Abstract: A garment for medical emergency services (EMS) workers is provided with one or more features useful to emergency personnel. The garment may include an eyewear pocket at or near the neck of the garment and/or a pocket on the front panel of the shirt that is sized or configured to hold a card, such as an insurance card, while allowing a portion of the card to remain visible. Additional features which may be present alone or in combination with the other disclosed features include a fastener that is off-set from the shoulder seem of the garment and/or a sleeve pocket that is sized to accommodate medical gloves. The various pockets may include a material coating or lining that may increase or decrease the frictional forces between the interior of the pocket and the item retained there in order to assist in the retention of the item or assist in the removal of the item as desired.

Abstract: A load-bearing jacket. More specifically, a jacket comprising an outer layer made of heavy-duty cloth material, removable jacket sleeves, a vest shell, a removable vest liner, an integrated connector system, and an integrated tool belt system. The integrated tool belt system, in some embodiments, includes at least one belt strap permanently affixed to the jacket on one end and having a locking system on the other end.

Abstract: In a first embodiment, a gas-impermeable vapor barrier inner layer of a cold weather suit prevents condensation of body moisture in outer layers, thus preventing degradation of outer-layer insulating value. Body moisture vapor is collected by a network of tubes inside the inner layer, and fed through a one-way valve into a facemask, where it is added to inhaled air. Heat of vaporization of body moisture, and body heat lost to air convection, is thus recovered by displacing a like amount of heat of vaporization of moisture, and heat added to exhaled air, respectively, that would have been added by the lungs. The basic system can be further improved by additional gas-impermeable insulating layers, and by providing a coupling to detach the facemask from the tube network, so that the remaining tube network is inconspicuous within the suit. In a second embodiment, a heat exchanger also recovers heat, and heat of condensation, from exhaled air and uses it to pre-warm air entering the suit to be inhaled.

Abstract: A wearable signaling device for use by bicyclists. The wearable signaling device includes one or more adjustable straps to be disposed on a limb of a user, such as the user's arms or legs. The straps may be elastic or can include hook and loop fastening material thereon. The straps further include a light assembly permanently or removably supported thereon, wherein the light assembly helps to increase the visibility of the user while riding a bicycle. Further, the light assemblies can be used to indicate the direction in which the user is turning. A hand-operated control is provided that allows the user to indicate which direction he or she wishes to turn by illuminating the lights on the left or right side of the user's body. Thus, the present invention helps to increase the visibility of bicyclists and helps bicyclists to easily indicate their turns to pedestrians and drivers alike.

Abstract: A post-operative wearable apparel adapted to accommodate a plurality of surgical drains so as to give a user greater mobility and a sense of dignity is provided. The post-operative wearable apparel provides an upper body garment having interior and exterior sides dimensioned and adapted for a human wearer. A front side of the upper body garment has separable robe portions for accessing the interior side, wherein a plurality of pockets are conveniently disposed and adapted to retain a portion of each post-operative surgical drain, including their storage bags.

Abstract: A glove used in sports such as football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, snowboarding or motorcycle riding or work such as construction or heavy machinery operation that includes stiffening components attached on top of each finger portion of the glove and anchored beyond the base knuckle on top of the glove to prevent the fingers from hyper-extending or jamming and creating a protective exoskeleton for the entire hand while minimally affecting the degree of freedom and range of motion for the fingers. Each stiffening component is comprised of multiple slits or hinges as well as a sliding swivel pivot hinge which allow the stiffening components to bend in unison with each finger but lock in place to form a solid element and prevent the fingers from hyper-extending when the finger and its accompanying stiffening component are straightened.

Abstract: A neck garment is disclosed. In one aspect, the neck garment includes a neckstrap having a first end and a second end and a pre-tied tie portion attached to the neckstrap at a location between the first end and the second end. A first magnet is located between the pre-tied tie portion and the first end and a ferrous metal is located between the pre-tied portion and the second portion. The locations of the ferrous metal and the magnet define at least one length to which the neckstrap is adjustable.

Abstract: A bib and corresponding mounting clip are disclosed. A bib body may include one or more of an upper reinforcement member, a plurality of body reinforcement members, and a plurality of pocket reinforcement members. The upper reinforcement facilitates having the bib body be suspended from the mounting clip at a single location or region. The plurality of body reinforcement members allows the bib body to be shaped to “funnel” food particles and the like, for instance into a pocket incorporated by the bib body. The plurality of pocket reinforcement members may be used to retain such a pocket in an open configuration.

