In this state, the pad slide surfaces of the brake rotor are lathed with the reference provided by a wheel pilot end surface. Alternatively, the wheel pilot end surface of the hub ring by chucking the knuckle pilot of the outer member with the wheel bearing device put in its assembled state, and the pad slide surfaces of the brake rotor are lathed with the reference provided by the wheel pilot end surface.

Abstract: An example method of assembling a prophylaxis angle includes inserting a drive gear into a first axial bore defined within a neck of an angle body, the drive gear having a drive gear head and a locking flange axially-offset from the drive gear head. A driven gear is inserted into a second axial bore defined within a head of the angle body, the first and second axial bores being angularly-offset from each other and communicating at an intersection in the angle body. The body defines an opening that spans contiguous portions of both the neck and the head. The drive gear is coupled to the driven gear such that rotation of one rotates the other. A gear retainer is then installed on the head, the gear retainer having an annular body that defines an inner circumferential surface that extends about an outer surface of the head.

Abstract: A non-visible tear seam can be formed in a vehicle interior panel in a mechanical piercing process with a piercing tool that radially supports a needle during the process. The radial support enables the use of higher gauge needles and the formation of non-visible microholes through a visible surface of the panel. The piercing tool is capable of forming each of the microholes of the tear seam individually and may be disposable and/or may be configured with a replaceable needle.

Abstract: A razor having a handle with a power source. A cartridge has a skin contacting surface mounted to the handle. A metallic heat dissipating strip has an upper skin contact surface adjacent to the skin contacting surface of the cartridge. A heating element is positioned below the heat dissipating strip. The heating element has a resistive member with a pair of electrical contacts and a resistance of about 0.5 Ohms to about 20 Ohms. A ceramic insulating member is positioned between the metal heat dissipating strip and the resistive member. An electrical circuit is in electrical communication with the power source and is configured to deliver energy to the resistive member to heat the resistive member of the heating element. The resistive member of the heating element delivers heat to the heat dissipating strip.

Abstract: An edge beveling tool for working leather including a handle; a cutting member comprising an arm with first and second ends, cutting surface(s) being provided on the second end, and a spring assembly for removably engaging the cutting member with the handle. The first end of the cutting member is inserted into a slot defined in the handle and is engaged by the spring assembly. The spring assembly is a spring clip which urges the first end of the cutting member into contact with an interior wall of the handle. When it is desired to replace the first cutting member with a second cutting member having a different cutting profile, the first cutting member is grasped and pulled out of the slot. A first end of the second cutting member is then inserted into the slot where the spring clip urges it contact with the interior wall of the handle.

Abstract: A process for making a jeweled article of manufacture comprising providing a void and placing a jeweled decoration in the void. The jeweled decoration includes a housing having serrations and an upper lip, wherein the upper lip secured the jewel to the housing, and the serrations secure the housing within the void in the article. In an alternative embodiment, a bottom ring is placed at a bottom end of the jewel and is secured to the inner surface of the housing so that the jewel is secured within the housing.

A nut anchor member comprises a single bent wire or bar of elastically deformable material, and includes: a split ring-shaped portion externally retained in a circular groove provided at the outer periphery of a nut; a pair of left and right leg-like piece portions continuous with both ends of the split ring-shaped portion; and hook piece portions continuous with lower portions of the leg-like piece portions. A cover includes a locking portion that locks the hook piece portions so as to prevent the nut and the nut anchor member from falling from the cover when the nut is detached from the bolt.

Abstract: A reciprocating saw having a clamping arrangement with a clamp support base, a first locking member and a release lever. The clamp support base defines a first blade slot that is configured to receive a saw blade therein. The first locking member is movable between a disengaged position, which does not inhibit withdrawal of the saw blade from the first blade slot, and an engaged position that inhibits withdrawal of the saw blade from the first blade slot. The release lever is pivotally coupled to the clamp support base and coordinates movement of the first locking member.

The system comprises a head-worn unit that displays at least one orientation reference symbol to the person wearing the unit wherein the orientation reference symbol stays in a fixed visual position for the person when the person's head changes orientation. The system also comprises a pitch indicator that gives visual pitch information to the person and a roll indicator that gives visual roll information to the person. The pitch indicator and the roll indicator are responsive to a pendulum, a rolling element, or a fluid in a reservoir. The pitch element and the roll element do not use electricity or electronics.

Abstract: A vertical plastic material drying apparatus having an initial dryer, a vacuum drying hopper and a storage hopper, which form a vertical combination. The storage hopper is connected to a molding machine. A control valve is disposed between neighboring two of the initial dryer, the vacuum drying hopper and the storage hopper and controls the falling amount of the granular or powdery plastic material. In addition, a hot air steam device is connected to the initial dryer and provides the high-temperature hot air to enter the initial dryer. A vacuuming device is connected to the vacuum drying hopper and vacuums the gas from the vacuum drying hopper. Because the initial dryer, the vacuum drying hopper and the storage hopper are combined into the vertical form and cannot be moved, the ground area occupied by the drying apparatus is smaller so that the optimization spatial availability is obtained.

