Abstract: A package delivery system for secured delivery of packages without the need for a person to be present to accept them in person is disclosed. The package delivery system includes a vertical structure such as a wall, a door, and a garage door; a package delivery door dispositioned within the vertical structure; and one or more user devices in communication with the package delivery door via a network.

Abstract: An entry device that is attachable to a door that pivots relative to a door frame to separate an outer area from an inner area is disclosed. The device has a compartment made of a flexible material having a first side and a second side. The flexible material has a front surface that faces the outer area and a back surface that extends into the inner area. At least one first attachment point is disposed along the first side that attaches the compartment to the door and at least one second attachment point is disposed along the second side that attaches the compartment to the door frame. According to the present invention, upon opening of the door, the compartment is configured to allow partial entry of an object to the inner area and prevent full entry by a person from the outer area.

Abstract: Implementations of detachable window systems may include: a main panel including one or more windows therein, the one or more windows in the main panel each having a window casing, a screen, and a window opening mechanism; an upper panel hingedly coupled to an upper side of the main panel; and a lower panel hingedly coupled to a lower side of the main panel opposing the upper side. The window opening mechanism on each of the one or more windows may be used to open the window to permit air to flow through the screen.

Abstract: A mounting system and method for security screens for use with double-hung windows and other windows having an integral screen track is disclosed. The mounting system and method according to the present invention reduces materials cost for manufacture of security screens while improving aesthetics of the installation and allowing installation to be accomplished from the interior side of the window, and permits installation of security screens either at the construction site or during window manufacture, while preserving the window manufacturer's warranty. Exemplary embodiments both with and without a subframe are described.

Abstract: A pet door includes an elongated, rectangular panel having a first side edge hingedly attached to the free, pivotal side edge of an exterior door. The panel is formed of an upper section that is foldable onto a lower section to allow the device to be compactly transported or stored. The lower section includes an opening having a movable hatch positioned therein that allows a pet to freely pass through the panel. The upper section of the panel includes a triangular flap hingedly attached to a top edge that is securable to the upper edge of the exterior door. Accordingly, the exterior door is partially opened and the panel is pivoted against the door frame to block the space formed therebetween. The flap is secured to the top edge of the door to overlay the triangular space formed between the exterior door and frame header. Therefore, the panel forms a secure barrier between the open door and the exterior while allowing a pet to freely enter and exit the building.

Abstract: Disclosed therein is a window having a ventilation structure which can ventilate the indoor air smoothly without regard to weather conditions, such as, yellow dust, rainy season, or localized heavy rain. The window includes: a window frame having upper and lower openings which are divided by a horizontal member; and upper and lower window panes respectively mounted in the upper and lower openings for selectively opening and closing the upper and lower openings, wherein at least a pair of the horizontal members are spaced apart from each other in the window frame, and a ventilation hole is disposed between the horizontal members. The window can ventilate the indoor air smoothly without regard to weather conditions, such as, yellow dust, rainy season, or localized heavy rain, and prevent rain from coming into the room through the open window.

Abstract: The present pet door panel or module includes an interior pocket flap assembly cassette opening and an external frame forming a security panel track permitting a flap assembly cassette and security panel to be slidably received or removed to facilitate changing the height of the portal opening in the pet door panel or module to accommodate various size pets in the field by the consumer without the need for tools.

Abstract: A door barrier with pet portal is provided for temporary use and installation with a swing hung door. The door barrier includes a frame positionable within the opening of a door frame, and a flexible barrier extending from the frame that is attachable to a door along an upper and outward edge thereof for extending across the doorway of the door when partially held open. The flexible barrier includes an opening permitting the passage of a pet therethrough.

The machine tool further has a work spindle (18) for machining the workpieces (16) and a slide (34) which carries the work spindle (18) and is traversable in a longitudinal direction relative to the device (15), a respective cover (25), variable in length in the longitudinal direction (x), for the work space (17) being provided on the slide (34) on each of its sides, said cover (25) being connected with its respective first end to the slide (34) and with its respective second end to a side wall (21, 22; 51) of the work space (17). Each cover (25) variable in length has a respective rear wall (26) and a respective top (27), whereby the top (27) is connected to the rear wall (26) in a detachable, push-in, manner. A further flexible cover (31) is arranged in front of the slide (34) to protect the work space (17) at the bottom.

Abstract: A slider assembly includes an axle device having a base with an engaging member for coupling with another engaging member on a slat. The base includes an axle on a top thereof. The axle includes a top portion having a slit, forming two resilient tabs spaced by the slit. The axle further includes a bottom portion having an enlarged section. A slider includes a seat having a plurality of rollers rotatably mounted thereto. The seat includes an axle hole having a lower opening. The axle hole includes a retaining shoulder on an inner periphery thereof. The axle is inserted into the axle hole by resiliency provided by the slit. The enlarged section of the axle is engaged with the retaining shoulder, allowing the axle to rotate about an axis. The axle has a fixed position along the axis.

Abstract: The entrance security door apparatus has the object of providing security for the receiver in a condominium, etc., when the receiver must confirm an unexpected visitor, etc., by opening and closing a door such as entrance door. A locking tool is provided so that the door can be opened and closed to the side end side of a door opening frame, wherein the security door apparatus comprises: one side end part of an auxiliary door having a predetermined narrow width is connected to the inner side of the open/close side of the door and the other side end part of the auxiliary door is connected to the inner part of the side end of the open/close side of the door opening frame, and the auxiliary door is linked in such a manner that. When the door is opened, the auxiliary door functions as a barrier in the opening part between the door and the door opening frame. The auxiliary door is formed to have a lattice-shape shape, etc., so that the receiver can visually confirm the outside from the interior.

