lubricant, for instance an oil, is delivered from a dispenser directly to blades, plate-limited spaces and skin relubrication chambers of razor cartridges according to the invention or state of the art cartridges. During the razor's strokes, the delivered dose—releasably retained inside the cartridge by surface tension and adhesion—lubricates 1) between blades and skin, 2) between the razor interior structures, 3) between hair stubs and skin flakes draining outwards, as well as 4) the skin in the razor's path. The skin is prepared with lubricant from the same dispenser, spread manually with soap and water and eventually supplemented with a small amount of other lubricant. Residual cartridge lubricant facilitates complete rinsing and protects the blades from corrosion.

After obtaining the measurement the system preferably automatically make such adjustments. The system includes a content generation side which creates pattern styles of garments and provides such pattern styles to an online store. The system also includes a user-side through which a user generates a user body outline and interacts with the online store to access such pattern style drawings for use in association with the body outline to draft garment patterns that are fully customized to the user.

The locking system has the ability to limit the assembly of a locking dipstick to one radial position. The cap has an engagement end. A cup has a receiving end. The engagement end of the cap is removably sealably disposable in the receiving end of the cup. The lock system may include a pair of slots on the cap and a pair of lugs on the cup, and a tab on the cap and a shoulder/recess on the cup that cooperate to limit the system to one way assembly. The tab and recess also provide a visible lock indicator to confirm that the slots and lugs, which are not visible, are fully engaged and locked.

Abstract: A non-contact sludge drying system with flue gas heat according to the present invention includes a dryer, and further includes an economizer, a high-temperature flue gas heat recovery device, and an air preheater that are successively disposed in the flue along a flue gas flowing direction. A heater is disposed in the dryer, the high-temperature flue gas heat recovery device is connected to the heater by a circulation pipe, a heat transfer medium is disposed in the circulation pipe, a heat transfer medium driving device is disposed on the circulation pipe, and the dryer is connected to a sludge vapor recovery system. The non-contact sludge drying system with flue gas heat according to the present invention uses the flue gas heat from a thermal power plant boiler or another industrial boiler as a heat source to further dehydrate and dry the dehydrated sludge of the sewage treatment plant, so that the dried sludge can be used as a fuel with certain heat of combustion or composted for further treatment.

Abstract: Systems and related methods of using heat to process an agriculture/product are provided. The system comprises a circulating fluidized bed combustor, a first conduit system, and an indirect heating dryer. The circulating fluidized bed combustor comprises a combustion chamber configured to combust a fuel to generate a mixture comprising hot gases and particulate matter, and a separation chamber configured to separate at least a portion of the particulate matter from the mixture to form a flow of cleaned hot gas. The first conduit system is configured to conduct the cleaned hot gas to a heat exchanger. The indirect heating dryer is in heat conductive contact with the heat exchanger and configured to use the heat from the cleaned hot gas to indirectly dry the agricultural product without contacting the agricultural product with the cleaned hot gas.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for separating a slurry mixture into its constituent melted liquid form and solid frozen form. This involves forcing the slurry mixture through an inlet into a vessel and through the vessel to an opening, wherein the vessel comprises a plurality of perforations dimensioned to receive a liquid flow from the slurry mixture to dry the slurry mixture; vibrating the vessel and the slurry mixture within the vessel to shake the material in the melted liquid form out through the plurality of perforations to dry the slurry mixture; and, extracting the dried slurry mixture from the opening.

A metal strip is guided into and out of the protective gas chamber via locks. At least one lock has at least two sealing elements for the metal strip which runs through it, with the result that a sealed chamber is formed between the two sealing elements. The gas pressure (P2, PD) is measured in the protective gas chamber and in the sealed chamber of the lock and the pressure (PD) in the sealed chamber is regulated, to be precise in such a way that, during operation, the differential pressure between the protective gas chamber and the sealed chamber is kept as far as possible to an optimum value.

Abstract: The invention provides a method for the drying of a wet substrate, the method comprising treating the substrate with a solid particulate material at ambient or elevated temperature, the treatment being carried out in an apparatus comprising a drum comprising perforated side walls, wherein the drum comprising perforated side walls is rotated so as to facilitate increased mechanical action between the substrate and the particulate material. Preferably, the drum comprising perforated side walls has a capacity of between 5 and 50 litres for each kg of fabric in the load and is rotated at a speed which generates G forces in the range of from 0.05 to 0.99 G, and the method is carried out at a temperature of between 5° and 120° C. Preferably, the solid particulate material comprises a multiplicity of particles at a particle to fabric addition level of 0.1:1-10:1 by mass, wherein the particles comprise polymeric particles, non-polymeric particles, or mixtures of polymeric and non-polymeric particles.

Abstract: A system is provided which prevents boot tops from slouching or sagging. The system includes a wrap-around garter for the leg, having on its outer surface a hook-and-loop fastener surface. Self-adhesive strips having the mating hook-and-loop surface are attached to the inside of the boot, near the top of the shaft. The garter is fastened to the leg at the appropriate height, the boot is pulled on, and the hook-and-loop surfaces on the strips are pressed against the hook-and-loop surface of the garter. The garter then holds the boot shaft to the leg, preventing the boot from sagging.
