Abstract: A screen housing assembly includes a housing structure, a carrying structure, a screening structure, a screen releasing assembly, and a releasable securement structure. The housing structure can be carried and moved by a user. The carrying structure is secured to the housing structure for carrying the housing structure. The screening structure is stored internally of the housing structure. The screen releasing assembly is attached to the screening structure to allow the user to release a portion of the screening structure from internally of the housing structure to externally of the housing structure. The releasable securement structure is coupled to the screen releasing assembly to change the screen releasing assembly between a screen released position and a screen releasably secured position. The portion of the screening structure, which is external of the housing structure, can be used to screen off an area.

Abstract: An apparatus, useful as a hunting blind, includes a base, a seat operably mounted on the base, and a spring-biased camouflaged hood movably supported over the seat. A latch holds the hood down until a hunter sits on the seat, releasing the latch, but the hunter's weight then holds the hood down against the spring. The spring automatically moves the hood from a closed hiding position toward an open position when a hunter stands up, as the hunter removes his weight from the seat. The base is adapted with radially-extending feet for stability.

Abstract: A blind for use by hunters, bird watchers, field observers and the like has at least three upstanding walls, a top cover and a bottom pan where at least one of the walls has an opening for ingress and egress and at least one of the walls has an openable and closeable window.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a cover for a hunting stand which can be removably attached to an existing hunting stand. The present invention is adaptable to fit many sizes and shapes of existing hunting stands; however, one of the common types that it is adaptable to fit is referred to as a tripod hunting stand which comprises an upper hunting stand mounted on a tripod set of legs. The present invention comprises a framework having means for attachment to the railing of the exising hunting stand. The present invention also has a canvas cover mounted thereon which cover has multiple windows provided therein.

Abstract: A tree stand cover includes a center fabric sheet with first and second side fabric sheets attached to opposite side edges of the center sheet. Inner surfaces of each sheet includes a blaze orange coloration for hunter safety and an outer surface having a camouflage coloration for hiding a mounted tree stand. Straps with buckles extend from free side edges of respective side fabric sheets for releasably coupling the tree stand cover to a tree or other upstanding support. The sheets may be positioned to surround and hide a tree stand already coupled to the tree. Drawstring assemblies connected to the side fabric sheets enable those sheets to be collapsed against the center fabric sheet for transport. Another drawstring assembly is connected to the center fabric sheet such that the tree stand cover may be tightened about the tree stand itself for simultaneous transport of the tree stand and cover.

The elongated directional mounting assembly pivots in the horizontal plane relative to the stationary upright structure. The elongated directional mounting assembly's other end has rotatably mounted in the vertical plane one end of a first substantially rectangular elongated member. The first substantially rectangular elongated member's other end has a substantially rectangular visor perpendicularly connected thereto. The elongated directional mounting assembly, in concert with the first substantially rectangular elongated member, enables positional adjustment of the visor in the horizontal and vertical planes relative to the stationary upright structure.

Abstract: A portable shelter for a tree blind including an upper tree gripping bracket and a tension member extending from the upper tree gripping bracket and operatively connecting to an overhead frame. A vertical spacing member maintains a vertical distance between the upper tree gripping bracket and a lower tree gripping bracket. A compressive member extends between the vertical spacing member and the overhead frame and the compressive member is adjustable relative to the vertical member. A rain fly covers the overhead frame.

The support attaches to a structure and pivots on the attachment. Various embodiments include multiple supports and multiple curtains. A method of hiding in front of a similar pattern.

Abstract: A quickly erectable structure includes expandable/collapsible top and bottom assemblies that are interconnected to facilitate forming an enclosure and to facilitate taking down the enclosure. Specifically, the bottom assembly includes a plurality of interconnected X-shaped subframes that combine to form a telescoping scissor frame. The top assembly includes a plurality of inverted foldable Y-shaped subframes attached together and to a top of the telescoping scissor frame in a manner that combines the two to form a stable umbrella-like overcenter top frame attached atop the telescoping scissor frame. A drawstring mechanism is attached to a peak of the structure to hold the top frame in an expanded position. Flexible covers are attached to the two frames, and a drawstring arrangement on the top cover allows flaps to be lifted to form 360 degrees of windows.

