Abstract: This utility type patent publishes a safety control device for petrol post hold digger. It includes an operation frame, respective handles in the opposite two sides of the frame; one is throttle control handle in the right side and another is balance control handle in the left side. The safety control device is mounted on the above of the frame near left side, connected with engine in the middle place of the operation frame by one cable, with the throttle control handle in the right side by another cable. A long touch rod is installed underneath the safety control device, sticking outside of the operation frame to position A as shown in bellow picture. When post hole digger is used, drill bit is driven into soul at clockwise direction. If the drill bit touches big roots or rocks and stops rotation in a sudden, all the inertia and torque from still running engine will be thrown to the operation frame, makes it turn to opposite anticlockwise direction.

Abstract: A negative rate shaping torque capsule is provided that effectively reduces torque rise of the engine. The device is part of the mechanical governor and allows fuel control rack position to decrease as engine speed decreases, thus reducing the amount of fuel delivered and reducing torque rise. The device works by the addition of a pivot arm to the existing main governor arm. One end of the pivot arm is pinned to the governor arm, and a roller is pinned to the opposite end. This roller bears on the fuel rack, maintaining rack position. An additional roller is pinned to the side of the pivot arm and bears on the tension arm. The travel of the pivot arm relative to the governor arm is limited in one direction by a physical stop, and in the other direction by a torque capsule (TC) spring. The TC spring is fixed to the governor arm and bears on the pivot arm roller opposite the tension arm. The TC spring holds the pivot arm roller against the tension arm.

Abstract: A speed governor for injection pumps in internal combustion engines with a regulating sleeve which at maximum rotational speed of the internal combustion engine is displaced as a function of speed within the regulating sleeve travel against the force of the main regulating spring that acts on a force transmitting lever. The regulating movements of the force-transmitting lever are transmitted onto the fuel delivery adjusting member of the injection pump by means of at least one intermediate lever. The internal combustion engine rotational speed can be influenced by means of an operating element adapted to be controlled. In case of a needed change of the beginning of the full-load speed regulation of the internal combustion engine, the spring travel of the main regulating spring is influenced by means of a force-transmitting element.

  • Patent number: 4664081
Abstract: A fuel injection system for Diesel internal combustion engines, particularly vehicle Diesel engines, is proposed which has a full-load stop dependent on atmospheric pressure. The position of the full-load stop which adapts the injection quantity to the variable ambient air pressure is derived from an air pressure adjusting member and transmitted onto the full-load stop via a transmission member. A locking mechanism, which locks the transmission device in a plurality of positions counter to the force exerted by the full-load stop, is associated with the transmission member. The transmission member has two disks draggably coupled within a predetermined range, one of which disks is actuated by the air pressure adjusting member and the other of which disks cooperates with the full-load stop. The draggable coupling effects an adjustment of the full-load stop, if the full-load stop is relaxed, so that the air pressure adjusting member need exert no more than a small adjusting force.

  • Patent number: 4580538
Abstract: There is proposed a speed governor for a fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines having a governor lever for setting the fuel injection quantity and a governor spring assembly arranged to engage the governor lever and counter to which an rpm-dependent force acts. To compensate for manufacturing tolerances of the governor spring assembly, it is also proposed that the effective length of a spring of the governor spring assembly be varied by realizing one of the supporting parts of the governor spring assembly as a multiple-part element. The supporting part is embodied such that it can be displaced by an adjusting lever in order to vary the pre-stressing of the governor spring, and that the first part is extended coaxially through it out of the interior of the fuel injection pump and can then be rotated in order to adjust the effective length of the governor spring and then fixed in an intended rotational position.

The control rod acts to control the injection pump or pumps. In order to provide a structurally simple apparatus which comprises a low-power stepping motor and to eliminate backlash between the cooperating elements of the apparatus, the shaft of the stepping motor carries a camwheel, which is indirectly engaged by the control rod, which is biased by a spring. The resiliently yieldable coupling can be coaxial with the camwheel and adapted to rotate as far as to stop only in one sense of rotation whereas the coupling is rigidly connected to the camwheel for a movement in the other sense of rotation.

  • Patent number: 4498437
Abstract: A centrifugal governor ensures a positive engine starting operation as well as a smoke control in the low engine speed range and a usual fuel injection control responsive to an increase in engine speed. A control rod with a rack is operatively connected with a floating lever through a spring biased piston and cylinder assembly, so that the control rod can be freely moved to its maximum fuel injection position during engine starting without being effected by a smoke limiter, which may be associated with the governor for a smoke control purpose. A unique lever mechanism is operable to move the control rod to the maximum fuel injection position during engine starting but, after a predetermined engine speed is reached, yields to a movement of the control rod in a fuel decreasing direction caused by the floating lever through the piston and cylinder assembly.

Abstract: The governor (FIG. 1) includes a second idling spring (supplementary idling spring 42) secured on a force transmission lever (31) acted upon by the main governor spring (34). By means of the second idling spring, the restoring force of a first idling spring (38) on a portion of the idling sleeve path (a) is reinforced in the idling position of an adjusting member (22). This exertion of force on the part of at least the supplementary idling spring (42) is increased in accordance with load by means of a corrective adjusting member (44) when the adjusting member (22) has pivoted into a partial-load position. As a result, in order to improve the starting behavior even in minimum-maximum speed governors, a partial-load rpm located above the idling rpm can be regulated, and a progressively increased supply quantity is controlled at the associated injection pump with increasing load in the lower partial-load range.

  • Patent number: 4421084
Abstract: A fuel injection pumping apparatus includes a governor which controls the size of an orifice through which fuel is supplied to an injection pump to determine the amount of fuel supplied by the pump to an associated engine. The governor includes a piston which at one end is subjected to fuel pressure and which bears at its other end against a spring connected in series with a spring. The spring is weaker than the spring so that at idling speed it is the spring which balances the force acting on the piston. Manually operable means is provided to effect movement of an abutment disposed between the springs, the spring acting to determine the maximum speed of the associated engine. When the engine has been started from cold, it is desirable to provide additional fuel to enable the engine to idle properly and for this purpose a device represented by the arrow, moves the end of the spring remote from the spring and this provides a temporary increase in the amount of fuel supplied at idling speeds.
