The first and the second portion of the item of luggage are adapted to be pivoted relative to each other such that the body of the item of luggage can be opened or closed, at least one handle which is connected to the second portion of the item of luggage, at least one first and one second frame element, the first frame element is arranged at an edge of the first portion of the item of luggage and the second frame element is arranged at an edge of the second portion of the item of luggage, and at least the first frame element comprises a first recess.

Abstract: A translucent reconfigurable bag designed to fold into a bag from a flattened member. The translucent reconfigurable bag includes a planar member having an inner side and an outer side, and composed of a plurality of panels, wherein each panel is translucent. The outer side and the inner side of the planar member each have at least one fastener with the two fasteners designed to secure to one another. The inner fastener and outer fastener are designed to allow the plurality of panels to fold and affix to one another, thereby forming an interior volume having an opening in communication with the interior volume. A light is disposed on one of the panels and is designed to activate when spoken to. In this way, a user is able to create a bag from an easily transportable planar member and quickly find items inside said bag.

Abstract: A tool pouch, tool bag, utility pouch, or similar, comprising one or more individual tool pouches, used by tradesmen in difficult and/or dangerous environments where it would be convenient and preferred for safety reasons for the tool pouches to remain closed or remain open without manual intervention. Tool pouches within a tool pouch are configured with bi-stable hinges in which an over-center cam-spring arrangement alternatively maintains either a fully-closed or a fully-open configuration until an intentional opening or closing action by a user. Individual tool pouches within a tool pouch may be opened or closed independently of the open or closed positions of other tool pouches.

Abstract: A code combination lock comprises a lock body whereto a first latch hook and a second latch hook are connected, a first catch 18 fixed in the first opening direction of the case, a second catch 19 fixed in the second opening direction of the case. When locked, the first latch hook engages with the first catch and the second latch hook engages with the second catch. The code combination lock further comprises a push module, a drive module, a lock blade and a code module. The code module is arranged to push the lock blade to fix or unfix the push module such that the push module could push the drive module to lock/unlock. With this kind of code combination lock, one can lock/unlock without having to put in code repeatedly.

Abstract: A storage container includes deflectable walls secured to each other and a bottom wall to form an interior. At least one of the walls defines an access cover at least partially detachable from adjacent walls to form an opening into the interior. Each of the walls includes an outer layer of a flexible ballistic material, and an inner layer of an insulation material. A first strap extends about a perimeter of the storage container including at least the access cover and the bottom wall. A second strap secures the storage container to a vehicle. The second strap connected to at least one of the walls. A flap is connected to one of the walls and is positioned over the access cover by rotation about an arc of rotation which is orthogonal to an arc of rotation of the access cover. The flap is secured using a third strap.

Abstract: A zipper for a luggage includes a first tape, a second tape and interlockable teeth. The first tape has a shielding section for covering an end edge of a first half shell of the luggage, and a mounting section and an extension section connected with the shielding section respectively. The second tape has a shielding section for covering an end edge of a second half shell of the luggage, and a mounting section and an extension section connected with the shielding section of the second tape respectively. The teeth are mounted on the extension sections of the first and second tapes in two rows. By means of using the zipper in production of the luggage, the process of making the luggage can be simplified and the zipper can be well aligned with the half shells of the luggage, enhancing the yield rate in production of the luggage.

Abstract: A luggage carrier for transporting a plurality of beverage bottles, including a substantially rectangular-shaped housing including a bottom panel, a top panel, a front panel, a back panel, a right panel and a left panel that define an interior hollow compartment having an interior length, width and height. The luggage carrier further includes a pre-formed bottle shipping container having an exterior length, width and height substantially equal to the interior length, width and height of the interior hollow compartment. The pre-formed bottle shipping container is positioned within the interior hollow compartment. The pre-formed bottle shipping container contains a plurality of cavities each configured and dimensioned to accept a beverage bottle. A method of transporting a plurality of beverage bottles is also disclosed.

Abstract: Provided is a traveling bag that can be folded to a small volume so as to be stored in a small space for reducing transportation and storage costs. The traveling bag has front and rear sides, and four peripheral sides connecting the front and rear sides. The traveling bag includes: first and second zippers each configured to connect three edges of each of two mutually facing peripheral sides of the four peripheral sides to one of the front and rear sides and edges of the other two peripheral sides, wherein when the first and second zippers are opened, the two mutually facing peripheral sides are foldable along the other edge thereof. Therefore, the traveling bag can be folded to a small volume so as to be stored in a small space. Furthermore, the traveling bag can be kept in a predetermined shape for storing and carrying items more safely.

