Abstract: A container assembly for holding containers filled with different items, such as food and cocktail garnishes is disclosed. The container assembly includes a support structure to support a plurality of removable containers. The containers are closed by a cover and sealed by perimeter seals. In illustrated embodiments, the cover includes a plurality of raised or dome shaped portions to provide interior head room for content in the containers. In embodiments described, the perimeter seals are formed of a gasket layer or bands and the support structure includes a support tray and container box.

Abstract: A storage device for vehicles enables a luggage box to be separated from a luggage compartment in a vehicle and to also be used outside the vehicle, thereby improving convenience in use. The storage device enables the internal space in the luggage compartment to be employed as a storage space even when the luggage box is separated from the luggage compartment, thereby improving availability of space.

Abstract: A storage tube for a smoking material includes a hollow tube extending along a central longitudinal axis from an open first tube end to a closed or closable second tube end. The tube has a sidewall with an inside surface and a cross-sectional dimension sized to receive a smoking material, wherein the second tube end has a lower inside end surface extending transversely to the central longitudinal axis. An upper end cap is removably attachable to the first tube end and forms an air-tight seal. A rigid protrusion extends axially into the tube from the lower inside end surface and has a protrusion body and a protrusion tip. The protrusion defines a gap between the protrusion body and the inside surface of the sidewall. Optionally, the protrusion is removable.

Abstract: An animal food caddy that stores animal-related items and is designed to improve animal posture and comfort. The animal food caddy has an upper and lower section which have dual functionality depending on the use. The first application of the animal food caddy is as a portable container that stores animal-related contents such as food, snacks or toys. The second application of the animal food caddy is as a feeding apparatus that generally functions as a non-skid placeholder to stabilize the upper section while the animal is feeding. The inner concave surface of the upper section has a low coefficient of friction designed so that food gravitationally funnels toward the nadir of the bowl. The animal food caddy conveniently provides the owner a means of efficiently transporting animal-related items while substantially improving animal posture and comfort during times of travel.

Abstract: An electronic smoking device (1) includes a mouthpiece (2), a heating element (4) and a body portion (5) which contains a liquid reservoir (6). The heating element (4) is adapted to vaporize liquid (7) supplied from the reservoir (6) to generate an aerosol. A flow path (8) extends from the heating element (4) to the mouthpiece (2). Flavor carrying units (9, 10) are permeable to the vaporized liquid (7) and carry flavored material (11, 12). The flavored material is selectively and individually exposed to the flow path 8 creating a flavored aerosol.

Abstract: A handheld litter disposal device for temporarily storing and containing cigarette ash, butts, and other litter. The litter disposal device includes a cap, a storage system, a pivot system adapted to permit the cap to move between the closed and open positions, and an extinguishing system containable within the storage system and adapted to extinguish the lit end of a cigarette. In the open position, ashes, butts, and unused portions of cigarettes, cigars, and/or other similar products can be transported from the outside to the inside of the litter disposal device and vice versa. In the closed position, however, cigarette ash and butts cannot enter or exit the storage system of the litter disposal device. The storage system has a rounded bottom or outer surface to prevent the litter disposal device from maintaining an upright position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cigarette butt receiving bag of disposable type for receiving and extinguishing glowing cigarettes, which bag (1) comprises a forward sheet (2), a rearward sheet (4), which sheets are sealed to each other along their outer edges (6) leaving an edge portion unsealed so as to provide an opening (8) for receiving a cigarette butt (10), thereby forming a cigarette butt receiving compartment (12) between said forward and rearward sheets (2, 4), and comprising a fluid (14), which is disposed in two heat insulating volumes (16, 18) within the cigarette butt receiving compartment (12). A first heat insulating volume (16) is delimited by the forward sheet (2) and a forward inner layer material (20) which is sealed against the forward sheet (2). A second heat insulating volume (18) is delimited by the rearward sheet (4) and a rearward inner layer material (22) which is sealed against the rearward sheet (4).

Abstract: A device to process cigarette butts has top and bottoms sections, one pivotably mounted on the other for rocking movement between open and closed positions. The bottom section has two access holes which are opened and closed by the rocking movement. When the holes are open, a user can insert a butt into one access hole and then can rock the top section, thus cutting the butt into a filter tip, and tobacco and paper materials. The tobacco and paper materials fall through a passage from the one access hole to the ground but do not cause a litter problem since they quickly biodegrade. The filter tips can be inserted into the second access hole into a storage space for later treatment and disposal. The bottom section has a thinned rear portion which allows increased rocking amplitude while minimizing the device thickness.

