  • Patent number: 7581709
Abstract: A system of interconnecting structural components for supporting and forming suspended concrete slabs that allow removal of form panels without disturbing the slab support posts (shores). Additional features of the system accommodate changes in suspended slab thickness, horizontal slab dimensions that are not multiples of the basic component dimensions, slab edge cantilevered form panels, attachment to walls and remote manipulation of form panels from the floor below using an erection staff. The primary system components are panels, support posts, telescopic beams, adjustable hanger connections, wall hangers, wall beams, raking shore assemblies and erection/stripping staffs. Form panels are directly supported by the shores without the use of an intermediate member (usually a beam) that is common practice in the concrete forming industry. The system reduces the number of required components that in turn reduces the capital cost to the user and improves his labor efficiency and quality of the concrete surface.

Abstract: An improved structure assembly-type table leg that in addition to facilitating shipping, affords exceptional sturdiness and greater attractiveness when assembled. To provide for freight forwarding convenience, a slot is articulated in a predetermined area along the end sections of frame members, a quantity of holes are arrayed in the same end sections, and an opening is formed in each of the two adjacent sides at the top end of the table leg members. The span of the opening is directly proportional to the width of the frame member, enabling the insertion of the frame member and the mortising of the slot within the opening such that the top ends of the frame members and the table leg members are even with each other when they are assembled. Abstract: The heat distribution plate provides controlled flare-up through a system of drop-in distribution plates having holes or slots to allow dripping fats to be ignited. Good heat uniformity across the entire grill is afforded, and the controlled flare-up provided by the holes are slots gives the food a barbecued rather than baked flavor. The distribution plates are held in position in the containment casting by engaging flanges on the casting. The flanges are arranged to minimize the air gap between adjacent edges of the plates.

  • Patent number: 5035186
Abstract: On a table (10), a support element (14, 15) is provided on the table leg (13) and below the tabletop (11). This support element is pivotable about the vertical axis of the table leg (13). When the support element (14, 15) is pivoted outward, it can serve as a support for a tabletop (21) and is formed accordingly. The tabletop (21) has an elongated engagement element (24) on its underside, which element upon connection positively engages the inside of a corresponding elongated recess (23) of the support element (14, 15). A table connection formed in this way is very stable, and makes it possible for the thus-formed table arrangement to be moved about practically like a rigid unit. Also, it is possible for a single person without additional help, using this connection device, to couple one table (10) to an adjacent tabletop (21).

Abstract: A system, including apparatus and methods, which facilitates the use of dutch ovens, usually combined with a charcoal heating source, in outdoor cooking. The first apparatus is a safe, independent, time-efficient device which quickly preheats charcoal briquettes contained in a portable hopper, accomplishing the same by means of a self-contained, transportable, propane-fueled burner. A second apparatus is a sturdy, portable cooking stand, which, in the "as used" position, provides a safe, elevated site whereupon the charcoal heating source and a plurality of dutch ovens can be conveniently placed for cooking purposes, and which, in the "as transported" position, is disassembled and may be carried facilely to more desired locations. The third apparatus is a T-handled dutch oven and dutch oven lid lifting device whereby said ovens and/or lids may be conveniently and safely removed from and replaced on the heating source.

  • Patent number: 4733704
Abstract: A workbench which includes a workpiece supporting panel carried by a trestle. A clamping device rigidly attaches a manually operated machine tool to an underside of the supporting panel. The machine tool may, for example, be a circular saw, a compass saw, or a router. The supporting panel is provided with at least one cutout for accommodating a portion of the tool of the machine tool such as, for example, a saw blade or a cutter. To simplify the mounting of the manually operated machine tool on the underside of the supporting panel, the supporting panel is adapted to be pivoted from an operative position into a mounting position through an angle of 180.degree. with a locking device being provided for both rotational positions. A slot insert of a chippable material can be provided in the cutout to avoid the danger that pieces of hard metal will fly off the blade if the blade shifts sideways while sawing.