The air brake includes a communication hole communicating with the tub to allow air to be introduced into the tub or to be discharged from the tub, a guide rib configured to guide air, introduced through the communication hole, upward of the air brake, and a vent formed in a lateral surface of the air brake to allow air to be discharged outward from the air brake or to allow outside air to be introduced into the air brake, the vent being located below the guide rib to prevent hot air from being discharged from the air brake.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement for drying paint or lacquer on a product, which arrangement is intended to be disposed in a suitable installation space with a support surface for processing the product. The arrangement comprises a drying arch with drying elements extending over the installation space. The drying arch is divided into two arch segments, wherein the two arch segments are mounted at a respective one of two sides opposing each other of the installation space, on a respective actuating unit. The actuating units are arranged at the support surface and comprise, on the one hand, means for moving the actuating unit with its arch segment along its side of the installation space, and, on the other hand, means for tilting the arch segment mounted to the actuating unit at the respective side of the installation space, as well as means for displacing the arch segment mounted to the respective actuating unit outward and inward relative to the installation space and the opposite side thereof.

Abstract: Disclosed therein are a method of manufacturing footwear using adhesive films and a composite of the adhesive film, which can allow an outsole and a midsole to be simultaneously molded and formed through the steps of putting the midsole made of EVA foam and the outsole made of rubber into a mold, inserting an adhesive film between the midsole and the outsole, and applying high temperature and high pressure to the midsole and the outsole, thereby not needing to carry out a cleaning process, a primer coating process, and a bonding process when an outsole and a midsole are manufactured, not needing additional facilities for the cleaning and bonding processes, reducing unnecessary manpower, and improving working environments.

Specifically, among other things, embodiments of the present invention provide a method for constructing a shoe sole including adhering an outsole to a midsole. The outsole is formed from an outsole compound. The outsole compound includes an organic compound, a porous material, and an adhesion enhancer. The organic compound has a boiling point greater than 120° C. The porous material has a specific surface area greater than two square meters per gram. The organic compound is supported on the porous material. The adhesion enhancer eliminates the need for buffing the outsole when forming the outsole from the outsole compound.

Abstract: Provided is an excavating machine, such as for use in digging trenches. The excavating machine includes an earth moving assembly having a wheel, a plurality of teeth mounted on the wheel, a frame retaining a portion of the wheel, and a cleaning assembly for removing spoil from the earth moving assembly prior to the wheel entering the frame. The teeth may include first and second cutting portions. The first cutting portion may include a narrow leading edge, while the second cutting portion includes a wide leading edge. Moreover, the cleaning assembly may include right and left cleaning assemblies which may each include side and front cleaning members, as well as a removable tooth. The machine may include at least one spoil surface for moving spoil removed by the cleaning assembly away from the dug trench.

The coupler having been set to its latched-open condition, the tractor is driven to the bucket so that a bottom-lug of the bucket enters the coupler, whereupon the bucket is picked up and is automatically securely locked into coupler, without any manipulation of the coupler being required of the tractor-driver other than manipulation of the boom. For setting the bucket down on the ground, after use, the driver manually pulls out a slider of the coupler. That action sets the coupler into its slider-held condition, whereby when the tractor is driven away from the bucket, the coupler is automatically left set in the said latched-open condition.

The upper flat bar and the lower flat bar can be brought closer together so as to hold an edge of a piece of paper therebetween by adjusting clamping screws affixed thereto. The upper flat bar and the lower flat bar can be moved away from the horizontal frame member or the vertical frame member by means of stretch knob screws. In one embodiment, the device may be utilized to stretch watercolor paper and prevent the paper from wrinkling.

Abstract: A display device for displaying indicia from a flat surface. The display device includes a flat elongated display panel having a front surface and a back surface. The indicia is displayed on the front surface of the display panel. A round male projection is integrated and extends from the back surface of the flat elongated display panel. A compressible female retaining member is provided and has a concave internal recess adapted to receive the projection within the concave internal recess. A nut fastener is adapted to receive the projection from a first side. The female retaining member is received from an opposite second side of the nut fastener. As the nut fastener is threaded and tightened against the female retaining member, the female retaining member is compressed over the projection to secure the projection within the female retaining member. A flexible arm having a first end is attached to the female retaining member and a second end of the flexible arm is attached to a suction cup fastener.

Abstract: Disclosed is a pivotable signpost support device. The device includes a signpost support that is vertically aligned with a ground post support, wherein the signpost support is disposed above the ground post support that is affixed to a ground post. The signpost support and the ground post support are secured between first vertical support and a second vertical support. The signpost support is pivotally secured to the first and second vertical supports by means of a pivot bolt having a die spring at an end thereof, so that it can pivot forward and backward relative to the first and second vertical supports. The pivot bolt can tighten the die spring so as to keep the signpost support in an upright position but allowing the signpost support to fall into a collapsed position.
