Embracing Type Patents (Class 160/226)
  • Patent number: 10407979
Abstract: A free standing barrier includes two panels that slide parallel to each other. Each of the panels includes a lower outer corner portion on which is mounted a foot. The feet, in combination with each other, hold the barrier upright and make the barrier free standing. One foot engages one sliding panel and the other foot engages the other sliding panel. Each of the feet includes an outward extension that works as a stop against, for example, a doorjamb, to prevent the barrier from being pushed, such as by a dog, through the opening that the barrier is intended to close off.

  • Patent number: 8181689
Abstract: A telescoping gate can include a frame, a primary gate member connected to the frame in a manner such that the primary gate member can move relative to the frame, and a secondary gate member that is moveable with respect to both the primary gate member and the frame. The primary gate member can include at least one side wall, a top wall extending at an angle from a top of the side wall, and a bottom wall extending at an angle from a bottom of the side wall to create a cavity between the bottom wall, side wall and top wall. The secondary gate member can be located in the cavity of the primary gate member and configured to move relative to the primary gate member and the frame within that cavity. The bottom wall of the primary gate member includes a first roller/rail structure and the secondary gate member includes a bottom wall having a first roller/rail structure configured to mate with the first roller/rail structure of the primary gate member bottom wall.

  • Patent number: 6729668
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for dividing (41, 42) the storage space behind a seat, comprising a storage floor (21) having a horizontal hinge (22). The storage floor (21) can be unfolded (46) or folded up in relation to the vehicle floor. Said hinge (22) enables the storage floor (21) to alternate between being in a storage position and a non-storage position. The invention aims to facilitate structure and handling. In order to achieve this, the storage floor (21) is fixed to the rear (19) of the seat by means of the hinge (22), forming a unit comprising the storage floor (21) and seat, which can be pre-assembled. In the non-storage position, the storage floor (21) folds onto the rear side (19) of the back of the seat (12) and is fixed thereto by a retaining means (30). In the storage position (21.2), the storage floor (21) juts out of the back of the seat (12) and is held in position by means of supporting surfaces (28).
