Abstract: A diffusion restriction portion is provided to a washer nozzle of a washer device to be opened outside along a direction, in which diffusive flow of cleansing liquid causing self-oscillation is jetted as a sector-shaped diffusive flow in its widthwise direction of the vehicle. Besides, the jetted diffusive flow is restricted in diffusion in its vertical direction by the diffusion restriction portion to be regulated. The washer nozzle is arranged on a back surface side of a rear end edge of an engine hood of a vehicle, and wiper arms are arranged lengthwise along the widthwise direction of the vehicle when being in a stopped position. Even in this case, the jetted diffusive flow can be sprinkled over a wide range in the widthwise direction of the vehicle. Abstract: An apparatus and a method for operating a rain sensor (10) that outputs a sensor signal (18, 22) as a function of the wetting of a window (11) are proposed, having a controller (16) which as a function of the sensor signal (18, 22) outputs a control signal (28) to the rain sensor (10) for regulating the sensor signal (18, 22); for signal evaluation, the sensor signal (18, 22) and in addition the control signal (28) are used for tripping switching events of a device.

  • Patent number: 6240593
Abstract: In a wiper device for openable window glass, a pivot shaft having a wiper arm and blade assembly is rotatably held by the window glass. An actuator is fixed to the vehicle body for driving the pivot shaft and is engageable and disengageable with the pivot shaft so as to transmit and interrupt the driving force of the actuator to the pivot shaft. A controller is connected in circuit with the actuator for controlling an operation of the actuator. A switch element is connected in circuit with the controller for generating a first signal when the window glass is opened and a second signal when the window glass is closed. With the wiper device mentioned above, the controller controls the actuator in such a manner that driving the pivot shaft is stopped immediately upon receiving the first signal and is started with a certain time delay after receiving the second signal.

  • Patent number: 6195832
Abstract: A pressurizing structure for windshield wiper, including a frame body and a connecting member. The frame body is formed with a channel in which a wiper arm is inserted. A decorative block and a retaining plate are locked on the surface of the frame body. The retaining plate serves to increase the force application area of the wiper so as to keep the blade of the wiper arm parallel to the windshield. Fastening straps are passed through two side walls of the frame body for fastening the wiper arm. The bottom face of the frame body is disposed with a resilient support plate for more firmly fixing the wiper arm with the frame body. Slide channels are formed at the rear end of the frame body for slidably connecting with the connecting member two sides of which are formed with ribs. A cover body is connected to the rear end of the connecting member.
