  • Patent number: 10582750
Abstract: An apparatus for sequentially and individually heating hair rollers incorporates a turn tray having a plurality of receptacles. The turn tray rotates, and if a roller is disposed in the receptacle, the turn tray will stop at a steam stage area where the roller is subjected to heat and steam. After a predetermined of time selected by the operator, e.g., when the hair roller is sufficiently treated with heat and steam, the roller is removed and applied to a length of hair of the operator. The turn tray will then automatically rotate to place the next successive roller within the steam stage area.

  • Patent number: 7264004
Abstract: A hair drying/styling device which combines a uniquely designed rotating hairbrush and blow dryer into a single product. The present invention simplifies the popular styling technique of brushing hair while applying the blow dryer, by allowing the user to completely disregard the blow dryer, as this operation is automated by the product. The user has the comfort of performing both of these vital tasks with one hand, providing the other hand with the freedom necessary to part and prepare each section of the hair for treatment. Furthermore, the present invention introduces a new rotating hairbrush specifically designed to prevent tangling and overheating of the hair—two of the most common complaints with users of prior art.

  • Patent number: 6701937
Abstract: Steam styling tongs including an evaporating device which is supplied with heat by a heating device and comprises an evaporator surface in thermal contact with the heating device. Liquid evaporates on the evaporator surface into steam, which then passes into a steam-distributor chamber and, there, flows outward via through-passages. The heating device is formed in a combustion chamber of the drum, in which, during the heating operation, flame-free combustion of a gas takes place by means of a catalyst, of which the combustion gases pass out via outlets formed in the drum or in the combustion chamber. The combustion chamber and the steam-distributor chamber are formed by a common chamber. Means which prevent water from penetrating into the common chamber are also provided.

Abstract: The curling tongs (1) comprise a heating device (17), which is arranged in a tubular heating rod (25) and extends in the longitudinal direction of the heating rod (25). The curling tongs (1) further comprise a fuel container, for receiving and discharging liquid fuel, and a valve device (5), which serves for gasifying and regulating the fuel. The heating device (17) is controlled in dependence on temperature by a thermostat (6) adjacent to it. According to the invention, the thermostat is shielded thermally from the heating device (17) by a partition wall (49). As a result, the temperature behavior of the heating rod is better regulated, with excessively high temperature peaks being avoided.
