A first fusion bonded part extends in a cross direction traversing the predetermined direction to fusion-bond the fiber assembly and the nonwoven fabric, and a plurality of second fusion bonded parts is provided discontinuously in the cross direction to fusion-bond the fiber assembly and the nonwoven fabric. Each of the second fusion bonded parts has a first area and a second area. Abstract: The thermochromic foam cleaning pad of the invention is an artificial sponge made from a foam material that changes firmness or rigidity based on the temperature thereof. The foam also includes thermochromic additives therein that change the color of the foam based on the temperature. This provides a visual indication of the temperature of the foam.

Abstract: A grill tool, a pad usable with the grill tool, and a method of making and using the grill tool are disclosed. Such a grill tool is configured for cleaning a surface while maintaining the surface at a temperature up to the operating temperature of the surface. The grill tool includes a tool head and a tool handle. The tool head includes an attachment mechanism for removably attaching a cleaning pad to the head so as to present a major cleaning surface and opposite minor cleaning surfaces. In one embodiment, the cleaning sponge comprises a sponge body and a plurality of discrete fiber clusters embedded within the sponge body. Each fiber cluster is a matrix of interconnected fibers. In one embodiment, each fiber cluster is a three dimensional web of entangled fibers bonded to one another at their mutual contact points.

Abstract: A flushable hygienic wipe system is used to provide users with an indirect means to hold soft flushable wipes that improve the personal hygiene of a user's rectal and genital areas after using the bathroom. The system additionally provides users with a convenient disposal method by allowing users to safely discard the apparatus into a toilet bowl after use. The present invention comprises a most cleansing pad, a flushable applicator, and a dry cleansing pad. The flushable applicator additionally comprises a handle, a moist cleansing pad mount, and a dry cleansing pad mount. The handle additionally comprises a first section and a second section. The flushable applicator and the moist cleansing pad mount are able to retain their shape while the moist cleansing pad is attached through the use of a water insoluble polymer coating that inhibit moisture from degrading the hydro soluble cellulose mixture of the components.

Abstract: An applicator for use in cleaning surfaces, comprising: a bottom surface; a handle disposed above the bottom surface; means for releasably attaching a pad to the bottom surface; and an actuator, accessible from the handle, for actuating the means for releasably attaching the pad to the bottom surface. The means for releasably attaching preferably has a plurality of feet which move between a first position within the applicator to a second position outside the applicator. When the feet are in the second position they can contact a cleaning pad. The feet include means (such as a hook-and-loop fastener) for gripping the cleaning pad, so that when the feet are in the second position, which is the at-rest position, they grip the cleaning pad. When the feet are moved to the first position, they release the pad, allowing for the disposal thereof without having to touch the soiled pad.

Abstract: Described is a system and apparatus for stripping fluids from the surface of a passing vehicle. The apparatus includes an inflatable blower bag for attaching with a duct structure. The inflatable blower bag includes an entrance for receiving air from the support structure and an exit for directing air onto a passing vehicle. A flexible water stripping blade is positioned proximate the exit such that as the bag falls onto a passing vehicle, the flexible blade engages with the passing vehicle and strips water from the passing vehicle.

The fabric is sealed about the frame a first length of a fastener is secured to the inside face along the open edge of one layer with a complimentary length of fastener secured to the inside face of the second layer and extending beyond the edge to allow the open edges of each layer to abut each other and for the fasteners to engage and secure the fabric pocket about the edge of the frame.

Provided is a nonwoven fabric for cleaning and a production method therefor, comprising: a raw-material supply step in which between 80 and 90 parts by weight of cotton fibre and between 10 and 20 parts by weight of synthetic fibre are introduced; a step in which the introduced raw materials are mixed by using a blowing and scutching machine; a step in which a web is produced in the form of a sheet by using a carding machine to process the mixed raw materials; a step in which a fibrous web is produced by layering a plurality of the webs and then spraying a water jet so as to join the plurality of webs to each other; and a heat-treatment step in which the fibrous web is subjected to hot drying, and the synthetic fibre is softened and the bond with the cotton fibre is strengthened.
