Abstract: An electrically assisted street scooter includes a handlebar, a deck, front and back wheels, a battery pack integral with the deck, an electrical motor for driving at least one of the wheels, and a drive circuit for controlling electrical supply to the electrical motor from the battery pack. The drive circuit includes a switch for setting the drive circuit in a low power-mode where the electrical motor is not powered when the switch is off, or for setting the drive circuit in a drive mode where the electrical motor can be powered when the switch is on. An auto-power on circuit automatically switches the switch on when a user pushes the street scooter. An auto-power off circuit automatically switches the switch off when the scooter is not used during a predetermined duration. The level of electrical assistance is determined based on the peak value after each leg push.

Abstract: Incremental automotive transportation to a person wearing a pair of identical motorized shoes is described. Each shoe houses in its sole an assembly of electrically powered set of wheels clasped over longitudinally by a conveyor from heel to toe. The assembly, skewed at an adjustable angle from the longitude towards the instep, is initially in an elevated no-contact position with an underlying surface. When lowered and switched on, the assembly operates and transports the shoe forward, which is in contact with the surface through it only. The assembly is designed to neutralize forces acting to disrupt its operation during walking while the sole is equipped to provide stability by absorbing impacts. Further, multiple assemblies can be housed in one sole wherein some of them can be tilted, twisted, reflexively twisted, recessed and all have electronic sensors. Additionally, all electro-mechanical operations can be remote and computer controlled.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to a motorized skateboard. Embodiments allow users to utilize a power supply, such as a rechargeable battery pack, that is remote with respect to the skateboard. Embodiments can have the battery mounted on, under, partially or wholly enclosed within, and/or integral with the skateboard deck. Embodiments can have a removable and interchangeable motor mount, which attaches to the hanger to align the motor with the drive train. The drive wheel adaptor (hub) allows the user to modify standard skateboard wheels to use as drive wheels for the electric skateboard. The strength of the bond between the drive hub and the wheel enables the skateboard to utilize more torque without failure. Embodiments can allow users to have wiring connections at the front and/or back of the skateboard deck. Board-integrated wiring techniques can also be utilized. The electronics can be attached using brackets that fit the industry standard bolt pattern.

Abstract: There is provided an electric motorized skateboard. The skateboard includes a skateboard deck and wheels. The skateboard includes a first actuator with a footpad and a force sensor. The footpad is generally disposed at a deck top surface. The footpad and the force sensor are cooperatively sized and configured to translate force applied to the footpad to the force sensor. The force sensor is sized and configured to output a sensed signal in response to application of force upon the force sensor. The skateboard includes a controller in electrical communication with the force sensor. The controller receives the sensed signal and generates a motor input signal in response to the sensed signal. The skateboard includes an electric motor in mechanical communication with at least one of the wheels. The motor has a variable electric motor output in response to a value of a motor input signal.