Abstract: A collapsible hunter's blind apparatus, for enclosing a hunter in a truncated triangularly-shaped enclosure, comprising: first and second vertically draping camouflage panels, a first horizontal telescopic frame member for horizontally supporting the first vertically draping camouflage panel, and a second horizontal telescopic frame member for horizontally supporting the second vertically draping camouflage panel. The first and second horizontal telescopic frame members are coupled to the sides of a tree trunk via an adjustable strap member. The collapsible hunter's blind apparatus further comprises an arc-shaped strap member which provides a reciprocating force to counterbalance gravitational forces and the weight of the horizontally supported first and second vertically draping camouflage panels acting on the first and second telescopic horizontal support members, respectively, to maintain each of the first and second telescopic horizontal support members substantially horizontal.

Abstract: A portable hunting blind configurable between a collapsed configuration to a deployed configuration composed of a collapsible frame and a flaccidly flexible skin which covers the frame. The frame has a U-shaped base, a U-shaped upright which is pivotally connected to the base and is selectively height adjustable, a U-shaped first forward support pivotally connected to the upright, and a U-shaped second forward support pivotally connected to the first forward support. The skin is shaped to provide a generally taut fit when the frame is in the deployed configuration. At least one window is formed in the skin for peering thereout and shooting therethrough. A buttress, preferably in the form of a draw belt, is connected to each side of the upright near the upper end thereof, wherein a first belt member passes through a first slit formed in the skin at one side of the opening, and a second belt member passes through a second slit formed in the skin at the other side of the opening.

Embodiments of the present odor-inhibiting enclosure include hunting blinds, tent-like structures, and mantles. The latter embodiment may be used to envelope objects such as vehicles and supplies, which would otherwise emit odors, the odors detected by game animals.

Abstract: A portable blind apparatus is provided for mounting on a tree and includes an umbrella mounting assembly for mounting on the tree. A collapsible umbrella is supported by the umbrella mounting assembly. The umbrella includes a collapsible umbrella canopy and a canopy support member connected to the umbrella canopy. A flexible net is draped over and supported by the umbrella. The flexible net can be fixed to the canopy support member with a quantity of adhesive material. Net straps are connected to the net for stabilizing the net with respect to the tree. A person who is inside the internal region defined by the hanging net and the umbrella is concealed from view and is protected from becoming wet by rain or snow. The flexible net can include windows or portholes.

The blind/decoy unit (12) includes a blind/decoy member (50) having a first sheet (51) of material (52) that is at least semi-transparent with a front surface (56) that is provided with an opaque decoy element (55) that is contoured, colored and configured to resemble a selected species of wild game for the purpose of attracting wild game towards the apparatus (10).

Abstract: A cam style hub and strut system for use in single panel fabric, cloth, or plastic units, or structures with an unlimited number of wall and/or roof panels. The purpose of the cam style hub is to compensate for certain fabric characteristics and to allow easier setup of structures containing flexible or rigid support struts connected to a central hub by lessening the distance of the diametrically opposing struts during assembly, and applying the force necessary to engage the self-supporting structure by engaging the cam, increasing the distance between the ends of the opposing struts. The amount the distance is increased can be dictated by materials used and the size of the panel. The hub may contain an optional “locking” feature activated when the hub cam is engaged for convenience and safety reasons. The principle can be used with any number of struts greater than one.

Abstract: A prefabricated shooting house is disclosed which can be easily assembled and disassembled from a position within the volume enclosed by the shooting house. The prefabricated package includes four rectangular side panels and a square top panel or roof, and requires no additional coloring or finish work. Assembly of the shooting house involves positioning four side panels, affixing three of the panels to adjoining side panels and a separately constructed bottom portion, positioning the top panel by raising it through the body diagonal of the house, and finally affixing the remaining side panel and top panel.

Abstract: There is provided herein a three-dimensional structure for camouflaging edifices having a large roof area from effective identification and targeting by aerial observation. The structure is light in weight, has minimal bulk, and is relatively easy to transport and deploy. The structure is comprised of a light weight metal frame having structural bar members arranged in substantially parallel horizontal and vertical arrays when assembled. The bar members are connected to each other by hinges so that the structure may be readily collapsed (lowered) or raised quickly and on short notice. The structure is deployable and retractable (i.e., may be raised or lowered) with the camouflage cover placed over the frame. A fabric cover imbued with camouflage patterns and colors on its exterior side is draped over the frame. Windup cables, pulleys and winches or cranks allow for the raising or lowering of the structure from the ground or other remote location.