Abstract: What is disclosed is a holster or pocket in a garment that is supported by a boning material. The garment is typically a waistband, girdle or corset made of elastic, spandex, nylon, polyester, cotton, Lycra, lace, stretchable or compression material. It is a garment that can be worn anywhere on one's torso, including extremities and can include the thighs, derriere and abdomen up to the arms and shoulders and include the front of the chest. The boning material resides between the outside area of the holster or pocket to provide the support necessary to keep the garment or holster material from sagging.

Abstract: A fabric having resilient prominences on at least one surface is described for improved thermal protection, drag reduction and quick drying. Resilient prominences are bulges that extend outward from a fabric surface and trap some volume of air or other material therein. For example, a resilient prominence may be dome shaped and extend outward from the fabric plane. A resilient prominence is resilient in shape, whereby the resilient prominence may be compressed and then popped back into substantially the original shape. Reflective and/or absorptive materials may be configured on the surface of the fabric to provide camouflage from IR cameras. Reflective material may be configured on the fabric to reflect heat back to the wearer of a garment made with the fabric described.

Abstract: A hair extension and, more particularly, to a hair extension and method to protect a wearers existing hair from tension damage. The hair extension includes at least one weft and a flexible comb attached along a lateral length of the weft.

Abstract: Provided is a form-fitting, eyewear retaining head covering made of an elastic material that snuggly fits the contour of a wearer's head. On each side of the head covering is a retention slot designed to receive the arm of a pair of eyeglass frames. The slots are disposed along the lower edge of the head covering and in horizontal alignment therewith. The slots may be reinforced with a high friction material in order to “grip” the eyeglass frames and reduce slippage. The normal seat and positioning of the head covering is not adjusted by eyewear and the eyewear is disposed in its natural position. The slots are relatively close to one another to minimize the propensity of the hat lower edge to fold backward in high winds, whereby the lower edge of the head covering is stretched to accommodate the arms of the glasses.

Abstract: Helmet systems and their methods of use are described. In one embodiment, an opaque, ballistic rated visor is attached to a helmet such that the visor covers a wearer's eyes.

Abstract: Disclosed is a boot system having an outer boot including a securing system and a superior end that includes a cuff; an inner boot sized to fit between the outer boot and a foot area of a user inserted in the boot system; and a harness system having a flexible panel and a lace slidably engaged with the panel. The inner boot includes a tension capture element coupled adjacent to a superior end of the inner boot. The harness system is removably secured to the outer boot.

Abstract: A slip on and adjustable protective boot covering to be worn over a driver's right shoe while driving a vehicle. The protective boot can accommodate flat soled or high heeled shoes. When wearing a flat soled shoe, the heel portion of the protective covering has a rounded heel cup to accommodate the pivot motion of a driver's heel while driving. When wearing a high heeled shoe, an opening at bottom of the heel portion can be folded back to expose an opening to accommodate a high heeled shoe.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to footwear, including at least shoes and boots. The footwear includes a single unit integrated adjustable sole. Additionally, the present disclosure is directed to methods of manufacture of such footwear. The footwear includes a variable sole length. The integrated sole includes a single unit adjustable sub-assembly, a front sole, and a rear sole. The adjustable sub-assembly includes a front portion, a rear portion, and multiple mid sidewall portions that are longitudinally positioned between the front portion and the rear portion. The integrated sole includes a sole sidewall that is formed by at least the mid sidewalls and sidewalls of the front and rear soles. The adjustable sub-assembly is longitudinally positioned between and coupled to each of the front and rear soles. The sole length is varied by varying the adjustable sub-assembly length. A footwear upper is coupled to the integrated sole to form the adjustable footwear.

Abstract: A sole structure is provided having a stability structure. The stability structure may be located primarily in the midfoot area of the sole structure, but may extend into both the forefoot and heel regions. The stability structure may provide support along the longitudinal length of the foot so as to limit non-axial, vertical flexion. The stability structure may have various stability members that may curve in a unidirectional manner to provide targeted support to the foot of the wearer.

Abstract: A method is provided for injection moulding a footwear product having a non-metallic insole integrally formed between a sole and upper of the product. A sole cavity formed between a sole plate and cover plate tightly closed together is injected to form a sole, wherein the cover plate is configured to establish an insole sole cavity directly above and adjacent to the sole cavity, the insole cavity configured to receive and hold a non-metallic insole over the sole. The cover plate is removed to expose the sole and the insole cavity there over. A non-metallic insole is inserted in the insole cavity whereby the non-metallic insole is held over the sole by the insole cavity.

