Lights emitted by the light-emitting bodies can illuminate through the transparent cover to provide lighting effect. Also, the lights emitted by the light-emitting bodies can pass through hollowed portions provided on the mounting seat, thereby projecting a pattern defined by the hollowed portions to the external environment, and hence enhancing the lighting effect as well as providing aesthetic effect. The pattern defined by the hollowed portions can be flexibly designed according to personal preference or practical need.

An anchor may have a generally tubular shape with a bore that receives the bottom end of a pole of an umbrella. The anchor may have a tip that penetrates the ground in response to application of linear force, and a flange that limits the depth of penetration of the anchor into the ground and adds stability. Alternatively, an anchor may have a flange positioned distally to lie underneath a deck or other man-made surface. An anchor may have a flange that is angled relative to the remainder of the anchor to facilitate placement of the umbrella at a angle relative to ground level. A cover may prevent entry of debris into the anchor bore. Modular tables or accessory trays may be attached around the pole of the umbrella.

The portable table assembly further comprises a shield assembly that can be releaseably attached to the table.

The upper tray member may include a plurality of interior compartments for receiving items such as vegetables and dips, condiments, etc. The upper tray member may also be releasably attached to the lower tray member. When joined in combination, the lower tray member can hold ice or other cooling means cool or chill the contents of the upper tray member. Closure members can also be provided to close the radial slots in each tray member to, in combination with the tray member, define the central aperture in which an umbrella pole or the like is received.
