  • Patent number: 8297334
Abstract: A sliding panel includes multiple connecting/adjacent carrier tracks such as two/three/four carrier tracks while connectors of each carrier track are disposed in opposite directions or at intervals. Thus the multiple connecting/adjacent carrier tracks slide in parallel under the same channel. Moreover, the positions of each connector on top surface of respective carrier track are in alternating arrangement so as to allow runners of multiple connecting/adjacent carrier tracks being mounted inside the same channel simultaneously. The runners of the connecting/adjacent carrier tracks move inside the channel of a rail at the same time and the connecting/adjacent carrier tracks slide in parallel under the same channel. Therefore, the number of channels of the rail is decreased and the amount of material used for producing the rail is reduced. Furthermore, the rail can be designed to have two-step inner and outer rails for adjusting length of the rail.

  • Patent number: 5934020
Abstract: An adjustable and pivotable window guard to be placed above a window inside a structure. The window guard provides an attractive appearance and excellent security. Hinge plates that have upwardly directed hinge tubes located thereon are secured on the inside wall proximal a window. A first window guard bracket having cooperating hinge bores is then placed on the hinge tubes so that it can pivot freely. The rectangular main central window guard is then placed over protruding members on the first window guard bracket and a second window guard bracket, also with similar protruding members, is inserted into the main central window guard on the opposite side from the first window guard bracket. Thus, all three of these elements are slidable horizontally in relationship to one another, which allows the user to adapt the device to variously sized windows.

  • Patent number: 5782039
Abstract: A two-section portable gate carries a rotatable control handle at an upper surface thereof for purposes of installation and removal of the gate in a doorway. When the handle is rotated to an extended state, the two sections of the gate can be moved relative to one another to fill the opening in the doorway. When the handle is moved to an intermediate position, the gate sections are locked together and further relative movement is not possible. When the handle is moved to a closed or locked position adjacent to an upper surface of the gate, the gate sections are forced apart a predetermined distance thereby creating normal forces, and in turn frictional forces, which lock the gate into position in the doorway and resist its removal. Spring loaded bumpers can be used on edges of the gate sections to take into account non-square openings.

Abstract: A new Bathtub Safety Guard for preventing a child from accessing or contacting the spigot or water control knobs provided in a bathtub. The device includes a first gate section and a second gate section slidably attached to the first gate section, wherein the first and second gate sections each have an upper portion and a lower portion whereby the effective combined width of the first arid second gate sections can be varied such that the lower portions fit within the width of a bathtub. The upper portions of the first and second gate sections extend over the sides of the bathtub. The upper portion of the first gate section abuts an enclosure wall provided on the back side of the bathtub. A plurality of suction cups are provided on the edges of the first and second gate sections for releasably attaching the first and second gate sections to the bathtub and the enclosure wall.
