With Interlocking Hooks Patents (Class 138/168)
  • Patent number: 11617462
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a washable straw of high practicality, including a middle connecting body, a first snap-fitting body connected with one side of the middle connecting body, and a second snap-fitting body connected with another side of the middle connecting body opposite to the first snap-fitting body. The first snap-fitting body and the second snap-fitting body are movably connectable by snap-fitting. The structural design of the present disclosure is rational. Through the control of the dimensions of the various components and the elastic contraction of the material, a reliable connection and a certain degree of sealing and leak-proof effect can be achieved. Moreover, it is easy to use and wash, and has an outstanding result of application.

Abstract: A woven sleeve is used for bundling elongated substrates. The illustrative embodiment is interwoven of monofilament warp members and fill yarns comprised of compliant material such as bulky multifilament yarn. Supplement monofilaments extending lengthwise of the fabric are separated into individual pieces, each including a section cradled in the compliant material of a fill yarn and are locked in the cradle position by at least one of the warp members. End sections of the individual pieces project outwardly and terminate in hooks which interlock with an exposed section of the compliant material to effect closure of the sleeve around the elongated substrates. A sleeve of the type described may also be provide with integral hooks to attach the sleeve to loop-type other loop material on a support surface.

  • Patent number: 6308464
Abstract: A downspout for use with a rain gutter is formed from an elongate member constructed substantially entirely of plastic material. During shipping and storage, the elongate member is maintained in a generally planar configuration that can be coiled on a mandrel. To produce a downspout, a predetermined length of the elongate member is withdrawn from the coil and cut. The elongate member is then configured into a tubular form having a predetermined geometric cross-section, such as a rectangular or oval cross section. Lateral sides of the elongate member define respective connectors that are interlocked to maintain the tubular form.

Abstract: A tube for a heat exchanger has a cross-section having two opposed side walls and two opposed ends. The ends have curved portions and one of the ends has a double wall comprising an inner wall and an outer wall. One of these side walls extends to form the outer wall and the other of the side walls extends to form the inner wall. Each of the outer and inner walls has a respective extremity, the inner wall being offset inwardly to accommodate the extremity of the outer wall and the extremity of the inner wall deviating away from the outer wall.

Abstract: A piping jacket for insulating a piping element to prevent heat transfer and to protect the piping element from moisture and other elements. The piping jacket has a first edge portion with a curved edge and a second edge portion with a plurality of projections that interfere with the curved edge to secure the piping jacket around a piping element when the piping jacket is in a closed position. The piping jacket can have two or more rows of projections along the second edge portion to accommodate piping elements having different outer diameters. The piping jacket can also be formed by two separate body sections positioned around a piping element and pressed together so that projections along a first edge portion and a second edge portion of the inner body section interfere with the curved edges of a first edge portion and a second edge portion of the outer body section.

  • Patent number: 6014988
Abstract: A perforated metal center tube is provided for use within an oil, fuel, or hydraulic filter. The tube is fabricated from a perforated metallic sheet formed into a cylinder in which opposite edges thereof are mutually engaged with one another to form a longitudinal multi-layered lockseam. The lockseam is mechanically clinched to inhibit slippage of the mutually engaged edges without the need for welding, soldering or otherwise chemically or adhesively bonding the lockseam. A series of circumferential beads are provided at spaced locations along the length of the tube to provide structural reinforcement. Each bead is formed through lockseam without generating slippage or disengagement of the first and second edges relative to one another. The beads advantageously provide the tube with sufficient structural integrity to withstand typical filtration pressures, with a metallic sheet of relatively thin gauge.

  • Patent number: 5967194
Abstract: A tubular article of resilient material used as a protective sheathing for wires, hoses or other elongated substrates is provided with substantially circumferentially extending corrugations and a longitudinally slit side wall to allow for installation over the substrates. Fastening means in the form of hook-and-loop fastening tape is applied to the abutting edges of the slit so that the hooks and loops interlock when the slit is closed. The hook-and-loop tape protects the fingers of the worker during installation of the tubular article, prevents relative movement of the slit edges caused by turning and twisting forces, thereby eliminating undesirable noise during use and the need for taping following installation.
