Feeding Or Delivering Patents (Class 101/11)
  • Patent number: 11053092
Abstract: A method for feeding laminar elements into an introducer associated with a graphic printing station provided for printing at least one of the faces of the laminar element, wherein a plurality of laminar elements are grouped in an orderly manner in a stacked group of laminar elements that extends upwards, such that the longitudinal axis of each of the laminar elements is located perpendicular with respect to an advance direction of the group, the advance direction of the group being perpendicular to the advance direction of the introducer. This group of laminar elements is turned 180 degrees with respect to a rotation axis that is parallel to the advance direction of the introducer, such that the upper face of each one of the laminar elements is oriented downwards, the turned laminar element advancing in a direction perpendicular to the advance direction of the introducer.

  • Patent number: 6606942
Abstract: The invention relates to a die stamping method and to a device for performing the method. The problem of the invention is to reduce the production of waste during die stamping. This is brought about in that on supplying the foil web to the stamping station a sensor means monitors whether there is a defect therein. If a defect is detected, the foil web supply to the stamping station is controlled in such a way that the defect is conveyed through the stamping station between two stamping operations. Thus, the defect does not arrive in the stamping or printing area of the stamping station, so that no waste is produced.

  • Publication number: 20020096063
Abstract: A hot-stamping foil tape cassette comprises a hot-stamping foil tape transferred by pressure application together with a value-added medium to the value-added medium and a windup reel for winding up the hot-stamping foil tape. The reel on which the hot-stamping foil tape is wound is stored in a cassette case. A shutter is included which at the time of hot-stamping transfer is in a protective position that protects the hot-stamping foil tape. The shutter at the time of hot-stamping transfer withdraws to a withdrawal position that does not interfere with action of the hot-stamping transfer. After hot-stamping, by the shutter, the hot-stamping foil tape can be peeled from the value-added medium. A foil-peeling mechanism for a hot-stamping device, a peeling method for a hot-stamping foil and a control method for a hot-stamping foil tape cassette are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 5727460
Abstract: A printing machine comprises a printing station at which two shells are adapted to enclose the object to be printed, the shells being subject to a drive mechanism which acts directly on one of them, whereas it acts on the other through the intermediary of at least two movement reverser columns. The machine further comprises a conveyor equipped with at least one object-carrier support and which is mobile in order to move the support between the shells of the printing station. The conveyor is a turntable rotating about one of the movement reverser columns. Applications include the printing of synthetic material bottles.

  • Patent number: 5671618
Abstract: A plate press for embossing or glazing, particularly for hides and the like, comprising a frame that supports a lower plate and an upper plate. An embossing plate for dressing the side of a hide is associable with one of the plates. The plate press comprises a film that is self-adapting, temperature-resistant, and can be interposed between the embossing plate and the hide to prevent the adhesion of the hide to the embossing plate.

  • Patent number: 4574694
Abstract: A stamping machine comprises at least one imprinting station of the gilding press type, wherein two shells mounted movably relative to one another are intended to mutually enclose at least the portion to be imprinted of the article to be imprinted, so as to apply to this latter a foil suitable for the impression desired. Both the shells are mounted movably relative to the machine frame in synchronism and opposed to one another, said shells being subject to the same control means which acts on one of them by way of transmission means suitable for reversal of movement. The machine is particularly applicable to the imprinting of articles with a neck, such as bottles.

  • Patent number: 4450765
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for applying permanent indicia, such as numbers representing calendar dates, on surface portions of plastic containers, such as containers for holding milk. The apparatus includes a heated die and an inked web mounted on a support plate in positions to cause the indicia-forming elements on the die to engage and force a portion of the web into intimate contact with a flat surface portion of a container. The die effectively brands the container and the ink on the web portion is transferred into the branded portion of the container to render the branded portion readily observable. The containers are moved incrementally past the die and web portion by a conveyor. A container holding device is mounted in a fixed location on the opposite side of the conveyor aligned with the die so that each container is held against lateral movement as the die forces the web portion into contact with the surface of the container to be branded.

  • Patent number: 4343237
Abstract: Cable harnesses are manufactured with a so-called cable head arranged on a able laying carriage. The cable head is controlled by an electronic data processor and continuously lays a cable running off a coil or spool, about pins on a cable laying table or pallet. A plurality of such coils or spools are mounted in a cable magazine arranged for cooperation with said cable laying table. Any one of the cables on the coils may be drawn into the cable head which is equipped with cable marking tools and with cable buffer tools. The cable being laid is marked and for this purpose it is "buffered" to such an extent, that a dwell time is obtained sufficient for the marking operation. The buffering takes place first to form a loop. The cable length stored in the loop is used up during the marking so as not to interrupt the feed advance of the cable during its marking.

  • Patent number: 4052935
Abstract: A device for printing a message at predetermined intervals along the backing of pressure sensitive adhesive tape. The device comprises a wheel, a peripheral segment of which contacts and supports the adhesive surface of a length of the tape. Raised arcuately disposed surface portions of a heated printing plate defining the message are moved into engagement with a dye impregnated web positioned against the backing of the length of tape supported on the wheel to sublime the dye and thereby print into the backing of the tape. Between printing operations the wheel is rotated to advance the tape along a path so that a new section of the tape is advanced to the wheel and the newly printed portion of the tape is peeled from the surface of the wheel and fed to a tape applying device.
