Abstract: A modular paintbrush head and handle system using a plurality of lightweight ergonomic handles adjustably and detachably connected to a plurality of paintbrush heads. A complete array of brush sizes and types have standard connections that cooperate with connections on an array of handles. The connections create a pivot point such that the brush head may be pivoted about at least one axis for adjustment, and then fixedly held at the desired angle. One or more adapters can be disposed between the handle and brush head to increase the number of axes of rotation of the head in relation to the handle and thereby allowing for compound angles of the brush head relative to the handle.

Abstract: A cleaning tool is disclosed for cleaning adjacent surfaces. In one embodiment, for instance, the cleaning tool may be used as a toilet bowl brush. The cleaning tool includes a handle comprised of a first handle member pivotally attached to a second handle member. Each handle member terminates in a clamping plate. The clamping plates move towards and away from each other as the handle members are likewise moved towards and away from each other. The handle can include a locking member that engages the first handle member with the second handle member in order to clamp or hold a cleaning pad in between the clamping plates. The cleaning element holder includes a grip to be held by a user and two holding elements connected to the grip and extending parallel in a longitudinal direction with a predetermined spacing therebetween. The cleaning element includes a sheet element of nonwoven fabric, at least three insert regions demarcated by the sheet element and extending parallel to each other, and a covering part that covers the sheet element and forms a wiping face. The two holding elements extending with the predetermined spacing are inserted into arbitrarily selected two of the at least three insert regions.

Abstract: A cleaning tool that includes an elongate cleaning element holder and a cleaning element to be attached to the cleaning element holder is provided. The cleaning element holder has a grip to be held by a user and two holding elements extending parallel in a longitudinal direction from the grip. The holding elements are adapted to be inserted into an insert region of the cleaning element to thereby hold the cleaning element. The two holding elements of the cleaning element holder can be rotated in parallel toward each other around a longitudinal axis of the cleaning element holder on a rotation axis disposed between the holding elements. As a result, through the rotation of the two holding elements inserted into the insert region, the sectional shape of the cleaning element can be changed in a direction crossing the longitudinal direction of the cleaning element holder.

The handle of the toilet cleaning tool may be provided with a non-slip finish.

A movable rod inside the tubular stick provided with pressing and quiding rolls, which is connected with a pilot sleeve with a pin and slid over and moves along the tubular stick together with the movable rod and with the said pin which moves along slideways formed in the wall of the tubular stick. The said rod's rolls press against the surface of the socket causing rotation of the socket with a sponge mop until reaching parallel to the tubular stick's axis position.

The sheets can be attached together at an end by pressure bonding or by a water-soluble adhesive and formed with bristles at an opposite end. The wand provides a remote system for clamping and unclamping the brush head.

The illustrated tool has an upstanding post and angularly spaced teeth that cooperate with the tool device to allow the connected tool to be turned relative to the tool body.

Abstract: A painting tool capable of swiveling through 360 degrees comprising a base having a pad mounted thereto and upwardly projecting threaded portion on the base having a recess or socket and a handle having a ball at one end to engage the socket. A threaded nut joins the ball to the socket. A tab may be provided on the base to lock the pad in position. The tool permits an increase in the speed of painting and is particularly effective when an extension pole is mounted to the handle.

Abstract: A hollow, cylindrical, handle is substantially permanently connected to a end piece by insertion into the distal end of the handle of a first axial section of the end piece and inwardly deforming portions of the handle wall inwardly into indentations formed in the outer surface of the end piece. The end piece includes a shoulder at the juncture of the first section with a second section limiting the extent of insertion of the end piece into the handle and the indentations are formed, preferably on diametrically opposite sides of the first section, at a known axial distance from the shoulder. Visible indicia are placed on the outer surface of the second section in axial alignment with the indentations. The positions at which the handle wall is inwardly deformed is determined by the known distance from the shoulder (distal end of the handle) and in axial alignment with the indicia on the second section.

