  • Patent number: 11536324
Abstract: A lubricated rotational connection system provided with a free-wheel having a driving part and a driven part as well as at least one rotational link member arranged in a linking space, the linking space being located radially between a driving linking section and a driven linking section. A lubrication device comprises a fluid circulation device constrained to rotate with a driven pumping section of the driven part. The fluid circulation device is set in rotation with respect to a driving pumping section when the driving speed of rotation of the driving pumping section is lower than the driven speed of rotation of the driven pumping section about the axis of rotation in order to generate a forced circulation of the lubricating fluid within the linking space.

  • Patent number: 9784325
Abstract: A one way clutch with improved cage retention is disclosed. The assembly includes a housing with an opening having a first ramped portion defined on an inner periphery of the opening and a groove. A cage defines a plurality of rolling element pockets, and includes a first rim with a second ramped portion that corresponds to the first ramped portion. The first ramped portion of the housing is aligned with the second ramped portion of the cage during insertion of the cage into the opening of the housing for axial alignment of the second ramped portion and the groove. The cage is then rotated with respect to the housing such that the second ramped portion overlaps the first ramped portion to retain the cage in the housing.

  • Patent number: 9132883
Abstract: A rear-wheel drive for a bicycle or a trailer bike comprises an output sprocket of a chain drive, a rear-wheel shaft, and a driving mechanism being supported outside to the bicycle frame. The rear-wheel shaft is supported only on one side of the driving in a supporting manner relative to the bicycle frame. The driving mechanism on the side facing the bicycle frame is not, as commonly known, supported relative to the rear wheel shaft but relative to the bicycle frame. That creates the required space for arranging a freewheel clutch, that fulfills the strength requirements for transmitting the occurring torques even when using sprockets with only a few teeth. Thus, short distances between the rear wheel and the bottom bracket and single-arm suspensions in the bicycle frame can be implemented together with the implementation of suitable developments of the chain drive for small running wheels.

  • Patent number: 8985293
Abstract: In one aspect, the invention is directed to a decoupler assembly for between an endless drive element and a shaft. The endless drive element may be, for example, an accessory drive belt from a vehicular engine. The shaft may be, for example, the input shaft of a belt-driven accessory, such as an alternator or a compressor. The decoupler assembly includes a hub that mounts to the shaft, a pulley that is rotatable with respect to the hub, a dampening spring and a clutch member. A part of the pulley is supported on a pulley support surface on the hub. There is a gap between the pulley and the pulley support surface. The gap has lubricant therein to facilitate sliding between the pulley and the pulley support surface. By eliminating the use of a polymeric bushing between pulley and the hub, there are several advantages that are provided.

Abstract: There is provided a lubricating structure of a one-way clutch which can lubricate rollers without degrading durability. A direction in which a lubricating oil passage for supplying oil to rollers of the one-way clutch extends is tilted relative to the rotational axis of an inner race and tilted relative to respective rotational axes of the rollers as viewed from the outer circumferential side of the inner race. Thus, a thin-walled part formed between the lubricating oil passage formed just below the roller and the surface on which the rollers roll can be reduced in size. As a result, when the inner race and the outer race are locked, roller's stress is less prone to be concentrated around the thin-walled part, and the deformation of the thin-walled part can be prevented, and therefore the degradation of the durability of the one-way clutch can be prevented.

Abstract: A one-way clutch is proposed which is low in surface pressures and durable. It includes an inner ring having a cylindrical outer surface, and an outer ring having a cylindrical inner surface defining a wedge-shaped space in cooperation with the cylindrical outer surface of the inner ring. A ring-shaped wedge member is disposed in the wedge-shaped space. The wedge member is formed with a cylindrical outer surface and a cylindrical inner surface having a center of curvature that is radially offset from the center of curvature of the cylindrical outer surface of the wedge member. A resilient member is provided between the inner ring and the wedge member to bias the wedge member in a direction to be wedged into the narrow portion of the wedge-shaped space. When the inner ring is rotated in one direction, the wedge member will be brought into wedging engagement with the cylindrical surfaces of the inner and outer rings. Torque is thus transferred from the inner ring to the outer ring.