Abstract: A portable and foldable shelter for use by ice fishermen and other outdoorsmen is described. A tripod of pole members, hingedly interconnected at one end, is covered with a canvas or plastics cover. A hinged tang is provided on the central pole member which can be secured to the ice and about which the erected shelter can be rotated to keep the open side thereof directly downwind in the event of a wind shift.

An elongated plug member of lightweight material in the shape of a human head is suspended in the hunting blind. The plug is supported by a vertical support member attached to the plug at the longitudinal axis to permit pivotal movement of the plug in the blind. Also, a device is used to limit the horizontal displacement of the plug.

Abstract: A toy playset is fabricated of a tent like fabric cover to represent a fanciful depiction of an anthill. The tent-like cover is formed about a frontal opening which facilitates viewing of the enclosure interior. A base secured to the tent-like enclosure further supports a vertically extending trunk which in turn supports the upper portion of the tent-like structure together with a platform. The platform further supports a table in a manner facilitating raising or lowering the table. A plurality of projectile launchers are supported by the table. A spring loaded catapult launcher is positioned upon the outer portion of the base and a ball guiding member extends downwardly from an aperture formed in the table to provide a ball rolling path which deposits a ball into the catapult causing a launch of the ball. Additional projectile launchers are provided on the supporting base. The fabric utilized on the tent-like structure is preferably translucent or otherwise light transmissive in character.

Abstract: A two-person tree stand system for deer hunting comprising a housing frame having a horizontal floor formed of peripheral rods in a rectangular configuration with cross support rods forming a rectangular access space. The housing also has a roof formed of peripheral rods in a generally rectangular configuration. A central rod with diagonal support rods forms an A-frame. The housing also has sides formed of vertical rods coupling the floor and roof with diagonal support rods. A wooden floor is positioned on the floor of the frame with an opening over the access space. The wooden floor further has a cross-strengthening brace with protruding ends receivable within recesses in the frame. A fabric roof is positionable over the roof of the frame. Four side walls are positionable over the sides of the frame.

Abstract: A portable shelter is provided including a frame having a base and a collapsible upper portion. A cover is removably mounted on the upper portion of the frame. A pair of shoulder straps are each coupled to the base of the frame for allowing the same to be worn on a back of a user. Next provided is a bag mounted on the base for receiving the cover.

Abstract: A collapsible portable bale shaped field blind for wildlife observers and hunters generally includes a cylindrical and collapsible tubular frame supported upon a sled-like base. The frame, when fully extended, has a cylindrical shape much like that of a hay bale. In a collapsed shape, the frame is completely folded down suitably into a sled base. The frame has a camouflage waterproof fabric fastened there over and cooperates with the folding of the frame. A stand-up hatchway which is covered by a camouflaged arcuate door frame is pivotally mounted on the top of the collapsible frame. A stretch cord is provided which biases the arcuate door frame into either the fully open or fully closed position. Windows and viewing slots are also provided.

Abstract: A modular enclosure for use as a hunting blind, an ice fishing shelter, and wildlife observatory or the like. The enclosure comprises a plurality of rigid, insulated panels installed in a frame assembly to form a front wall, a back wall, spaced apart end walls, a roof and a floor. The frame assembly comprises a plurality of track members mounted the roof and the floor, and configured to receive the top and bottom edges of the wall panels. The enclosure further comprises at least one opening or port in the nature of a window, a door, and a plurality of handles mounted to the exterior to facilitate transport of the enclosure. A sun visor is mounted to the exterior of the enclosure above the at least one opening. A bench is mounted in the interior of the enclosure at a position immediately below the at least one opening for supporting a firearm. A storage shelf may also be provided in the interior of the enclosure. Skis may be mounted to the enclosure to facilitate transport of the enclosure over icy surfaces.

Abstract: The invention is a scent-free wildlife blind. The blind has a room-like shelter having a door, a plurality of windows, a small vent near ground level, and a flexible tube extending from the top of the shelter to a height of approximately 30 feet from the ground. When the wind hits the shelter, the windspeed will be higher at the top of the tube than at the bottom vent. The pressure exerted by the wind on the air inside the shelter is inversely proportional to the wind speed. Therefore, the pressure difference will force air in through the bottom vent and out through the top of the tube, carrying the scent of the occupants out of the blind high enough so that nearby animals will not smell the occupants.

Abstract: A portable hunting blind for attachment to an aiming device, such as an archery bow, a firearm, or other hunting device. The portable blind is a camouflage screen supported by a frame of stay rods extending from a central block. The central block has a first set of sockets for receiving the stay rods in an orientation in which the screen is extended and a second set of sockets for receiving the stay rods in an orientation in which the screen is collapsed. The blind is mounted to the bow or other aiming device by a mounting frame that allows the support frame and camouflage screen to be folded out of the way when carrying the aiming device. Alternative mounting frames are shown for a bow, for a firearm, and for a camera.

