Abstract: A flat, dental floss dispenser in a credit card format having a flat coil of floss in a well within the dispenser. A cutting blade is formed as a tab projecting from a plate which is supported on a step projecting from the well bottom inside a peripheral edge. Wall members project from the well bottom and surround at least a portion of the plate. The blade is a substantially U-shaped tab raised from the plate and forms two spaced acute angular intersections at its line of intersection with the plate, one being larger than the other. The larger functions to cut the floss, and the smaller to retain the cut end on the dispenser. The supply coil has a wrapping to assist in maintaining its integrity during manufacturing and in the dispensing process and the floss is withdrawn through the center of the coil.
Abstract: An oral hygiene device is comprised of a hollow housing having a weakened section in the periphery of the housing so that when the weakened section is broken, a user may grasp and separate the housing into two portions. A length of stretchable dental material and dentifrice is totally encased within a cavity in the unbroken housing and is secured at each end to two interior regions of the housing that can be separated at the weakened section. The length of the dental material is sufficient to allow the two portions of the housing to be grasped with opposite hands of the user and disposed in spaced apart relationship with each other, thereby permitting a portion of the dental material to be stretched uniformly in cross-section, by passing the dental material through small draw-like openings in each end of the housing so as to form a uniform and smooth exposed length of dental material and a quantity of the dentifrice which may be applied between adjacent teeth of the user, in conventional fashion.
Abstract: Flosser holds two threads side-by-side for insertion between a pair of teeth and draws the threads laterally apart to bend partially around the teeth while flossing them.

Abstract: The device is composed of a dental container having a portion with a dispenser for discharge of a charge of toothpaste and second portion sized to receive a spool of dental floss to be removed through a hole in the container so that a length of the floss can be severed using a cutter on the container.
Abstract: A personal, oral hygiene instrument is provided that incorporates a replaceable tooth engaging element and a dental filament dispenser into a single, hand held instrument. The instrument includes a hand graspable base member having an internal chamber for storing and dispensing dental filament from one end of the base member. A replaceable tooth engaging cleaning element is detachably received at the opposed end of the hand graspable base member.
Abstract: A dental floss and tape holder adapted to be positioned on the free end of a toothbrush handle in a hollow socket. An opposite end of the device supports a bow-shaped holder adjustably carried for relative movement to approximately 45.degree. in either direction from the plane of the part containing the socket to facilitate engagement with the teeth of a user. A pivoted joint to accomplish this movement is configured to provide rigidity and resistance to stress.
Abstract: A plurality of dental floss holders, each formed of a length of floss with gripping elements are aligned in succession with the floss of each being part of a continuous strand that is severable between holders, and with each two adjacent gripping elements of adjacent holders being separable parts of an initially unitary component. Also disclosed is an assembly of parallel disposed floss holders releasably joined together in dispenser packages and other assemblies of packaged dental floss holders.
Abstract: A dental flosser which has a locking mechanism that effectively prevents slippage of floss string during use. Broadly speaking, the flosser includes a body and a handle threadably joined to the body. The locking mechanism includes a bore in the body through which the floss is threaded, a shoulder on the body, and a washer mounted on the body adjacent the bore. With the floss looped around the washer, threadably tightening the handle on the body compresses the floss between the shoulder and handle to prevent floss slippage. Preferably, the handle has a floss storage cavity and the body has an internal floss passageway extending to the tip of one of two prongs on the body. Loosening the handle allows floss to be drawn or dispensed from the one prong.