Abstract: An ashtray assembly for temporarily storing and containing rubbish, such as the ash and butts of cigarettes and cigars. In one aspect, the ashtray assembly can include a base assembly and an insert assembly. The base assembly can comprise a flexible body. The flexible body can include a storage container adapted to receive the rubbish. The flexible body can be made of a flexible material, such as a silicon-containing polymer, such that the flexible body can be manufactured by a molding process. Because the flexible body can be a silicon-container polymer, it may discolor when a lit end of a cigarette makes contact with the base assembly. The insert assembly can comprise an extinguishing member adapted to extinguish cigarettes, cigars, or both. The extinguishing member is preferably made of a generally non-marking and rigid material. The insert assembly can provide structural integrity and can be removably secured within the base assembly.

Abstract: An article of manufacture is disclosed, a lighted portable safety ashtray, comprising: at least one hollow outer body of a suitable height, width and depth, and; at least one hollow inner body of a suitable height, width and depth, smaller than and inserted into the hollow outer body, and; at least one removable receptacle top disposed on the inner hollow body and outer hollow body further comprising an opening in the receptacle top, and; at least one light source, and; at least one power supply, and; at least one electrical circuit in communication with the light source and the power supply, and; at least one electrical switch to open or close the electrical circuit in communication with the light source and the power supply. Optional timer and electroluminescence light source is also disclosed.

A tubular passage having a length longer than the length of a cigarette butt and the same diameter as the cigarette butt is tightly secured to the edge of the circular aperture. A cap is hingedly connected to the top side of the top portion. The cap is provided with an interior closure member, which with the cap in closed position tightly closes the opening of the passage in the top side of the top portion.

Abstract: A receptacle for receiving smoking waste includes a canister and a cap disposed on the canister. The cap includes a flow-inhibiting surface for affecting gas flow into the canister and a container member forming a containing area disposed horizontally inward of the flow-inhibiting surface for receiving smoke rising from the collection area. The cap can have at least one snuffing area for snuffing smoking material and at least one depositing area for depositing smoking waste into the canister. The opening for depositing smoking waste can allow for 360 degrees access to the user.

Abstract: An improved cigarette butt receptacle device for receiving cigarette butts, the device having a base retaining a container member, a receiving tube member with a chute segment directing the butts into the receptacle member and a secondary housing member that encloses the chute segment to alter the external visual appearance. In an alternate embodiment, the device has a cap member that joins to the chute segment. In an alternate embodiment the device has a non-linear chute member.

Abstract: A cigarette urn and method of assembly of same that defines an interior passage for smoking debris to travel when multiple components of the urn are assembled into a self-standing, upright assembly condition. A top one of the multiple components has a sidewall opening. The multiple components may be disassembled from the self-standing, upright assembly condition into an overlapping assembly condition with the multiple components overlapping and taking up less overall volume that in the self-standing, upright assembly condition. A fire retardant or heat resistant material may be lining an interior contour of a base of the multiple components. The top one of the multiple components may be of substantially uniform diameter along a majority of its length.

Abstract: A disposable ashtray includes a body made of paper and having a compartment with a top opening for receiving cigarette butts. The annular wall includes an annular flange extending outward from a top thereof. A heat-resisting layer covers an inner face defining the compartment. A top cover is mounted on the top of the annular wall. The top cover includes a crown having a central hole. The crown includes a plurality of cigarette receiving grooves. The crown further includes an annular wall extending downward from an outer peripheral edge thereof. The annular wall has an inner diameter slightly larger than an outer diameter of the annular flange. A plurality of protrusions extend inward from a lower edge of the annular wall. A first engaging groove is defined between each protrusion, the crown, and the annular wall. The annular flange is engaged in the engaging grooves.

Abstract: A covered ashtray which has a reversible top which is reversed when the ashtray is in use. The reversed side allows for the use of the ashtray in a standard fashion. Upon completion of use, the top may be placed back into the original position, wherein the ash and cigarette butts will be deposited into a chamber in the bottom portion of the ashtray.

It further includes a disposal bucket attached to the cap. Once the cap is coupled to the top of the stem, the disposal bucket is suspended in the interior cavity of the stem. At least one hole is made through the outer wall of the stem near the top. Once the disposal bucket is placed in the interior cavity of the stem, the hole is located between disposal bucket and the cap.

In another embodiment, a method is disclosed that shows how a person uses the cigarette or cigar container and the disposal receptacle.