Abstract: A handle connector for securing the head of a cleaning tool to its handle is formed as a unitary integral body, preferably of die-cast construction. The connector has two distal ends. At one end, there is an opening for receiving a handle. The other end of the connector extends outwardly and is configured to mate with the head of a broom, mop, or similar manual tool. The body of the connector includes a floating web comprising a substantially flat section and laterally flanking slots. A bolt and wing nut are provided for joining the handle to the connector. As the wing nut is manually tightened against the connector, it applies a compressive force against the flat section of web, which flexes inward in relation to the handle, ultimately contacting the outside surface of the handle. Continued manual tightening ensures for a tight fit between handle and connector and rigidly secures the joint between these tool components.

Abstract: A push-lock handle assembly includes segments that are interconnected by axial movement using snap-in D-shaped tabs and recesses. Slits and grooves allow the tabs to deflect slightly inwardly during insertion. In another form there is a grip section, at least one pole section, and one accessory attachment section. The clamp-on handle assembly includes a slidable locking element which can be moved from an open position, wherein the handle assembly can be placed over a handle portion of the cleaning tool, to a locked position wherein the locking element clamps the handle assembly securely onto the handle portion of the cleaning tool. Advantageously, no external tools or fastening implements are required to secure the handle assembly to the handle portion of the cleaning tool. The handling assembly allows the user to use the cleaning tool to reach elevated areas or other areas that would be difficult to reach with the user holding directly onto the handle portion of the cleaning tool.

Abstract: Described are preferred sanitary cleaning devices that include a disposable cleaning head portion and a handle portion. The cleaning head is releasably connectable to the handle portion. The handle portion includes a pair of elongate rods laterally spaced relative to one another and capable of deflection toward one another. The rods present prongs that are selectively received within and removed from apertures provided in the cleaning head. To attach the cleaning head to the handle, the rods are deflected, for example by compressing a grip area, and the prongs are positioned adjacent the receiving apertures, and thereafter the rods are released. This causes the prongs to be received within the apertures, to connect the cleaning head to the handle. Preferred devices of the invention are advantageous in that the user need not touch the cleaning head or adjacent areas expected to contact materials from the toilet to achieve connection and removal of the head from the handle.

Abstract: A quick connect assembly provides a male portion with a pair of arms defining teeth on their outer surface, and a female portion having a sleeve, defining inward facing teeth corresponding to the outward facing teeth of the male portion. Insertion of a handle upon which the male portion has been secured into the female portion will cause the teeth of the male portion to engage the teeth of the female portion, securing the handle in its desired location.

Also included is a cleaning element mounting member having an annular toothed edge for complementary engagement with the toothed edge of the base member and an outer wall surface with a threaded portion for threaded engagement with the threaded portion of the locking member.

Abstract: A handle connector for securing the head of a cleaning tool to its handle is formed as a unitary integral body, preferably of die-cast construction. The connector has two distal ends. At one end, there is an opening for receiving a handle. The other end of the connector extends outwardly and is configured to mate with the head of a broom, mop, or similar manual tool. Abstract: Disclosed are a plurality of different fasteners that can connect a vacuum pole 14 to an automatic pool cleaner 12 so that the user can selectively relocate and direct the pool cleaner 12 to locations in a pool 18 that were previously missed or not yet cleaned. The vacuum pole 14 is an extending cylindrical pole having a throughbore 34 wherein a pole attachment 26 having a similar construction may be inserted and secured, being held structurally by a compression clip 44 having securing pins 32 that compress to then extend through securing holes 34, and frictionally by protrusions 38 that align into depressions 40. Secured within, and extending outward from the pole attachments is a universal ball joint 26 connected within a connection member 42 cavity 43 to provide a highly maneuverable surface wherein a selected fastener may be attached. To connect the pole attachment's mating fastener to the automatic pool cleaner, a fastener attachment plate 56 is provided.

Abstract: Disclosed is a device for use with a conventional automobile hand polisher for use in polishing of floors. The device includes a detachable handle having a storage bin and an actuation leaver. The handle provides control of a high speed polisher in a stand-up position, the storage bin provides an area for the placement of weight and for storing of all items upon when not in use. By use of the disclosed handle, a high speed lightweight orbital polisher can be employed for providing a high gloss finish to most floor surfaces.
