Abstract: A barrier assembly includes an upright frame that supports a barrier including a pair of slidably coupled barrier members that are adjustable in length and are supported by a stirrup as well as the frame. The frame attached to the barrier members to support the barrier members is able to attach to a supporting surface. The frame extends upwardly from the supporting surface to support the barrier members at a position spaced from the supporting surface. The frame has a clamp device that engages the members to prevent sliding movement between the barrier members and thereby removably fixes the barrier members at a desired length and fixes the barrier members to the frame.

Abstract: Disclosed is a modular platform comprising a horizontal frame that is made of four angle irons and is devised and sized to receive and support a grid on which one or more persons can stand. Four supporting legs, each made of an angle iron, are respectively connected to the four corners of the frame, and extend below the same in order to maintain it at a distance from the ground. Reinforcing pieces are positioned below the frame and connected to the supporting legs for reinforcing the platform. The platform also comprises at least two thin holding bars extending horizontally between two opposite sides of the frame, in order to support the grid on the frame while preventing it from staying directly on the angle irons forming the frame. Each supporting leg has a lower end provided with a supporting foot that is adjustable in height, and has a lower end of a round shape to reduce the contact surface with the ground. The platform structure makes the platform very easy to clean.

  • Patent number: 7975803
Abstract: The invention relates to dismantlable scaffolding comprising accessible platforms on a plurality of levels and a multitude of vertical supports carrying said platforms. Said vertical supports preferably consist of several sections which can be fixed one on top of the other, are arranged at a distance from each other, and are preferably connected by means of platform bars at predetermined vertical distances. Said supports carry perforated anchor plates at predetermined vertical distances. Connecting railing elements can be applied to adjacent vertical supports. In order to apply at least one railing element above a platform, at least the highest railing elements of a level can be applied to the associated perforated anchor plate by means of a railing adapter element. When applied to the perforated anchor plate, said adapter carries a railing holding element above the anchor plate.

Abstract: A scaffolding side frame (10) has at least one generally horizontally extending tube (11), a pair of vertically extending side tubes (12) depending from the horizontal tube, and four fastening members (17), one adjacent each corner of the frame, for securing the side frame to a respective adjacent structural element of an associated scaffold structure so that the upper part of the side frame provides a safety rail for an operator standing on a support platform of a given level of a scaffolding structure and the lower part of the side frame extends below the support platform of said given level of the scaffold structure. The two lower fastening members are hook-shaped and the hooks have a fastening latch (19). The latch (19) is displaceable to a retracted position in which the hook can be snapped over the adjacent structural element of the structure.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a device for personal protection at such scaffolds that consist of scaffold posts (5, 6) and lying scaffold elements (7, 8, 15), coupled between the posts. The protective device consists of two protective post (26, 27) and a protective rail (32) with a variable length that extends between the protective posts. The protective rail is equipped with joint devices in their ends for a joined connection between the protective posts. The protective posts are equipped with coupling devices (28-31) for releasable connection with the scaffold. Thus the protective posts and the associated protective rail may gradually be moved between different vertical positions due to the need for protection.
