With Means For Accommodating A Detachable Actuator Patents (Class 137/382.5)
  • Patent number: 10058030
Abstract: A light-weight portable hydraulic system for engagement with equipment requiring hydraulic fluid to operate. The system includes a reservoir; a pump and an oil filter engaged with each other. One or more handles are provided on the system so that the system may be carried by a single individual or may be lifted onto or off of a supporting unit upon which the system is mountable. A suitable supporting unit may be a zero-turn stand-on mower. An input shaft for the pump is operatively engaged with the engine of the mower and the pump is powered by that engine. The system is selectively connected to the equipment requiring hydraulic fluid for operation, such as a mower attachment, by way of hydraulic hoses that quick connect to ports on the pump. The system may be engaged with or disengaged from the mower in around thirty seconds and without tools.

Abstract: A pilot regulator system includes a housing having a fluid inflow port, a ball valve to regulate fluid flow among two fluid outflow ports, two regulator outputs each associated with one of said two fluid outflow ports, and a regulator selection aperture. An extension portion, generally horizontal to the regulator outputs, is connected to the regulator selection aperture, and includes an open end for access to a selection member that can be moved between two positions to select fluid flow to one of two regulator outputs. The extension portion also has a groove and the selection member has an extension extending through the groove so as to be movable by either the extension or the selection member itself. The extension portion has an expansive cross-sectional element to guide a remote vehicle to the selection member for movement thereof.

  • Patent number: 8544829
Abstract: An adjustment safeguard for a set screw that is rotatably held in a housing has a cap that is non-rotatably secured on the head of the set screw. The cap is received in a sleeve of the housing and surrounded with minimal radial play by the sleeve that is essentially coaxially positioned relative to the cap. The cap is received with its axial length in the sleeve. The cap has a projection and the sleeve has a stop arranged in the interior of the sleeve. Projection and stop interact with each other in a rotational direction of the set screw. The cap has a top part and a separate bottom part. The bottom part is secured axially and non-rotatably on the head of the set screw. The bottom part engages with form fit the top part in the rotational direction and is axially connected to the top part.

  • Patent number: 8286614
Abstract: An adjustment limiting device for a carburetor including a fuel adjustment valve rotatable to adjust a supply of fuel in or delivered from the carburetor includes an adjustment limiting cap and a connector. The adjustment limiting cap is adapted to be disposed over a portion of the fuel adjustment valve and includes a rotary connection feature adapted to limit relative rotational movement between the adjustment limiting cap and the fuel adjustment valve, and a rotation limiter to limit rotational movement of the adjustment limiting cap. The connector may be carried by the adjustment limiting cap to maintain the adjustment limiting cap on the fuel adjustment valve. The connector may be concealed by the carburetor body, permit the adjustment limiting cap to be fitted onto the fuel adjustment valve, and prevent the adjustment limiting cap from being removed from the fuel adjustment limiting valve.

  • Patent number: 7322563
Abstract: Underground water valves having square operating nuts, such as but not limited to critical water valves which control different pressure zones or different demand areas, are secured by a shielding cap, each of which have a recess that receives a valve operating nut and a cylindrical projection which frustrates attempts to rotate the operating nut. When an authorized person decides to open or close one of the valves, the shielding cap is retrieved from the operating nut by a retrieving head which has the socket defined by a frustoconical recess. Within the recess are a pair of opposed pins which seat in J-shaped slots in the frustoconical projection. Upon rotating the retrieving head, the pins move into alignment with open ends of the J-shaped slots, down shank portions of the slots and abut closed ends of the slots so that the shielding cap may be pulled from the valve operating nut and withdrawn through the valve operating box.

  • Patent number: 7172173
Abstract: A switch valve includes a valve body, a control stem rotatably mounted on the valve body, a limit ring mounted on the valve body, a locking member secured on the control stem and hidden in the limit ring, and a rotation head removably mounted on the limit ring and detachably engaged with the locking member. Thus, the locking member is only rotated by rotation of the rotation head to rotate the control stem so as to open/close the water flow in the valve body, so that the switch valve has a locking effect, thereby preventing the switch valve from being opened by a person intentionally.

  • Patent number: 7097165
Abstract: A carburetor fuel valve adjustment and limiter assembly for a combustion engine limits the maximum and minimum fuel amounts delivered through the valve of the carburetor. A needle valve of the adjustment and limiter assembly cooperates with a collar and pin generally located axially inward of an enlarged valve head. The collar of the limiter assembly is arranged telescopically with a valve shaft and yieldably biased to lock to the head when moved in an axially outward direction. When locked, and upon rotation of the valve, first and second stops carried by the collar are arranged to bear on a stationary pin carried by a carburetor body. During manufacture, the collar can be pushed axially inward against the bias of a spring to disengage the collar from the head to permit rotation of the needle valve while the collar remains stationary for unlimited adjustment of the needle valve.

Abstract: A novel, one-way nut fastener including a nut body with a side wall that is internally threaded and lobes that extend from the side wall of the nut body. Each lobe has a flat portion that extends substantially radially away from the side wall and a curved portion that extends from the flat portion to the flat portion of an adjacent lobe. A special tool uses the leverage that is gained from the flat portions of the lobes to tighten the cap threads onto the threads of a stem portion. Since the leverage gained from the lobes, which is used to tighten the nut fastener, cannot be used to loosen the fastener, it is much more difficult to remove the nut fastener.
