Abstract: The current subject matter relates to controlling insects and includes a trap that can vary operation based at least on a target insect. For example, different insects are attracted to and/or repelled by different things, such as gases, orders, lights, and sounds. In general, things that attract a given insect are referred to as attractants and things that repel a given insect are referred to as repellents. By varying the operation of the trap, different attractants and repellants can be used to attract and/or repel specific insects. In addition, these attractants and repellants and/or characteristics thereof can these be varied dynamically based on, for example, time of day, proximity of individuals to the trap, proximity of insects to the trap, geographic location, and the like. Related apparatus, system, articles, and techniques are also described.

Abstract: The present invention is a natural method to kill insects and ticks on animals and humans. It is non-toxic under general use to the applicator and the treated animal. When used as directed, the current invention will come in contact with and kill small insects and ticks that would otherwise go unnoticed. The present invention is unique because of the presence of dried ground mint which repels aphids, white flies, and others; dried ground oregano which repels most insects; food grade silicon dioxide which adheres to insect and tick exoskeletons as they crawl through it, dehydrating their exoskeletons, which kills them mechanically instead of chemically. Current products are applied to the top of the fur or clothing. Tick nymphs crawl on animals and humans unnoticed under the fur, hair or clothing. The invention can be applied to pastures, pet living/sleeping areas, and hunting stands through a dust applicator or shaker.

Abstract: To slice meat loafs (100) with cross sections that vary across their longitudinal extension into accurately weighted slices (101), it is known to bring the loaf (100) into a defined shape with a uniform cross section across its length inside a forming tube (2) by means of pressing before it is sliced. According to the invention, the pressing is performed in the longitudinal direction (L, 10) and the transversal direction (Q, 11) in a predefined order and in particular in multiple pressing steps (+Q, +L), which also comprise relieving strokes (?Q, ?L) for the purpose of reducing the force exertion for pressing, on the one hand, and, on the other, for keeping the tissue structure of the loaf (100) intact.

Abstract: The object of the present invention is to provide an emulsion composition that maintains emulsion stability even after high temperature process such as sterilization (heat resistance), shows a small change in particle size distribution between before and after heating, and maintains emulsion stability even under conditions where transformation of an oil phase component (for example, solidification or crystallization of the oil phase component due to temperature drop, or melting of the oil phase component due to temperature rise) occurs (temperature drop resistance), wherein the composition is easily handled during the production process. The object is solved by an oil-in-water emulsion composition containing solid particles, a predefined surfactant, an oil phase component, and an aqueous phase component, wherein the oil phase component includes a predefined oil component and the solid particles are distributed along the interface between the oil phase component and the aqueous phase component.
