Abstract: The present invention is a light-weight, single handle post hole digger. The single handle of the post hole digger is generally comprised of an outer elongated vertical handle and an inner elongated vertical shaft located substantially within the outer handle. The post hole digger of the present invention has two blade members used to cut into the ground and to loosen soil when in an open configuration and then used to capture and remove soil when in a closed configuration. In some embodiments, a first stationary blade member is permanently attached to the inner elongated vertical shaft by an adjustable pin or bolt and a second movable blade member is connected to the outer elongated handle via a connection rod.

A programmable control panel controls the motor and can have a display screen, speaker and programming members, or the control panel can be controlled by remote control. Power can be from at least one from the group of replaceable battery, rechargeable battery, solar or electricity, power the control panel and motor. A deflection tab extends into the dispensing tube, spaced from the auger, to prevent the accumulation food on the auger.

Abstract: A method of and system for localizing, and displaying positions of, one or more autonomously mobile objects within plural physically delimited areas, having physical boundaries, in an animal housing. The method includes: determining a position of at least one of the objects within the animal housing; displaying the position of the at least one object on a map of the animal housing on a visual display device; validating the determined position before displaying the position. The validating includes: correcting the determined position into a corrected position within the physically delimited area, and providing the corrected position as the position to be displayed, otherwise providing the determined position as the position to be displayed. The correction may be dependent on object, type and/or status. Providing corrected positions allows a more efficient and reliable management of the animal housing.

Abstract: An animal control system includes the capability of determining on which side of a containment structure the animal is located. Specifically, the system determines a polarity of a first half-cycle of an active portion of the signal transmitted on the enclosure wire. The determined polarity identifies if the animal is within or outside the enclosure.

Abstract: A multidirectional play and exercise apparatus for animals is provided having a flexible pole, a sleeve encasing the pole, an attachment member coupled with or formed as part of the sleeve, and a base. The sleeve may be secured around the pole and be contiguous with the attachment member. The attachment member may be configured to receive a toy, or other item that encourages an animal to engage in play and/or exercise. The base allows the apparatus to freely rotate therein, thereby facilitating multidirectional play. The pole is flexible and bends when pulled on by the animal, thereby pulling back on the animial.

Abstract: The poultry feeder of the present invention relates to a device that will be used to store food and be a component of food dispenser mainly for birds that are found in floor or in a cage, that need to be feeding continuously, efficiently distributed, hygienic and safe, mainly during their initiation period, which extends from the first day of age until the age of twenty-one days, but can be used in adult birds or other avian species and for longer time. To solve this need, a poultry feeder is provided which comprises: a bifurcated clamp (100), a bifurcated holding nozzle (200), a shutter (300), a hopper (400) and food receiving plate (500) of a rectangular shape with rounded ends.

Abstract: The sex of embryos in eggs is influenced or controlled through the application of light having selected wavelengths in order to promote the development of embryos of a selected sex. An incubating device is provided having an interior cavity that can be sealed from an outside, and having a plurality of lighting elements disposed on each of a plurality of trays disposed in the interior cavity. Eggs are disposed on the trays, and pre-determined environmental conditions are applied to the interior cavity to promote hatching of the eggs. Concurrently with the application of the environmental conditions, the eggs are irradiated according to pre-determined lighting conditions. The lighting conditions include applying light having wavelengths substantially concentrated in selected ranges, such as light wavelengths within the 390-419 nm, 410-450 nm, 420-450 nm, 450-495 nm, or other narrow range.
