The quickly releasable vest includes a self locking buckle assembly, a ferrule, an elongated strip, and a socket member. The self locking buckle assembly comprises a wedge fork with a base portion and a body portion, the base portion comprising a security means for webbing and the body portion comprising a pair of legs and a ferrule guide member. The ferrule is adapted to be slidingly disposed on the ferrule guide member. A proximal end portion of the strip is connected to a tape guide member of the ferrule. An opening on the socket member facilitates removably retaining and locking of a prong on each of the pair of legs. The wedge fork, ferrule, and elongated strip Is disposed on a torso panel and the socket member is disposed on the other torso panel.

Fabrics made from such fibers and yarns demonstrate superior flame retardancy over traditional flame retardant nylon 6,6 fabrics. Further, the disclosed fibers and yams, when blended with other flame retardant fibers, do not demonstrate the dangerous “scaffolding effect” common with flame retardant nylon 6,6 blended fabrics.

Each elongated flexible air cylinder contains a foam member with a generally square cross-section and area to enclose a volume of air above the foam member. When one or more air cylinders are connected to a pump and pressure to air cylinders is increased, the area above the foam members enclosed by the flexible air cylinders inflates with air. The volume above the foam member in each flexible air cylinder can retain enough pressure to lift the portion of the patient's body above that air cylinder away from the resilient foam member. The mattress coverlet encompasses a low air loss feature independent of the mattress's user selectable air powered support surface. Such low air loss feature provides a patient contact surface exhibiting a high moisture vapor transfer ratio in conjunction with a forced air flow to aid in reducing the moisture and heat near the patient's body.
