Abstract: The present disclosure describes a system, method, and non-transitory computer readable medium for analyzing soil samples. Accordingly, soil sample units may be obtained and provided to a server that generates raw data. Tho raw data is sent to a database, where it is downloaded. The raw data is subsequently organized into a sub-report for each nutrient or variable contained in the raw data. An average for each nutrient in the raw data and a number of additional factors related to the raw data may be calculated. The average and additional factors are used to determine bulk recommendations by comparing target data to an exchangeable measured value. Additionally, the factors are also used to determine challenges and solutions by comparing the average data to the target data for each nutrient. The system compares the raw data to the measured values and mathematically adjusts the compared values to compute an optimal treatment algorithm.

Abstract: A tree net assembly includes a pole that is vertically oriented and is positioned adjacent to a plant. A pair of globes is each of the globes slidably positioned around the pole, and each of the globes has a plurality of wells each extending toward a center of a respective one of the globes. A plurality of rods is provided and each of the rods is comprised of a resiliently bendable material. Each of the rods is removably coupled between the globes when the globes are positioned on the pole. Moreover, the globes are spaced apart from each other a distance that is less than a length of the rods. Thus, the rods curve outwardly from the pole when the rods are coupled between the globes thereby facilitating the plurality of rods to define a sphere surrounding the plant. A net is positionable around the rods when the rods are positioned in the globes having the net surrounding the plant. In this way the net inhibits animal pests from accessing the plant.

Abstract: The process for producing mycelium biomaterial provides fresh oxygen to the growing mycelium biomaterial while removing waste heat and waste carbon dioxide by forced aeration through large volumes of material. In a first phase of fungal expansion, humidified air at a programmed temperature is passed upwardly and through a fungal inoculated substrate of discrete particles to allow the fungal inoculum to expand and dominate the substrate. Nutrient is added to the inoculated mixture and a second phase of fungal expansion is performed wherein humidified air at a programmed temperature is passed upwardly and through the nutrient enriched fungal inoculated substrate to allow the fungal inoculum to bond the discrete particles into a self-supporting biocomposite. The process and apparatus of the invention allows for the processing of grown materials bound by mycelium at depths of greater than 6? and particularly in the range of from 24? to 28?.

Abstract: Provided are methods for growing a plant under certain stressed conditions that alter the morphology of the plant. In certain aspects, however, although the plant is altered and may be undesirable for commercial purposed, the plant still produces an adequate number of seeds for breeding purposes. Further, because plants may be smaller in size, they can be grown at higher densities, allowing the production of large populations of plants to be brought under controlled conditions which can exclude pollinating insects and thus increase the genetic purity achievable in a breeding program.

Abstract: An apparatus for treating water in soil-less growing systems has a container having a cross-sectional area and a height, with a first access port for liquid at an upper end, and a second access port for liquid at a lower end, and a porous matrix filling the container, the matrix comprising a hydrophilic polymer mixed with rocks and natural minerals. Water drawn from a soil-less growing system, is urged into the container through one of the liquid access ports, causes the water to flow through the matrix in the container, the water in contact with the rocks and natural minerals in the matrix, leaching elements from the matrix, and causes the water to exit the container at the other of the liquid access ports, to flow back to the soil-less growing system.