The frame has a camouflage waterproof fabric fastened there over and cooperates with the folding of the frame. A stand-up hatchway which is covered by a camouflaged arcuate door frame is pivotally mounted on the top of the collapsible frame. A stretch cord is provided which biases the arcuate door frame into either the fully open or fully closed position. Windows and viewing slots are also provided.

Abstract: The present invention is a decoy hunting blind and cart which both provides a goose blind structure and functions as a cart. The hunting blind and cart positions an enlarged decoy directly over a hunter reclining on a flexible hammock provided on the cart which holds the hunter slightly off the ground. Offset to one side of the cart is a support framework for the enlarged decoy, which is easily rotated out of the way permitting the hunter to shoot. The hunting cart is a wheel-barrow like structure which permits the hunter to transport all of his decoys which are set up in the field to various locations.

Abstract: Invention relates to an environmentally protected, mobile and adjustable elevated platform, such as for observation, or as a hunting blind. The platform is supported on a mobile stand by plural telescopic legs, and a centrally positioned telescopic lifting mechanism. The observation enclosure is formed by wall panels hingedly secured to the platform, and a roof panel secured to one of the wall panels. Access means to the enclosure, in the form of a door and extension ladder, are disclosed.

Abstract: A pit blind for hunting and observing waterfowl includes a lightweight, low profile molded shell that is contoured for use by a single reclining individual. The shell is placed in a shallow open hole dug into the ground. A low profile cover is placed on top of the shell, with camouflage material placed on the cover to conceal the user. The cover is made of hinged panels, allowing the user lying in a horizontal prone position within the shell to rapidly push up the cover panel overlying the upper torso, sit up and take aim at approaching waterfowl. While reclining in the pit blind with a firearm, the user can point the barrel of the firearm through gun ports in the cover.

Abstract: A portable hunting blind includes a collapsible frame structure having an upper frame assembly defined by generally U-shaped interconnecting sections and a lower frame assembly defined by generally U-shaped interconnecting sections, the frame assemblies being provided with a continuous track to accommodate movement of traveler assemblies therealong. The traveler assemblies each include oppositely disposed wheels which ride within the continuous track and a hook member extending from the frame assembly for removable attachment to a respective top or bottom peripheral edge of a curtain. The curtain can be provided with a camouflage pattern to suit any environment and is pulled closed, about the continuous track of the upper and lower frame assemblies, to define front, back and side walls. The front, back and side walls include window openings with closure flaps to facilitate viewing and firing of a weapon therethrough from within the blind.

Abstract: A portable tree platform elevated via a winch including a planar platform with at least one support rod coupled at a first end thereof to the platform and extending upwardly therefrom. A pair of wheels are rotatably coupled to the periphery of the platform adjacent the support rod such that the platform may be easily transported in a manner similar to a cart. Further provided is a winch unit including a spool and a motor connected to a battery. The motor is adapted for effecting the gathering of the cable on the spool upon the actuation thereof in a first mode of operation and further effecting the dispensing of the cable from the spool upon the actuation thereof in a second mode of operation. By this structure, an end of the cable may be fixed in an upper extent of a tree such that upon the actuation of the motor in the first mode of operation, the platform is elevated.

Abstract: A portable, collapsible, water proof canopy especially adapted for use in a tree is provided. A flexible, collapsible frame is detachably coupled to the canopy along its perimeter. Means for suspending the canopy from a tree is disposed near the center of the canopy. Sufficient canopy material is provided so that when the canopy is suspended from the tree at said means, the canopy assumes an approximately conical shape. A user perched in a tree underneath the canopy is thereby partially protected from inclement weather.

Abstract: A blind device for use in concealing a user from view during the course of hunting or observing wild geese includes a shell goose decoy mounted on a support structure that supports the shell in an elevated, generally horizontal position above the ground to provide a substantially unobstructed space below the shell to accommodate and conceal at least a portion of the user's body, and enables the user to swing the shell with generally horizontal movement about a generally vertical offset pivot axis of the support between a covering position in which the shell overlies and conceals the user and a revealing position in which the shell is swung out of the way to one side of the user, providing the user with substantially unobstructed overhead viewing and freedom of movement.