A sealing plate having a melting point below 200° C. is mounted to an inner periphery of the peripheral wall and separates the compartment into an open space and a sealed space. A burning cigarette can burn through the sealing plate such that a burning end of the cigarette can enter the sealed space that lacks oxygen. Thus, the cigarette can be put out immediately to avoid injury to the human body.

Abstract: The present invention is a battery powered, portable microprocessor based early warning alarming ashtray. It provides the smoker two different time limited unattended cigarette alarms, as well an alarm for a tipped ashtray; an alarm for a bumped ashtray; an alarm based on nearby or lower elevation smoke by either of the two smoke detection devices; and a low power alarm. It offers “full protection” for most of the likely scenarios encountered by smokers that could result in a fire. Emptying of the ashtray by tipping overrides and disables the tipping alarm momentarily. Since the apparatus is microprocessor controlled, the timing intervals and magnitude of the different alarm notifications can be preprogramed as well as the sensitivity of the smoke detector devices.

Abstract: A deodorizing apparatus for suppressing odor emanating from a cigarette butt containment vessel. The cigarette butt containment vessel includes a partially enclosed basin cavity into which cigarette butts are collected. In accordance with the present invention, the deodorizing apparatus includes an odor absorption device mounted within the basin cavity of the cigarette butt containment vessel. The odor absorption device includes an absorptive material housing constructed of an air-permeable fabric or mesh that retains the odor absorptive material while permitting airflow between the basin cavity and the interior of the absorptive material housing.

Abstract: A portable promotional ashtray and methods of manufacturing the same. The portable promotional ashtray may have a rectangular outer housing with an upper lip attached to the front portion and having a promotional display a rectangular drawer having a rear portion that is higher than the sides of the rectangular drawer to partially removably contain the rectangular drawer within the rectangular outer housing and containing an extinguishing substance; and a looking mechanism for securing the rectangular drawer when in a closed position. A promotional display may be affixed to the outer housing. As such a portable, disposable ashtray for giveaways at bars, restaurants is provided.

Abstract: A cigarette pack holder with an adjacent built-in ashtray section. The ashtray chamber is latterly adjacent the compartment for the cigarettes and extends downwardly and under the cigarette compartment. The ashtray section has a hinged cap that when in the closed position acts as a boss to engage a notch on the cover to secure the cover in place. The bottom of the device has a slider opening for removal of ashes. Spaced up from the bottom is a shelf to retain the cigarette or cigar pack. The ashtray is separated from the cigarette pack storage compartment by a heat resistant vertical wall. Other walls of the device should also be made of heat resistant material.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a lockable ashtray comprising a cover defining at least one aperture therein, a hinge connecting the cover to a lower section. The cover is reversibly locked to the lower section or the cylinder shaped vessel. A Tray for holding cigarette butts is located out of sight beneath the cover. The at least one aperture has a diameter or width sufficiently small to hinder an adult or child intent on removing cigarette butts from the ashtray. In another embodiment the cover defining at least one aperture is attached to a cylinder shaped vessel having an inner lining defining an internal cavity at least partly filled with a bottom layer of immobile material and an upper layer of nonflammable material.

Abstract: A trash disposal device and method is provided that can be used to dispose litter and cigarette litter in particular. The device includes sheets of material forming a rectangular box casing that has a slot. Heat resistant material sheets are positioned within the casing such that the sheets may be pulled out of the casing through the slot. A sheet can be pulled out from the device and shaped into an ashtray-like shape that can be used to collect for instance cigarette litter. The ashtray-like shape with the litter can be folded up into a small package and then be placed in a storage area that could be part of the device. The trash disposal device could be assembled with foldable material to form the casing with a slot.

Abstract: An automotive ashtray comprises a compartment body defining a cavity and having an opening for accessing the cavity. The compartment body includes a first connecting member integrally formed therein. The ashtray further includes a cover having a second connecting member integrally formed therein, the first connecting member cooperating with the second connecting member to moveably couple the cover to the compartment body. An electroluminescent lamp is molded to the compartment body to illuminate the cavity. A two-shot molding process may be used to form the ashtray, with the compartment body and the first connecting member being formed in the first shot. The electroluminescent lamp is molded to the compartment body in the first shot. The cover and the second connecting member are then formed in the second shot so that the cover is pivotally coupled to the compartment body.

