Abstract: A grouser-cage attachment for equipment is an apparatus that imprints troughs into the soil, specifically troughs oriented perpendicular to a slope to hinder rainfall from running straight down the slope. The apparatus includes a main frame, a roller, and a grouser cage. The main frame connects the roller with a piece of equipment or large machinery such as a skid steer. The roller presses the grouser cage into the soil. The grouser cage further includes a cylindrical frame, a plurality of holes, and a plurality of cleats. The cylindrical frame supports and positions the plurality of cleats around the roller. The cylindrical frame freely rotates around and with the roller. The plurality of holes and the plurality of cleats imprints troughs into the soil. The plurality of holes also provides a smooth and continuous rotation for the grouser cage. The roller presses the plurality of cleats into the soil.

Finally, a method of predicting key phenology dates of crops for individual field parcels, farms, or parts of a field parcel, in a growing season, can be established.

Abstract: Zero power wireless sensors, devices, and systems are used for crop water content monitoring. The sensors consume no power while monitoring for the presence of dry crop conditions. Infrared reflectance from plants is measured and when selected spectral conditions are met, a circuit is closed, activating an alarm, an RFID tag, or a radio transmitter. The deployed sensors consume no power while monitoring, reducing or eliminating the need to change batteries.

Abstract: A plant cultivation tray for a gravity-driven plant cultivation system includes: (a) a tray body; (b) a plurality of plant cavities in and open to a top of the tray body for holding plants; (c) a nutrient chamber internal the tray body and in fluid communication with the plant cavities for holding plant nutrient solution. The nutrient chamber is bounded from below by a nutrient chamber bottom wall lying in a horizontal plane. The tray body has at least one underside surface for engagement with a sloped gravity conveyor to rollingly support the plant cultivation tray thereon. The at least one underside surface slopes downwards relative to the horizontal plane from a rear to a front of the tray body for maintaining a generally constant depth of the plant nutrient solution across the nutrient chamber bottom wall when the tray is supported on the gravity conveyor.