Abstract: A locking case includes a lightweight plastic shell covered by a soft fabric, such as a woven nylon. A case hardened wire grid is fitted into each side of the plastic shell, and a foam pad, such as urethane, is fitted into the wire grid. A metal tab extends out of the case from each side of the shell. A zipper assembly has two zipper tabs with holes, such that when the case is closed, a lock can be inserted through both zipper tabs and both tabs. A security or metal cable is securely attached to the case, such as to the wire grid, where the metal cable has a loop that can be extended outside the case, wrapped around a fixed object, and locked to the four tabs by a padlock. One or more metal plates can be plated along interior sides of the shell for added protection.

Abstract: An article of luggage, such as a rolling duffel, includes a base, opposing ends connected to the base and opposing sides connected to the base and the opposing ends. A top including a lid is connectable to the opposing sides and the opposing ends. The sides and top are formed of a deformable material. A reinforcing member extends substantially along the length of the top, so that the article of luggage may be stood on one of the opposing ends such that the other end is at least partially supported by the reinforced top. The top may be formed completely by the lid, and the reinforcing member may be a frame extending around the periphery of the lid. The reinforcing member may be formed of a rigid plastic material.

Abstract: A collapsible bag construction includes a telescoping handle mounted on a bracket with a portion of the bracket extending along the bottom edge of the collapsible bag and cooperative with a supplemental or auxiliary rigid bottom panel that may be removed to permit the collapsible bag to be folded for storage.

Abstract: A device to prevent unauthorized access to motorcycle saddle bags by inserting a lockable closure insert within the bag. A hinge closure is secured within the opening of a leather type saddle bag with a separate attachment hasp fitting engageable on the opposing bag wall. The locking device is covered by the bag closure flap for decorative and accessibility reasons.

Abstract: A luggage case comprises a lid shell (11) and a base shell (12) connected together by a hinge (22). The edges of the shells can be fastened together by latches (23, 24, 25). Two latches (23, 24) are mounted on the lid shell at the end walls. When they are released, they project downwardly and outwardly to provide gripping elements for opening the case. The case has two wheels (70, 71) and a steering handle (74) for rolling the case in a two-wheeled mode. Two castors (72, 73) are located on the back wall, and a pulling handle (76) is provided on the front wall. The pulling handle can be used for pulling the case on the wheels and the castors in four-wheeled mode. The carrying handle (21) is fixed to the frame (22) so as not to pivot. It is made of thermoplastic rubber to allow twisting movement for the comfort of the traveller. The latch (25) operates easily under carrying handle (21).

Abstract: The invention relates to hard sided luggage shells and other containers manufactured using vacuum forming or pressure forming of thermoplastics. Shells and containers with integrally molded frames are disclosed. The differential pressure formed shell containers have framed openings, but without the need to attach a separate frame element to the molded shell.

Abstract: A suitcase (K) consists of two suitcase shells (1) and (2), which can be folded together, and includes castors and a pull handle (Z). The pull handle is on the narrow side (14) opposite the castors, and is swingably seated on a mounting plate (17) attached to the other suitcase shell (2). The suitcase shell (2) is adapted to be connected to the opposite suitcase shell (1) by at least one closure which extends over a fold joint (3) of the suitcase. This achieves a structurally advantageous configuration which is stable in use due to an interpenetration between hasp closure (I) and the mounting plate.

Abstract: A rigid or semi-rigid suitcase consists of a central frame forming a closed rigid annulus to which are assembled two rigid shells, one shell being welded to one side of the frame and the other shell being hinged on the other side. The suitcase is further characterized in that the central frame, made of a single piece, is shaped so that it comprises, in its latch portion or top panel, a recess closed by a reinforcing member with which the recess cooperates so as to form a hollow beam serving as a stiffening member for the top of the suitcase, the hollow beam receiving the locking mechanisms, the central handle and the lateral handle of the suitcase.

Abstract: A doubler channel is provided for the main top wall support frame in a carrying case. The doubler channel extends vertically a substantial distance for increasing the beam strength of the top walls of the carrying case. A latch mechanism is proivided wholly outside of the support frame of the top wall of the carrying case. The support frame and doubler channel are all easily assembled without the need for screws or nuts and bolts. The latch mechanism conceals and anchors the ends of the doubler channel.

Abstract: The piece of luggage provided by the invention comprises a bottom (1) to which is hinged a lid (2), a handle (3) provided with means for mounting same on the external face of the front wall of the bottom, and two closure devices (26) each adapted to cooperate with a keeper (4) for locking the lid to the bottom. It is characterized in that the keepers (4) are formed in a separate unit which is fixed against the internal face of the front wall of the bottom by the handle-mounting means; and in that the closure devices (26) are mounted on the front wall of the lid (2) and each comprise a hook (27) adapted to engage with the corresponding keeper when the lid is closed.
