Abstract: An inertial rotation device includes: a central member with an axial direction, a first engaging portion on the peripheral surface of the central member, an inertia member with a mounting hole, and a second engaging portion on the wall of the mounting hole. The inertia member is mounted around the central member and can be displaced between an engaging position and a released position along the axial direction of the central member. The inertia member can rotate together with the central member when at the engaging position, where the two engaging portions are engaged with each other, and cannot rotate together with the central member when at the released position, where the two engaging portions are disengaged from each other. The magnitude of the torque of the inertial rotation device can be changed by switching the inertia member to the engaging position or the released position.

The motor assembly drives the transmission assembly and the transmission assembly includes a cylindrical gear train for providing an output at a first rotating speed or a second rotating speed lower than the first rotating speed. The impact assembly includes a striking member that is driven by the transmission assembly and an output member. The striking member of the impact assembly provides an increasing torque to the output member intermittently to drive the ratchet assembly.

Abstract: A striking mechanism of a pneumatic tool has a drive shaft with striking rod section, a hammering frame base sleeved on the exterior of the striking rod section, two swing hammers pivoted into the hammering frame base in a staggered state, and a reversing actuator for controlling the swing hammer's swinging direction. Two striking lugs are in integrally protruded on opposite sides of the striking rod section in a staggered state. Two reinforcing lugs are integrally protruded on opposite sides of the striking rod section and integrally connected with two striking lugs, respectively, in an axial extension state along the drive shaft. Slip guide edges are formed on two opposite sides of the protruded end of each reinforcing lug, allowing override slip of the reinforcing lug and corresponding arc-shaped hammer block on the swing hammer without generating striking action.

Abstract: A percussive augmenter bit includes a connection shaft for mounting the bit onto a rotary drill. In a first modality, an actuator percussively drives the bit, and an electric slip-ring provides power to the actuator while being rotated by the drill. Hammering action from the actuator and rotation from the drill are applied directly to material being drilled. In a second modality, a percussive augmenter includes an actuator that operates as a hammering mechanism that drives a free mass into the bit creating stress pulses that fracture material that is in contact with the bit.

Abstract: An impact wrench is provided that can mitigate vibrations in the axial direction without reducing the rotary impact force of hammers. The hammers are composed of a primary hammer fitted to the outer circumference of a spindle and a cylindrical secondary hammer that is disposed so as to cover the primary hammer and that rotates integrally with the primary hammer. Furthermore, the secondary hammer is held by a center holding means in a state in which the rotational axis of the secondary hammer is coincident with the axis of the spindle in order to prevent run-out movement. With the use of the hammer configuration of the present invention, the mass of the primary hammer can be decreased compared to that of the secondary hammer, and therefore it is possible to mitigate vibrations in the axial direction while maintaining the rotary impact force.

Abstract: The post driver with limited movement floating post anvil does not rely heavily upon the skill of the operator to efficiently drive posts. The post anvil is allowed to move up and down in relation to the driver, but its movement is limited by both lower and upper fixed barriers. Since the movement is limited, the operator can position the driver upon the post allowing the full weight of the driver framework/carrier machine to rest upon the post. The post would push the floating post anvil upward only to the point at which the upper fixed barrier prevents further upward movement of the floating post anvil. Thus, once the floating post anvil abuts the upper fixed barrier, substantially the entire weight of the post driver is resting on the post.
