Sectional Draft Bar Patents (Class 172/626)
  • Patent number: 9629300
Abstract: A tracking adjustment arrangement for an agricultural tillage implement includes a main frame section, a pull hitch coupled with and extending forward from the main frame section, and a pair of wing sections respectively pivotally coupled with opposite lateral sides of the main frame section. The tracking adjustment arrangement includes a pair of draft members and a pair of turnbuckles. Each draft member is configured for coupling between the pull hitch and a respective one of the wing sections. Each turnbuckle is coupled with an end of a respective draft member.

  • Patent number: 6076613
Abstract: A forwardly-foldable agricultural implement includes a center frame supported by wheels and extending generally transverse to the direction of travel, and a pair of wing sections. Each wing section has an intermediate portion pivotally connected to the center frame by a foldable frame and being supported by a wheel. The foldable frame includes a pair of elongated wing support members having one end connected to the center frame and another end connected to the respective wing section. The foldable frame also includes a pair of hitch arms with one end connected to a two-direction pivot knuckle on a three-point tractor hitch and another end pivotally connected to the respective wing section and its wing support member. This structure provides a method of changing a foldable implement between a wide, field operating configuration and a narrower, road transport configuration without the necessity of a telescopic tongue member.

  • Patent number: 4993499
Abstract: A wing packer has a middle frame section and two wing frame sections to which rollers are attached. The packer can be converted to a transport position by a hydraulic system which lifts the middle section and pivots the wing sections upward. The rollers are connected to the frame about a two-axis pivot which facilitates their remaining in contact with the ground on uneven terrain.

  • Patent number: 4137852
Abstract: A forwardly foldable agricultural planter includes a hitch shiftable as wing sectons are moved between transport and operational configurations. Rigid link tow bars pivot about centrally positioned pivots permitting the hitch to be horizontally shifted between transport and operational positions to thereby realize positive drawn implement control in both configurations. A telescoping drawbar provides further implement support and control and either manual or automatic latching mechanisms can be provided to secure the folded wing sections in position.

  • Patent number: 4127178
Abstract: An attachment for an earth working apparatus having a mobile frame with central and wing sections, each with forward and rear frame members and a plurality of earth working members thereon. The attachment includes a plurality of reach arms for each section and having a forward end portion thereof connected to the forward and rear frame members of the respective frame section. A vertically adjustable hanger unit is swingably mounted on each reach arm and has a tool bar carrying support member swingably mounted thereon. Each hanger unit is constructed so as to permit an elongated, adjustable drag tension spring to have unusually great length such as by allowing a lower end portion to be connected to the respective support member rearwardly of the hanger unit and an upper end portion to be connected to the respective reach arm forwardly of the hanger unit.
