Abstract: An orthotic device for insertion into footwear for correcting over pronation or supination of a foot is disclosed herein. The orthotic device may include an insole comprising an upper surface and a lower surface. The upper surface of the insole may receive and support at least a portion of the foot. The orthotic device also may include a removable angle insert attachable to the lower surface of the insole. The removable angle insert may increase an angle about a side of the insole to correct over pronation or supination of the foot.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a novel shoe sole including a specific layered sheet, an insole of a shoe, an out sole of a shoe, and a shoe including the shoe sole. The object can be fulfilled by a shoe sole formed of a layered sheet of a plurality of cloths wherein; the cloths formed of a strand of an oriented thermoplastic resin; and the plurality of cloths are integrated by heating and compressing.

Protruding members of the protruding member assembly can translate through holes in the sole member to facilitate tactile sensation. Some embodiments can include an inner member that is configured to accommodate the movement of a protruding member. Other embodiments can include a plurality of recessed portions or nub portions formed along an outwardly facing surface of the sole member.

Abstract: An article of footwear having an upper comprising leno woven fabric. The leno woven fabric may be a single layer leno woven fabric. The leno woven fabric may have a pattern to provide desired characteristics, such as but not limited to, ventilation, thermal conductivity, stretchability, strength, moisture wicking, and/or antimicrobial protection. The pattern may be non-uniform to provide varying degrees of one or more of these characteristics. Methods for manufacturing an article of footwear including an upper comprising leno woven fabric are also provided.

Abstract: A spacer textile material has at least a portion of a tensile strand located between a first layer and a second layer of the spacer textile material where the first layer and second layer have been joined together to form channels in which the tensile strand moves freely. The tensile strand travels through the spacer textile material in a non-linear direction. Further, the channels may be formed in the spacer textile material in non-linear directions. The spacer textile material with a tensile strand may be incorporated into an article of footwear.

One end of each of the tubes is preferably tapered.

Abstract: A modular and customizable tie bar system comprises a tie bar base, one or more tie bar covers, and a fastener. The tie bar base cooperates with a user's tie and comprises at least a mounting surface. Each tie bar cover comprises a cover plate and optional side walls. Each tie bar cover is preferably sized to cover and cooperate with the mounting surface of the tie bar base, has a decorative outer surface, and has an inner surface for facilitating attachment to the base. To facilitate removable attachment of the covers to the base, one or more fasteners such as magnets attach to the inner surface of the cover or to mounting surface of the base or to both. Preferably, several covers with differing decorative outer surfaces cooperate with a single base to allow for interchangeability and customization depending on the user's aesthetic preferences.

The first material includes two first C-shaped distal halves, and two second C-shaped proximate halves, and each of the halves arranged together to form a vertically bisected O-shape with a top portion removed defining a first arcuate void portion and a bottom portion removed defining a second arcuate void portion. The ring also includes a second material created to fit inside each of the two first and two second C-shaped halves of the first material to form a substantially circular shape defining an inner diameter for a given ring size. The second material includes at least one stress relief point and at least one size bar formed therewith. The second material is created to fit inside the first material using one or more of casting, co-casting, machining, forging, and stamping.

Abstract: A GPS enabled walking stick that includes: a staff; a handle at the top end of the staff; GPS technology integrated into the staff; and directional sensors integrated into the staff. In one embodiment, the GPS enabled walking stick includes Bluetooth communication and may be paired with a Smartphone. Alternatively, the GPS enable walking stick may autonomously provide directional navigation.

Abstract: A sunshade includes a support frame and a canopy connected to the support frame and including a light-transmissible fabric sheet of undyed yarns that has opposite inner and outer surfaces, an ink layer formed on one of the inner and outer surfaces of the light-transmissible fabric sheet using dye-sublimation printing techniques, and an opaque enamel coating coated on the other of the inner and outer surfaces of the light-transmissible fabric sheet The undyed yarns are woven and cross one another to form fabric pores thereamong. The opaque enamel coating fills the fabric pores. A method of preparing a canopy is disclosed.

The body of the device is configurable to a circular configuration wherein it is adapted to engage an eyeglass case or for a positioning as support for a mirror at multiple angles above a support surface for a user to employ for contact lens insertion or removal from their eyes. A fluid container is engageable within a pocket of the body with a cap end of the container extending from the perimeter to allow for dispensing of eye drops therefrom without removal of the container from the pocket.

The heat dissipating container includes a hollow column, two closing caps covered on two ends of the hollow column, a gasket defined between each end of the hollow column and each closing cap. The cooling material is any one of frozen liquid, water, powders, metal blocks, ceramic blocks, and stones.