Abstract: An ventilated gate for use with an overhead garage door. The ventilated gate is an added feature to a conventional overhead garage door and provides ventilation to a garage where such ventilation is unavailable through a conventional overhead garage door. The ventilated gate is in a flat position on a driveway in front of the garage door when not in use and in a raised position between the driveway and the bottom of the garage door when in use.

Abstract: The present invention is a garage door system having durable, yet cost effective characteristics. In one embodiment, a garage door system is comprised of a frame and a garage door. The frame comprises a top jamb and two side jambs. Each side jamb has upper- and lower-jamb portions in an end-to-end relationship. The upper-jamb portions are constructed from a first material and the lower-jamb portions include a durable material made from at least one material different from the first material. The garage door comprises an upper portion consisting of a first material and a lower portion secured to the upper portion wherein the lower portion includes a durable material made from at least one material different from the first material. Associated hardware may also be added.

Abstract: A hamper/sorter (15) for storing and sorting laundry which loads from the front with one or more openings is described. The hamper/sorter (15) is comprised of the main body and two moveable doors, one upper flexible door (5) that slides vertically and a lower rigid door (4) that can be stowed horizontally under the hamper/sorter (15). During operation, the doors adjust the front openings to allow for small or large laundry items to be loaded and unloaded for storing or washing. The upper and lower door edges that meet together are formed at an angle opposite of each other so that the upper door (5) overlaps the lower door (4). A stop plate (14) is installed on the upper door (5) to keep the doors in the normally closed position. This invention is versatile enough to be used as a hamper or sorter in any location that permits its mounting. One or more of these hamper/sorters (15) can also be mounted together in a horizontal row to provide a sorting system.

Abstract: Applicant discloses a modular window shade system for an aircraft or other vehicle. The window shade of the window is enclosed with an outer and inner lens and mounted to a frame. A handle is provided and a mechanism is provided where in moving a handle horizontally mounted to the frame will cause the shade to move vertically. The mechanism between the handle and the shade provides a mechanical advantage such that the handle moves a distance greater then the vertical travel of the shade.

Abstract: An auxiliary screened gate which is approximately the same size as a door panel in a garage door for attachment to the lower edge of the garage door. The auxiliary screened gate will allow light and air to pass therethrough. The upper edge of the screened gate is attached to the lower edge of the garage door. Hinges are employed to attach the screened gate to the garage door. A hook and eye latch is provided for securing the screened gate in its non-operative folded position on the lower interior of the garage door. A hinged mechanism is used to allow the screened door to be pivotally operated on the lower edge of the garage door.

Abstract: A window for use in buildings or other enclosed areas is structured to open horizontally relative to the building or window casement and comprises a screen-like enclosure between the window casement and the window frame which limits the amount of moisture or dust that can enter through the window when in an open position. Further, the window is particularly structured to provide light, ventilation and an unobstructed view while providing a high degree of security to prevent breakage or burglary.

Abstract: A new garage door screen for allowing for a garage to be ventilated. Also included is a screen door having a generally rectangular configuration. The screen door is defined by a peripheral frame including opposed long upper and lower members and opposed short side members. The peripheral frame has a mesh screen extending therewithin. The long upper member is hingedly secured to a bottom edge of a garage door. The screen door hangs below the bottom edge of the garage door in an open orientation.

Abstract: There is disclosed a window unit, comprising a frame, a sash mounted in the frame for movement between a closed position adjacent the frame to an open position in which a space is defined between the sash and the frame, a recess in the frame adjacent the sash, and screen means attached to the sash and dimensioned to fill the space when the sash is in the open position.

Abstract: An apparatus for adapting a sliding screen door for hingable mounting to a sliding glass door structure includes a pair of hinges mounted to one side of the screen door and to one side of a fixed door panel of the sliding glass door structure permitting the screen door to assume a position closed against the sliding glass door structure frame or away therefrom. A filler strip is positioned between the fixed door panel and hinged side of the screen door to provide an insect tight seal therebetween.

Abstract: An air screen for vehicle sunroofs extends between the leading edges of an open sunroof panel and the vehicle's roof to regulate intake air flow and prevent potentially dangerous projectiles from being carried into the vehicle's interior along with the air flow. The air screen is formed from flexible plastic material and deflects into a storage position when the sunroof panel is pivoted from an open scoop position to a closed position. The air screen may be secured to either the sunroof panel or the roof and consists of two halves slidable relative to each other so as to permit regulation of the air flow therethrough. The air screen also functions as an air deflector to prevent wind buffeting effects when the panel is completely removed from the roof.

Abstract: A conventional doorway, of the kind capable of opening in one direction only, is adapted to resist forceful entry by a caller, even after initial opening of the door by an occupant, due to the presence of a generally rectangular and at least partially translucent closure member which is secured to either the door or the door frame, is movable towards and away from an operative position in which it engages respectively either the door frame or the door, and includes means allowing it to be releasably secured in said operative position to prevent opening of the door through more than a predetermined angle, the closure member then bridging the gap which would otherwise have appeared between the door and the door frame so that entry through the doorway by the caller is denied until said means securing the closure member has been released by the occupant.
