    Abstract: A smoking skewer for imparting a smoke flavoring to an interior of a food item is disclosed. The smoking skewer includes an elongate hollow rod, a food penetrating point at the distal end and a handle is at the proximal end. An opening is also provided at the proximal end of the elongate hollow rod. A plurality of apertures are disposed in a spaced apart relation along the elongate hollow rod are dimensioned to convey a smoke source from the interior cavity to the exterior surface of the elongate hollow rod and the interior of a food item carried thereon. A mesh sleeve is carried within the interior cavity to contain ash and particulates from the smoke source. The smoke source may be a smoking stick, formed of a combustible material to generate a smoke flavoring combustion by product.

An upper perforated flexible tensile fabric diaphragm is disposed in the upper portion of the tank, and a low-density liquid conduit extends from outside the tank into communication with the upper portion of the tank above the upper diaphragm. A lower perforated flexible tensile fabric diaphragm is disposed in the lower part of the tank, and a high-density liquid conduit extends from outside the tank shell into communication with the lower portion of the tank below the lower liquid diaphragm. The diaphragms minimize internal mixing through thermoclines as liquid is introduced into and/or discharged from the tank, and reduce overall costs of tank installations and operations.

To establish the spacing between shell layers, an edge clamp may be operatively coupled to an edge portion on at least one side of each shell layer. The shell layers may have sufficient flexibility and/or may be sufficiently displaceable relative to each other to allow the insulation to be installed or removed from the spacecraft component. One or more restraints may be provided in the space between the shell layers for restricting the relative lateral and/or transverse movement between shell layers for preventing contact. Additive manufacturing may be employed to fabricate the insulation and integrate features.

In one embodiment, the underwater insect attractant device contains organisms such as mycelia for generating the carbon dioxide. Insects are attracted by the carbon dioxide generation device to reproduce in the water extermination zone, using the treated water to lay eggs, and grow larvae and pupae for the subject insects. A solar-powered water pump device is configured to direct the flow of water from the water extermination zone toward filters of the water pump device to trap and kill insect progeny including eggs, larvae, and pupae.