Abstract: This invention relates to a hair styling device, and in particular a hair waving device. The device has a chamber for containing the length of hair, and a first forming member and a second forming member within the chamber, a first hair-receiving region between the first forming member and the second forming member. A first driving member can move relative to the first forming member between an inoperative position outside the first hair-receiving region and an operative position within the first hair-receiving region. The first driving member drives a portion of the length of hair into the first hair-receiving region to form a first wave in the length of hair. The device can comprise multiple forming members and multiple driving members to produce multiple waves.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to a hair band for keeping hair out of the face of the wearer, comprising a band having two surfaces, an inner surface that contacts the head and hair of an individual, which is formed to fit the head over the hair in a vertical orientation, and an outer surface that face away from the head, wherein the band has a multitude of magnets distributed along the length of the band, or wherein the band has an opening through the inner and outer surfaces that runs the majority of the length of the band. In one embodiment, the opening has a soft plastic or silicon strip inserted therein, wherein the strip has a series of openings or holes formed down its length or the opening has a lattice formed within the opening of the band, wherein the lattice is created by a series of crisscrossing strings or strands, and the holes formed by the lattice allow for one or more tabs to be inserted therein to allow fashion accessories that have tabs to be attached to the hair band.

The body has an internal surface which defines an airflow duct which extends from an air inlet end for receiving an airflow to a slot-shaped air outlet end of the body. The internal surface has opposing first surface sections which taper inwardly towards the air outlet end, and opposing second surface sections which taper outwardly towards the air outlet end. The airflow guiding member guides a first portion of a received airflow towards one of the second surface sections, and a second portion of the received airflow towards the other of the second surface sections.

Abstract: This invention is directed toward a compact, multifunctional tool and a method of making the compact, multifunctional tool. The embodiments disclosed include a comb and a variety of additional tools including a screwdriver, a wrench, a chip clip, a bottle opener, a retention device for storing headbands, elastics, ear buds, and the like, and a stand for propping up a mobile phone, tablet, book, magazine, and the like. The compact, multifunctional tool is preferably made of a monolithic, substantially flat body having cutouts or contours. The overall size of the compact, multifunctional tool, in a preferred embodiment, is less than the size of a standard credit card. This small size allows users to easily transport the tool in their wallet or pocket. By combining so many tools, each performing a different task, into a monolithic flat, compact body, this invention allows users to carry one small device that enables them to perform a wide variety of functions.

Abstract: Illustrative applicators include a roller controllably coupled to a reservoir by a wicking agent such as a felt applicator insert. A cap for the applicator is also provided. The action of the cap being placed over the roller brings the roller into contact with the wicking agent, applying product contained in the reservoir to the roller. Removing the cap causes the roller to move out of contact with the wicking agent, allowing a quantity of product applied to the roller while the cap is on the applicator to be used.

Abstract: Applicators for use in retrieving product (generally a liquid) from a reservoir, with an applicator for entry to the reservoir coupled to a cap. The cap is configured to be selectively actuated by including a squeezable element. Unlike “bulb” based devices having a cap in the common form of a bulb, a more modern look is created with a cylindrical or other cap shape. The cylindrical cap in one example has generally rigid sides with a squeezable or depressible element having an accordion-type design. The accordion-type design may be hidden from a user. In another example the cylindrical cap has a rigid top surface and is squeezable from its sides. In yet another example, the cylindrical cap is flexible on its sides and top, but does not have the commonly known bulb-shape. The applicator may be, for example, a diptube, a doefoot applicator, a sponge, a plastic, a brush, or any other suitable applicator for cosmetics.

Abstract: An applicator for a stick product, such as lip balm, has a generally tubular housing closed at one end by an elastomeric base cap and at the other by an end cap. The base cap is connected to one end of a plunger shaft, and at the other end the shaft is connected to a tray holding a semi-solid mass of the stick product. The end cap is in the form of a mold so that the stick product may be molded onto the tray in situ. The end cap locks to the housing to cover the semi-solid mass, and when removed the base cap (e. g. durometer 70 A), which is bistable, having two relaxed configurations, may be depressed to move the mass out of the housing. The plunger and stick product are easily replaced.

Abstract: Decorative wiper having a first end and a second end. The first end, which is adapted to be placed at the opening or upper end of a cosmetic bottle, has an opening with a decorative design. The second end, which is adapted to sit farther within the cosmetic bottle, has a narrowed opening in a manner typical of cosmetic wipers to a generally circular profile. Between the first end and the second end is a lumen or passage through which the cosmetic applicator may pass. The second end serves to wipe away excess product, in a manner similar to conventional wipers. The first end provides an aesthetically pleasing, or brand-defining useful, design. Between the two ends the interior walls of the wiper define the lumen or passage by tapering outward from the first end wiper to the second end. Combinations of such wipers with cosmetic bottles, caps, applicators and products are disclosed as well.
