Compensator In Or Near Release Bearing (epo) Patents (Class 192/111.13)
  • Patent number: 8796191
Abstract: The disclosed invention relates to a biodegradable grease composition. The grease composition comprises the reaction product of a dispersion of metal oxide and/or hydroxide particulates with at least one animal or vegetable oil. The dispersion comprises an organic medium and has a water content of up to about 0.5% by weight water. The particulates have a mean particle size up to about 15 microns. A process for making a grease composition using a dispersion of metal oxide and/or hydroxide particulates is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7913585
Abstract: The present invention broadly comprises an assembly for incrementally changing an axially fixable position, including an annular gripping element with at least one deformation segment, a glide push ring axially displaceable along a pilot element, and a wedge push ring axially displaceable along the pilot element. The gripping element is in contact with a circumference of the pilot element and the deformable segments are circumferentially deformable in response to a change in a gripping element diameter. The glide ring incrementally urges the gripping element in a first direction along the pilot element. The gripping element axially fixes responsive to force applied by the wedge ring in a second direction, opposite the first direction, along the pilot element. A surface between gripping element inner and outer circumferences forms a fixed angle with the pilot element despite changes in the inner or outer circumferences.

  • Patent number: 7311183
Abstract: A clutch brake device comprising two concentric ring-shaped plate sections, threadably and adjustably secured together via four screws. The screws pass through the periphery of the exterior plate and extend into depressions on the interior plate. The interior plate has central tangs that engage keyway slots in an input shaft. The outer plate has tabs symmetrically positioned around its outer periphery, wherein the tabs can receive force from a rod, or the like, to move the outer plate relative to the inner plate to facilitate threaded relative adjustment. Each ring-shaped plate has thereon a frictional surface, wherein each frictional surface is dimensionally different from the other. An alternate embodiment comprises a camming member, having two slidably separable plates. The first plate rides up the ramp sections of a second plate, thereby causing the first plate to separate axially from the second plate and, thus, expand the clutch brake.
