  • Patent number: 5445353
Abstract: This is a device for supporting an animal clamp (100) fixing a small laboratory animal in a specified position with respect to a testing apparatus (300). A base board (2) is fixed to the testing apparatus (300). An elevating board (4) is raised or lowered by jacks (31, 32) installed between it and base board (2), and a clamp mounting board (8) is tilted by jack (61) and sliding member (62) installed between it and elevating board (4).As a result, the height position and inclination angle of the animal clamp (100) mounted on the clamp mounting board (8) are determined, and they may be finely adjusted by properly manipulating the jacks (31, 32, 61). The animal clamp (100) does not slip off the clamp mounting board (8) because of the clamp slip preventive flange piece (7).

  • Patent number: 5408940
Abstract: Apparatus providing an adjustable height work surface. A work table is cantilevered from posts supported for vertical motion inside columns from a base. A drive connected between the work table and the base changes the height of the work table and is located between the columns and posts. Each post carries a rack that engages with a pinion supported by a column for rotation about a common axis. A rigid shaft interconnects two pinions and prevents relative pinion rotation. A stabilizing structure in each column interacts with the post to maintain engagement between the rack and pinion structure and maintains the work table in a horizontal position during adjustment and use.

  • Patent number: 5367963
Abstract: The table has two telescopable supports (4) each with a flange (22) at the upper end. To the flanges (22) there is screwed fast a tub (6). In the rear part of the tub (6) there is present a cable channel. The table plate (8) is horizontally shiftable on the tub, so that the cable channel is accessible. With an extensible crank (62) over a toothed-belt gear two threaded spindles are synchronously actuated in the supports (4) for the height adjustment. The table is rapidly resolvable into space-saving parts, without its being necessary for the height-adjusting mechanism to be disassembled. The table is convenient to operate.

  • Patent number: 5240215
Abstract: A universal computer support bracket adapted for use in a vehicle, particularly in a train. The bracket includes a channel to be mounted on a vertical surface. Slidably mounted in the channel is one end of a folding table support bracket. Pivotally mounted to the other end of the folding table support bracket is a folding table which may be pivoted between a substantially horizontal support position and a substantially vertical storage position. Mounted on the folding table is a pivot joint assembly on which is mounted a computer support table. The computer support table may thus be tilted to facilitate use of the computer. The invention is thus designed specifically to provide a reliable, sturdy and steady computer support bracket for use in a variety of situations, while recognizing and addressing important space considerations.

  • Patent number: 5197393
Abstract: A table wherein the elevation and tilt of the table top are adjustable under power assist by a single hydraulic cylinder. The table includes a substantially horizontal base and a substantially horizontal frame disposed above the base, with a plurality of adjustable-length support posts disposed between the base and the frame, one end of each support post being affixed to the base and the other end of each support post being affixed to the frame. Post lock pins on each of the plurality of support posts selectively lock each support post at a selected length. A table top disposed above and supported by the frame is attached to the frame by a hinge. A table lock selectively locks the table top to the frame to prevent tilting of the table about the hinge. Abstract: The elevation and angle of a desk top are independently adjustable with the exertion of a minimum of manual force, thereby facilitating the use of the desk by handicapped or disabled persons. The desk is provided with a torsion bar to substantially ease elevational adjustments and with a parallel lever arm construction which permits such adjustments without changing the angle of the desk top. The height and tilt angle of the desk top are each securely fixed by means of a pair of serrated, interlocking discs which are spring loaded to permit them to be easily locked or unlocked with only a few turns of an adjustment handle. In addition, frictional washers are utilized in conjunction with this spring loading to substantially maintain the position of the desk top even after the discs are unlocked, further facilitating angular and elevational adjustments by persons of impaired physical strength.
