  • Patent number: 11951891
Abstract: The present invention relates to an extruded rubber or plastic strip for adding it to the edges of textile and rubber vehicle mats with the purpose of keeping dust and grime inside of the mat, diminishing contamination of the vehicle's floor, and preventing the mat from slipping and obstructing pedal use, without need of replacing the whole mat. This strip is flexible enough to adapt to the shape of many rubber and textile vehicle mats. It has a slit in which the edge of the mat can be inserted to mount the accessory to the mat and an internal cavity, adjacent to the slit and higher than the slit, for imprisoning the edge of the mat and ensuring a firm grip. The exterior side is higher than the interior side, so that, once applied, the accessory stops the water, dust, or grime from exiting the mat.

  • Patent number: 11668097
Abstract: The panel includes a frame formed by profile members (6) and a plate member (10) extending therebetween. A textile (11) extends between the profile members which are formed by bending an edge area of a metal plate (15) forming the plate member (10), thereby forming said profile members in one piece with the plate member. Said edge area forms a rounded edge (16) connecting the plate member with the profile member. The profile member includes a first oblique section (21) of the metal plate forming an acute angle with the plate member and having a first end being connected to the rounded edge. The textile is bent about the rounded edge, and an edge element (24) attached along an edge (12) of the textile is adapted to slide along the first oblique section and is spring-biased in the direction of a second end (23) of the first oblique section.

Abstract: The invention is a wall for interior architecture, particularly for partitioning adjacent rooms, comprising a substantially rigid frame (2) suited to define an external perimeter surface (4) of the wall (1), and one pair of opposite faces (3) constrained to the rigid frame (2) and made of a flexible material. In particular, the opposite faces (3) comprise elastic constraining means (5) suited to maintain them tensioned and substantially parallel to a geometrical plane, while the rigid frame (2) and the opposite tensioned faces (3) delimit an internal hollow region (6).

Abstract: A blind includes a blind body including a frame and a shade having an end disposed at an outer edge of the frame; a plurality of brake wheels movably disposed in the frame; and a limiting mechanism disposed at an end of the frame. The limiting mechanism includes a resilient element movably disposed in the frame; a winding reel movably disposed in the frame and positioned beside the resilient element; a cord reel movably disposed in the frame and driven by the winding reel; and a plurality of tractional cords coupled to the cord reel, passingly disposed at the brake wheels, and connected to the shade. Lifting or lowering of the shade is effectuated by the limiting mechanism and the brake wheels in conjunction with the external force exerted by the user, such that the blind is advantageously characterized by cordless control, ease of use, and enhanced user safety.

Abstract: A frame includes longitudinal members secured to one another. The longitudinal members support a spline that is normally open in a first position to provide a cavity. A fabric, such a mesh screen, is arranged over the frame so that the perimeter of the screen is received within the cavities of the longitudinal members. A movable platen is actuated to engage the spline. The splines are forced into the cavities to a second position in which the perimeter of the screen is pinched between the splines and the longitudinal members. A radius nose of the splines is retained in a channel of the longitudinal members securing the screen without tearing it when under load.

Abstract: A frame has a circumferential slot and a circumferential chamber. Each of a plurality of similarly configured clips has a base and a leg. A screen has an attachment region through the slot and within the chamber. The leg of each clip is in contact with the attachment region of the screen. An elongated flexible spline is located within the chamber in contact with the attachment region of the screen. The clip is adapted to hold the screen in position with respect to the frame until the spline is inserted into the chamber in contact with the attachment region of the screen for securement purposes.

The shade rail assembliy engages a frame. An inner and outer lens also engage the frame or elements engaged with the frame. A drive system, either electric or manual, moves the shade between an opened and closed position. The drive system includes a drive sprocket, a metal link chain, and an idler sprocket. Insulation may be provided on one or more elements of the modular window unit to help keep down noise and vibration.

Abstract: A system for securing a truck bed cover includes a pair of vertical side rails clamped to the bed railing of a pickup truck. A first one of a pair of horizontal side rails is attached along the front side of the truck bed and the second one of the pair of horizontal side rails is attachable via a latching mechanism along the rear. The cover is attached along respective front and rear edges to each of the horizontal side rails, and is attachable along respective side edges to the vertical side rails, preferably, using a hook-and-loop fastener. Tensioning devices are employed to keep the cover taut and even on both sides.

Abstract: An insect screen of increased invisibility can be created by using small wire diameter elements and/or increasing the mesh density of the screen. The combination of small wire diameter and increased mesh density provide a screen with a higher Dalquist Rating that becomes invisible at closer distances. A “sweet spot” exists at which a screen with a combination high mesh density and small wire diameter is less visible, while still providing the strength, durability, and quality desired. Further, screens with properties in proximity to this sweet spot also provide a marked increase in invisibility.

Abstract: Provided herein is a non-stratified, or homogeneous, non-woven composite having (a) strength-imparting fibers of a relatively high denier and (b) binder fibers of a lower denier that adhere the composite together and that form a smooth, stiff skin on the outer surfaces of the composite. In one instance, the strength-imparting fibers are staple fibers and the binder fibers are bicomponent fibers having a low melt component. In a variation, the composite also contains a small percentage by weight (that is, less than 20%) of flame retardant fibers that impart flame resistant properties to the composite. Preferably, all of the fibers are comprised of the same polymeric material (e.g., polyester), so that the composite is recyclable. The resulting composite exhibits excellent flame retardance, strength, and stiffness, as well as having a smooth surface for attachment of a decorative fabric or other material. A process for manufacturing such composites is also provided.
