Abstract: A picker assembly includes a picker, a driving member coupled to the picker, the driving member adjusting a position of the picker, a pair of first fixing members on a lower surface of the driving member, the pair of first fixing members being adjacent to a portion at which the driving member and the picker are connected, and a pair of second fixing members on the picker, the pair of second fixing members being coupled to respective first fixing members through latching and fixing.

Abstract: A device picker in a handler includes a vertical plate installed on the installation rest to be movable, a plurality of variable pitch blocks installed in parallel with each other on a lower end of the vertical plate through guide members to be movable in right and left directions to enable right/left pitch adjustment, a pair of pickup members installed on front and rear sides of each of the variable pitch blocks through guide members to ascend/descend, respectively, the pickup members coupled with each other to interoperate in opposite directions to pick up and release the devices alternately, a block driving means for moving the variable pitch blocks in a lateral direction, and a pickup member driving means for interoperating the pickup members to move upward and downward in opposite directions, respecively.

Abstract: A loop picker and method of making same are provided wherein such picker has a body provided with a picker stick receiving passage extending therethrough and a forward block, and the block and body are comprised of a single strip of laminated fabric consisting of a forward portion and a trailing portion with the trailing portion being disposed in wound relation and having an innermost turn which defines the major portion of the inside surface of the passage.

Abstract: In a loom picker construction having a picker stick, shuttle-engaging block, and apparatus for holding the block on the stick, an improvement in the holding apparatus is provided and includes a pair of projections extending from opposite sides of the block, and a spring clamp engaging the projections and stick and yieldingly urging the block against the stick.

Abstract: A molded loom picker has greatly increased resistance to heat and abrasion caused by impact of the shuttle on the picker nose. The picker embodies asbestos fabric and/or asbestos fibers combined with heat curable resin, elastomers and materials which exhibit a low coefficient of friction, such as Teflon. The product is extremely tough and durable and its useful life can by up to fifty per cent longer than prior art loom pickers.

Abstract: The picker stick holding grip of a loop picker is significantly increased, and overall picker performance is materially improved through superior wear characteristics, by interposing a layer of thermoplastic material (e.g., nylon fabric) in the course of building the picker body by wrapping layers of rubberized fabric about picker loop and face block portions in preparation for molding the same during a vulcanizing cure.

Abstract: An improved device for maintaining a picker in a predetermined location on a loom picker stick, which permits worn pickers to be quickly and easily removed and replaced with a new picker and in the same operating position as the replaced picker without the normally required adjustments for alignment with a loom's shuttle.