In some embodiments, a user may generate and/or modify footwear designs using a footwear design interface. Abstract: Implementations of adornments for ornamenting boots or other footwear are provided. In some implementations, the adornment comprise stretch cords, a center ornament, and a connector wherein one or more stretch cords form a first loop around the ankle portion of the boot from one side of the center ornament to the other side of the center ornament. In some implementations, one or more stretch cords of the first loop that extend from opposite sides of the center ornament meets at the connector positioned opposite the center ornament. In some implementations, the adornment further includes one or more stretch cords forming a semi-loop extending from a bottom side of the center ornament, under the boot, and to the connector on the other side of the boot.

Abstract: A sole structure including a cleat assembly is disclosed. The cleat assembly includes a covering member, an actuating assembly and a cleat sub-assembly. The cleat sub-assembly includes a cleat member that can extend in length under a force applied by a foot. The actuating assembly directs force applied by a foot at the covering member to the cleat member so that the cleat can extend and penetrate further into a ground surface. The actuating assembly can include a pivot plate that pivots about an angled portion of the cleat sub-assembly.

Abstract: A tie locking device includes a main body and a rotatable press cover. The main body includes a fixing section and at least one wall connected with the fixing section. The press cover has a pivoted end pivotally connected with a pivoted section of the main body. The pivoted end of the press cover and the pivoted section of the main body together define an inlet for a tie to enter the main body. A valve board is disposed on the main body and movable within the main body between a first position distal from the inlet and a second position proximal to the inlet. The valve board is formed with a toothed section. After the valve board is moved to the second position, the toothed section bites the tie and the press cover is pressed onto the main body to fix the valve board and the tie.

Abstract: Stringers without fastener tape have continuous fastener elements and have element fixing members wherein the fastener elements are sewn together by a sewing thread. The element fixing members are inserted between upper and lower leg sections of the fastener elements. The sewing thread comes in contact with and straddles the upper and lower leg sections of each fastener element and pierces the element fixing members between the fastener elements. As a result of such stringers without fastener tape, the fastener elements can be held and the weight and cost of an article with a slide fastener can be reduced.

The opening and closing umbrella drive mechanism includes a lead screw connected to the power source and an ejector sleeve driven by the lead screw. The middle bar set includes a middle pipe and an outer pipe. The ejector sleeve passes through the middle pipe and is connected to the outer pipe. Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to substantially cuboid-shaped wheeled luggage having a U-shaped handle telescoping from two parallel secondary faces, the U-shaped handle framing two parallel primary faces each providing substantially full-face opening to one of two complementary dynamically-separated volumes of a central cavity. In an illustrative embodiment, an interior partitioning member may adaptively partition the central cavity in response to forces present to each of two sides of the interior portioning member. In some embodiments, two wheels may have axes parallel to a rolling edge defined by an intersection of a tertiary face and one of the primary faces, the wheels providing low rolling resistance when the luggage is tilted so as to rest upon the wheels. The luggage may advantageously provide separated dynamic complementary volumes for both clean clothes and dirty clothes.

Abstract: A one-piece co-formed exterior hard shell case with an elastomeric liner formed on the interior of the exterior hard shell for mobile electronic devices. This hard protective exterior shell allows the device maximum protection from impacts with sharp objects while the interior elastomeric portion that provides shock protection for the device from impacts. The exterior hard shell part is formed to fit the device closely with a small offset from the devices surface. The exterior hard shell raps around the edges of the device. To allow the shell to be able to be mounted on the device the corners of the hard shell are cut open. This allows each sidewall to flex away when a device is inserted and snap back once it is in place. The elastomeric material fills in the gaps created at the comers of the exterior hard shell to allow flex for mounting.

The acoustic isolation mechanism may be a compressible component that may provide an acoustic seal between an inner surface of the removable case and an exterior surface of the electronic device, and may include a waterproof acoustic membrane. The waterproof membrane prevents the entry of water while reacting to sound pressure changes to acoustically couple the electronic device with sounds outside the case. Abstract: A heating system comprising a pouch, into which one or more single-use packettes are placed for heating. Abstract: The present invention relates to three stick product containers. One has a removable top cap with a crown and a hollow base, such that the top cap can be removed and inserted into the hollow base. The top cap has associated with it a thumb lever push ring to prevent the stick from rolling when laid horizontal. The other container is more suitable, for example, for a lip balm that has a top cap with a living hinge that can be flipped all the way back, inserted into a plug insert hole in the base of the cap, and then the cap is used to support the container in an at rest position to prevent it from rolling.
