Abstract: An autonomous cooling vest to cool its user by evaporating a coolant in contact with the user's skin surface is described. Multifunctional panels attached to the vest in the parts corresponding to the human body are permeable to ambient air and contain a liquid retaining screen kept in contact with the user's skin. The cooling support system automatically controls the transfer of the coolant liquid contained in a reservoir to each screen and allows the user to adjust the operation of the system to activate and deactivate the ventilation on the liquid retained in the screens and adjust the amount of liquid dispersed over the screens as needed. The flow of air ventilated by the fans and the air that permeates through the referred multifunctional panels favor the evaporation of the liquid retained in the screens, promoting the user's cooling.

Abstract: A removal and re-application board for hair extensions and process of using same. The board contains at least 3 serially spaced apart lines (linear or curvilinear), vertically or radially spaced apart. Hair extension bands are mounted on, above or below the lines. Board indicia conveys sequential band removal and board placement, and then band board-dismount and re-application sequential order data to re-apply the hair bands on a user's head. When the bands are on-board, the bands from a columnar matrix; therefore the serially spaced apart lines provide board-mounting and board dismounting data to the stylist (board-mounting is hair band removal; board dismounting is band re-application). The indicia and the serially spaced apart lines allow for hair bands to be easily stored (board-mounted) and organized, such that the hair bands can be reliably re-applied to substantially the same location on a user's head.

Abstract: A lanyard with attachment members such as a tool holding member, tether key, or carabiner, is provided. The lanyard includes one or more elastic cords within a sheath. The sheath has a much lower elasticity than the elastic cord. The higher spring constant or modulus of elasticity of the sheath limits the total extended length of the lanyard in operation. The elastic cords stretch to absorb the energy of falling equipment up to the length of the outer sheath. The attachment members may be attached to the sheath or may include components of the sheath and or the elastic cord. The lanyard allows for an elastic response to absorb the energy of a falling tool and a restraint to the total extended length of the lanyard.

Abstract: A personal care device, such as an electric toothbrush, has a handle having a longitudinal axis and a treatment head connected to a carrier. The carrier extends within the handle and is mounted at the handle for pivoting motion around a pivot axis against a restoring spring force. A drive unit, such as a linear actuator, is mounted on the carrier, and at least one electrical connector is arranged between the handle and the carrier to convey electrical energy from an energy source fixedly mounted with respect to the handle to the drive unit. The electrical connector can be realized as an elastic metal sheet element having a spring constant for providing at least a part of the restoring spring force.
