Abstract: This invention relates to a cosmetic brush assembly. The cosmetic brush assembly has a brush member, which may be inserted in a case or pulled out from that by the open and close action of a protection cap. Further, the total length of the cosmetic brush assembly may be changed according to the movement of the brush. Therefore, a user may easily reserve the cosmetic brush assembly in a bag or use it for painting with cosmetic powder.

Abstract: Disclosed is a portable cosmetic brush set, preferably including five brush heads and at least one handle for use with each of the brush heads. According to the invention, such a novel design facilitates the application of makeup, particularly on the face, such as the eye and cheek area, while creating a very compact set of brushes for convenient storage and transportation. Each brush head comprises a tuft of bristles configured in a particular pattern specifically designed for a certain cosmetic application. The attachable handle comprises ends configured such that all of the different sizes of a plurality of brush heads may be attached in at least one way. Each of the bristles has a diameter of from 8 mil to 18 mil and is made from a thermoplastic elastomer material having a durometer of between 62D and 82D. A cylindrically configured helix is twisted onto the brush around the wire core such that the brush bristles extend radially between successive loops of the helix. The helix moves at least some of the bristles to a second orientation such that one or more characteristics of the brush may be altered. Characteristics of the original brush that may be altered include mascara retention, mascara application and combing characteristics, as well as the appearance of the brush. The dimensions of the helix, the pitch of the helix and the thickness of the helix body are each pre-selected to yield the desired characteristics in the finished brush.

The applicator comprises a plastic squeeze bottle having an open end enclosed by a brush member. The brush member has a cap terminating in a conically-shaped bristle holder that is generally hollow and is plugged at its base end with a channeled plug. A passage in the plug meters a controllable amount of liquid out of the squeeze bottle. The other end of the holder has a staple through which a plurality of bristles are looped, their free ends extending through the holder at a reduction aperture, the free ends generally terminating at a common plane a selected distance from the bottle. When the bottle is partially or completely filled with a liquid, the bottle may be squeezed thereby forcing the liquid through the plug and into contact with the bristles.

The hairbrush includes a handle with a polygonal socket tool extending therefrom. A detent, preferably a spring loaded ball detent, protrudes from one of the side walls of the socket tool. The hairbrush also includes a brush head having a central core. An end wall of the central core defines a socket which is sized and shaped to receive the socket tool. A ridge defined by the socket engages the detent when the socket tool is inserted in the socket. Preferably, the hairbrush also includes a retraction mechanism for retracting the detent so that when the retraction mechanism is actuated the detent no longer engages the ridge of the socket.

The comb is removably retained in the comb slot by snap engagement and is provided with an extending grip for manipulating the comb.

The brush and mixing bowl may be provided in an convenient kit form and a method for using the same is provided.

Abstract: A brush (200) has a straight stem (201) defining a main axis (X—X), a flexible core (202) having a first and a second end, the first end being integral with the stem, and bristles (204) implanted radially in the core. The end of the bristles defining the surface (205) of the brush have a first face, the intersection of any meridian plane passing through the main axis with the surface of the brush defining two peak lines (207) having a specific curvature. The core is curved, the peak lines (207) are convex, and the first face (207.1) is substantially straight and parallel to the main axis (X—X).