Abstract: A disposable, portable, pocketable, foldable and reusable cigarette ashtray which is formed from a single blank of fire retardant paper or other suitable material into a box shape that will fit into a vehicle cup holder. The ashtray consists of four sides, a bottom, three cavity leaf panels and a folding top lid. The cavity leaf panels slope into the container forming upper and lower cavities. When the ashtray is full of cigarette butts, a top lid panel is folded over the top cavity, locked in place and then safely disposed of. The back panel is supplied with an adhesive strip for attaching the ashtray to a surface. The ashtray is sized to act as a package for two packs of cigarettes. It is inexpensive to produce and can be folded for convenient packaging and portability.

Abstract: An ashtray includes doors that open and close and define a disposal path to a drawer when open. Cigarettes dropped on the doors will fall into the drawer when the doors are open. Cigarette disposal openings lead to the drawer and a cigarette grinder mechanism can be included to grind the cigarette or to cut off the lit tip of a cigarette placed in the cigarette disposal opening. Debris from the ground or cut cigarette drops into the drawer.

Abstract: An ashtray apparatus comprising a container, a cap member, and a handle assembly. The container includes a base and a surround member extending from the base. The base and surround member cooperate to define a cavity having an opening. The cap member is engageable with the container. The cap member and container cover at least a portion of the opening of the container. The cap member further includes a channel extending therethrough which permits communication with the cavity of the container. The handle assembly is releasably associable with at least one of the base and the cap member so that a user can selectively utilize the handle assembly.

Abstract: A container has a disposable receptacle present within the container. The disposable receptacle, such as a suitably structured bag, is positioned within the container, and an air eliminator eliminates air from a space that is between the bag and the container, so that the bag is pulled against an interior of the container, thereby reducing the flammability and puncture resistance of the bag. The bag has a closure mechanism that prevents air from entering the bag, and that prevents smoke from escaping from the bag, after a burning object is placed within the bag.

Abstract: The disposable unit for cigarette butts is simply a cylinder shaped container with a bottom and removable top. When the top of the unit is removed and an inner seal, the unit will allow easy access for a smoker to extinguish smoking material. The cylinder unit will contain a material that is a fire retardant and also is odor absorbent. The top may be placed back on the unit to maximize odor control or fixed to the bottom. The unit will fit into most cup holding devices in automobiles or stand independently.

The window version of the ashtray can contain hook/loop material (VELCRO) to attach it to the vehicle window and magnets so that the ashtray can automatically attach to the vehicle metal when the window is lowered. The mirror mounted version can contain a polished face to act as part of the mirror.

Abstract: A portable extinguishing ash container with pivoting lid is provided. The ash container features a flame-resistant fabric pouch which accommodates a metal container. The pouch is filled with a noncombustible granular material such as sand or pebbles for enveloping an outer surface of the ash container. A hinged circular, transparent lid allows the smoker to close the apparatus securely during transportation and to keep discarded butts and ashes inside. A small release button on the front causes the lid to open automatically when the button is pressed. Being transparent, the lid allows for various pictures, photographs, logos, or word phrases to be placed thereunder to provide for a visually appealing appearance. A pivoting cigarette platform is provided to permit resting support of a cigarette. A leather strap is included to facilitate transportability.

Abstract: A molded plastic repository for spent smoking materials having separate base and column pieces with connecting portions which are connected for use by a connector which engages the connecting portions. The base and column are molded as a single piece then severed in a plane so as to provide similar connecting portions in relation to the severing plane. The method of fabricating and assembly provides a savings in storing and shipping the repository.

Abstract: A built-in ashtray for a motor vehicle has a housing which has a guide by means of which an ashtray is displaceably in a drawer-type manner disposed in the housing. The ashtray also has a holder for a cigarette lighter which is mounted on the ashtray so that it can be moved into an operative position projecting upward from the ashtray. The built-in ashtray is equipped with a driving device which moves the holder during the displacement of the ashtray out of the housing into the operative position upward and, during the displacement into the housing, in a downward manner Furthermore, a spring is arranged between the housing and a rearward area of the ashtray, which spring changes the ashtray after the release of a locking from a moved-in closed position into a moved-out operative position.

Abstract: An ashtray is formed of at least two concentric surfaces where the inner surface is higher than the outer surface to direct the cigar or cigarette upwardly towards the center of the ashtray. The inner concentric surface is thin to minimize contact with the cigar or cigarette. Depressions having an upward slope towards the center of the ashtray are formed on the outer concentric surface to also direct the lit end of the cigar or cigarette upward towards the center of the astray. Protrusions are formed on the inner concentric surface to keep the cigar or cigarette from rolling on the support. Ash receiving chambers are formed interiorly of the inner surface and between the inner and outer surfaces.
