The video feed can show an area that includes handwritten text, e.g., a whiteboard. The server can receive the video feed from the capturing device and perform various processes on the video. For example, the server can perform a voice recognition, text recognition, handwriting recognition, face recognition and/or object recognition technique on the captured video.

Abstract: A system and method for determining a dynamic sample of client devices in a distributed system environment are provided. Coordinates for areas based on geospatial input are received. A predicate function that selects a dynamic sample of client devices in the one or more areas based on the received coordinates is determined. The client devices are selected based on the predicate function. A request for information is queried from the selected client devices and is processed.
Abstract: A method and system for authenticating a device, board, assembly or system includes obtaining or processing test/scan information provided via extraction of ECID or other unique identifying information regarding a board. Abstract: In one embodiment, a touch sensor includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a spacer layer located between the first electrode and the second electrode. One of the first electrode and the second electrode is a drive electrode to which a drive signal is applied. The other one of the first electrode and the second electrode is a receiving electrode that receives the drive signal by a mutual capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode. When an external pressure is applied to the first electrode through a display, the first electrode is concavely bent toward the second electrode. The mutual capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode changes according to a distance between the first electrode and the second electrode. The magnitude of the external pressure according to the change of the capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode is detected.

The current generation circuit includes a capacitor and generates a reference current corresponding to the amount of electric charge of the capacitor. The amount of electric charge can be controlled by a voltage input to the capacitor, and thus the range of output currents for current generation can be made wide. The reference current is used for testing the plurality of current sensing circuits. The IC is used for a source driver IC of a display panel, for example. In this case, currents flowing through pixels in the display panel can be sensed by the plurality of current sensing circuits.

Abstract: A touch sensitive surface has emitters and detectors arranged around at least a portion of a periphery of the touch sensitive surface. The emitters produce optical beams that are received by the detectors. Touch events disturb the beams propagating toward the detectors. Variations in the beams resulting from the touch events are captured and are used to determine the touch events. A stylus disturbs beams when in contact with the touch sensitive surface. The stylus includes a control that can change the stylus from a default state to an alternative state, where the stylus disturbs the beams differently in each state. A controller determines the state of the stylus based on the beams received by the detectors.

Abstract: A low cost and efficient damage detection method is developed by introducing a new piezoelectric composite coating combined with a self-powered wireless signal transmission module. The new piezoelectric composite coating composed with a piezoelectric layer, an electrical conductive layer and an insulator, is designed as the sensor and to be easily applied on rough surfaces of engineering structures, such as concrete and the welded joint area. An energy harvesting circuit and an automatic electronic switch controlled by the piezoelectric coating sensor are designed to power and control the wireless signal transmitter sending warning signals of the damage occurrence. Methodology is explained in detail, and successful detection of the occurrence of crack propagation on a beam structure has been realized through experimental testing.
Abstract: There is provided a parallel sensing touch control device including a capacitive sensor array processed by differential unit. In one detection interval, the device is concurrently conducting more than one sensing electrode of the capacitive sensor array so as to reduce a scanning interval of the capacitive sensor array. If the top layer display does not have sufficient relevance, the method makes the top layer display control transparent so that the user continues to interact with the current application in the graphical user interface while maintaining the top layer in visual order. Abstract: An illumination device is provided with: a planar first electrode; a planar second electrode arranged to face the first electrode; a light emitting layer which is disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode and emits light in accordance with a current flowing between the first electrode and the second electrode; a first sensor that is electrically connected to the first electrode and detects an electrostatic capacitance of the first electrode; and a second sensor that is electrically connected to the second electrode and detects an electrostatic capacitance of the second electrode.
Abstract: A display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, pixel structures, a sensing structure, a display medium layer, a first control structure, a second control structure, and color filter patterns. The sensing structure includes a first photosensor and a second photosensor. The display medium layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate includes a first modulation portion overlapping a first sensing active device of the first photosensor and a second modulation portion overlapping a second sensing active device of the second photosensor. The first control structure is disposed between the first substrate and the display medium layer. The second control structure is disposed between the second substrate and the display medium layer. The first sensing active device and the second sensing active device respectively overlap a first color filter pattern and a second color filter pattern among the color filter patterns.
