Abstract: A hair brush configured to apply a hair fastener to a bundle of hair includes a housing having a handle portion and a brush portion. The hair brush also has an actuator that is coupled to the housing and a hair fastener applicator mechanism that is coupled to the housing and to the actuator such that operation of the actuator causes the hair fastener applicator mechanism to move between an open position in which the hair fastener is held in an elongated state that can receive the bundle of hair and a closed position in which the hair fastener is wrapped and secured around the bundle of hair.

Abstract: A hair curler (1) for waving hair includes a hollow supporting body (2). The cross section diminishes from the first end (3) over the axial length towards the second end (4). An enlarged element (6) has a cross section being more than the cross section of the second end (4), it is located in the region of the second end (4) and it is designed and arranged to prevent hair from slipping off the hair curler (1). A fixing device (8) is designed and arranged to fix the supporting body (2) in the region of the base of the hair. A hook band (7) is located on the circumference of the supporting body (2). The hook band (7) at least covers a portion of the circumference of the supporting body (2). The portion approximately extends from the region of the first end (3) in the direction of the axial length of the supporting body (2). The supporting body (2) at least in the portion being covered by the hook band (7) has an approximately oval cross section.

Abstract: A hair curler has a support and a sheath thereon containing a gel comprising a humectant, water, and a crosslinked water soluble polymer. The curler may be heated in a microwave oven; it emits moist heat during use and reabsorbs moisture from the atmosphere between uses.

Abstract: A hair setting strip for retaining a plurality of strands of hair and thereby setting a retained plurality of strands of hair in a desired style, comprises a thin resiliently pliant base member in the form of a strip having greater length than width, opposed first and second faces, and a longitudinal axis. A layer of hair-retentive material is securely mounted on the first face of the thin resiliently pliant base member. The hair setting strip is bendable along the longitudinal axis to a plurality of curved configurations, and is thereby selectively formable to any of the plurality of curved configurations. The hair setting strip may be retained in any selected curved configuration, whereby the retained plurality of strands of hair will become set in the desired style.

Abstract: A hair dressing foundation to ease in the creation of a french twist hair style. The foundation comprises a small, flexible device, triangular in shape with the upper end of the device being concave in curvature. A plurality of tabs allows the user to securely attach the device to the back of the user's hair. The user may wrap and swirl the user's hair around the device to create a french twist hair style.

Abstract: A hair roller apparatus includes a roller member having a roller stem, a roller pad mounted thereabout, and an oblong end flange and a circular end flange at opposing ends of the roller stem. The apparatus also includes a cap member having U-shaped cap body with a short end wall at a first end and a second end wall at a second end. Stem engaging recesses are provided in each of the end walls. Holes are formed in each of the oblong end flange of the roller member and the long end wall of the cap member so that a pin member can be inserted therethrough to secure the cap member against rotation relative to the roller member. A flexible protective sheet is also provided, and includes a slit for feeding hair therethrough. Mutually engageable hook and loop type fastening strips are provided on the outer surface of the cap body and on the flexible protective sheet so that the flexible protective sheet can be securely engaged to the cap body.

Abstract: A two-partite hair curler which includes a first relatively fixed part and a second relatively movable part, movable between an extended and retracted position relative to the first part, whereby the second part has a curler surface on which hair is adapted to be wound in the extended position of the first part, and the first and second parts are provided with complementary locking devices for disengageably locking the second part in both the extended and retracted position.

Abstract: A hair clamp structure is arranged for clamping a quantity of hair therewithin, wherein the clamp structure includes a plurality of pivotally mounted semi-cylindrical shells. The first shell includes a rib member projecting beyond a first shell second edge to be received within an inter-locking engagement with a second shell flange engaging beyond a second edge of the second shell. First edges of the first and second shells are of an interdigited construction including a hinge pin directed therethrough effecting pivotment of the first shell relative to the second shell. The upper and lower annular edges of each shell includes a semi-annular array of tooth members to enhance engagement of hair between the shells, with a lock pin to be received through openings of the shells' walls to effect locking and securement of the shells relative to a predetermined quantity of hair contained within the shells.
