Abstract: A novel safety pin apparatus which combines a safety pin member, which can be used to pierce a fabric or a clothing item, without doing substantial damage, along with a safety pin cap, which protects the user from being stuck or stabbed by a safety pin member on the safety pin apparatus, once the safety pin apparatus has been properly located and the pin protecting device has been installed. The novel safety pin apparatus is used to hold together a shirt or blouse, hold an item such as a boutonniere to a suit coat, or merely for decorative purposes, among other uses.

Abstract: A laminate for a hook-and-loop fastener is made by supplying a film as a substrate and supplying a textile web that has a base structure knitted from threads and has loop threads incorporated into the base structure by knitting. The loop threads form loops provided for attachment to hook-and-loop hooks and formed from a textured multifilament yarn. The substrate and the textile web are bonded together to form a material web by an adhesive arrayed in a pattern of adhesive surfaces and adhesive-free regions. Individual pieces of the laminate are then separated from the material web.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing and monetizing a memorial badge having a permanent mourning band and thin blue line that symbolize solidarity and remembrance of a fallen government official, such as a police officer. The memorial badge includes a display surface having an insignia, mourning band, and thin blue line. The memorial badge further includes a mounting surface with a fastening mechanism that enables attachment of the mourning badge to a uniform, such that the insignia, mourning band, and thin blue line display prominently while the memorial badge is adorned. The method manufactures the mourning band by cutting and shaping the badge material; stamping the insignia, mourning band, and thin blue line into the badge; and finally coloring the insignia, mourning band, and thin blue line their respective colors. The memorial bar is sold after manufacture, with sales proceeds going to family and causes of the fallen government official.

Abstract: An openable jewellery item arranged to be worn about a portion of a body of a person comprises two arcuate sections pivotally interconnected at one end for permitting pivotal movement of the sections between opened and closed positions, a locking surface disposed on each arcuate section at a second end, each locking surface cooperating with the facing locking surface of the other arcuate section for releasably retaining the arcuate sections in a closed position; the two locking surfaces each having oppositely facing hook contours; one locking surface has a weakened length to provide springiness. A pivotal section connects between the two arcuate sections to tension the sections towards the opened position, and in variations to tension the hooks to engage. A release is pressed to disengage the hooks. A variation has catches at both sides to allow complete separation of the sections.

Abstract: A coupling and clasp system includes: a first clasp portion; a second clasp portion configured for releasable engagement with the first clasp portion; and multiple bands, each band including a first end having a first band coupling dimensioned to be releasably retained by the first clasp portion and a second end having a second band coupling dimensioned to be releasably retained by the second clasp portion. The first clasp portion, second clasp portion, and multiple bands form a closed-loop wearable item when: the first band coupling of each band is retained by the first clasp portion; the second band coupling of each band is retained by the second clasp portion; and the second clasp portion is engaged with the first clasp portion. The multiple bands, configured to be selectively arranged by a user, vary by color, material, texture and mounted items.

Abstract: A bracelet clasp including three strips, and a cover hinged to one of the strips. The clasp is provided with first and second push-pieces and with a safety device preventing lateral movement of the cover causing the clasp to unlock when pressure is simultaneously exerted on the push-pieces. The safety device includes a spacer being received between the cover flaps, the ends of the spacer abutting against the cover flaps so as to prevent lateral movement of the cover causing the clasp to unlock when pressure is simultaneously exerted both on a push-piece and on a flap of the cover opposite the push-piece.

Abstract: A dermal anchor system for body jewelry is disclosed. The system allows for improved installation and removal of dermal anchor body jewelry by allowing for application of an external force to counteract tightening and loosening forces related to the jewelry. The system includes a hand tool that interacts with an engineered receiving post of a dermal anchor base. The hand tool allows for installation and/or removal of decorative top ends to the receiving post while preventing movement of the dermal anchor base. Torque is externally controlled without disturbing body tissues surrounding the dermal anchor base.

Abstract: A mounting holds a grooved gemstone invisibly to a setting. One end of the mounting has arms or extensions, reinforced by struts, to receive the gemstone and protrusions extending inwardly from the arms to fit in the grooves of the gemstone, the mounting further comprising a retainer which is inserted into the setting, and then twisted to retain the mounting in place and may lever the arms to press harder into the groove. The mounting is adjustable. The retainer may be cylindrical, with a lengthwise split to make the deformation easier. As an alternative, the insertion may comprise planar members which are likewise inserted and then distorted. The mounting may have two or more gemstone compartments. Multiple coronets may be fitted on a molded base with reinforcements between the coronets.

The dual function bag includes a housing formed from a front side and a back side connected by a ventilation strip and a base strip. The bag further includes a first and a second attachment that extends from its respective side. The first and second attachments are coupled at a connection point to form a receiving space adjacent to the ventilation strip. The receiving space is adapted to receive one or more articles. A carrying strap is coupled to the connection point, and the connection point is adapted to cinch the one or more articles in the receiving space when tension is applied to the carrying strap.

Abstract: The invention relates to a collapsible luggage bag that improves maneuverability of the bag when a user is towing the bag and collapses to a reduced size to improve portability. In particular, the invention relates to a handle that is slideably interconnected to one or more stays such that the upper ends of the stays change position along the length of the handle as the handle retracts into the luggage. Further, the handle disconnects from one or more of the stays such that the handle, stays, and other frame components collapse and lie in a common plane. This collapsibility improves the portability of the luggage bag when the internal volume of the luggage bag is not used to store items.

The increased elasticity may allow the case to be configured to frictionally engage and retain various portable electronic devices with slightly different physical dimensions.

The container is light and may be repaired on-site and thereby remain durable and replacement of at least one side panel enables rapid repair of the container when damaged through collision with fixtures in the vicinity of use. The container may be used on a vehicle during a journey to dispense goods for example on an aircraft, bus or a train.
