Abstract: A method, system, and kit for securing an undergarment strap to an outer garment with a decorative article. The decorative article includes an ornament and first and second stud members extending generally in first and second directions from the ornament and terminating in first and second stud ends. The method includes moving the decorative article in first and second directions to penetrate the surface of the outer garment with the first and second stud members, and continuing to move the decorative article generally in the first and second directions to penetrate the surface of the undergarment strap with the first and second stud members, thereby securing the undergarment strap to the outer garment by the decorative article. The kit includes a container including at least one article of jewelry including first and second stud members, an elongated base member including first and second apertures, and a plurality of protective covers.

Abstract: A fabric construction includes sensory transducers, such as light-emitting diodes, for sensory effects while maintaining the look and feel of a conventional fabric item. The construction is especially adapted for implementation as a garment. The construction has a fabric layer and an appliqué on a front surface of the fabric layer. A plurality of electrical sensory transducers are arranged in a desired pattern with an electrical harness electrically interconnecting the sensory transducers to a drive and control circuit. The transducers and harness are located between a rear surface of the appliqué and a front surface of the fabric layer, while the drive and control circuitry is positioned at a rear surface of the fabric layer. The fabric layer and appliqué are bonded together to seal the transducers and harness in place. Releasable connectors extend through the fabric layer to operatively connect the harness to the drive and control circuit.

Abstract: Footwear and accessories that can be used to ignite fire are described herein. The footwear described herein includes a component to associate one or more matches to the footwear. In at least one embodiment, the component to associate one or matches to the footwear is configured to house, store, or carry the one or more matches. In at least one embodiment, the footwear described herein includes a strikeplate that is associated with the footwear. In some embodiments, the strikeplate can be made out of an abrasive material such as a granulated product, a paper product, a hard product, and/or a hard-backed granulated paper product. A method for using the accessories associated with the footwear and methods for manufacturing accessories and/or the footwear are also described herein.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for modifying an article of clothing employs a button or disk and an oval shaped or elongated receiver or collar. A shirt, blouse, dress or other article of clothing can be modified at any selected location(s) by placing the disk or button behind a portion of the fabric of the article of clothing, encapsulating or twisting the button or disk so that it is covered with the fabric, then pushing the fabric covered button or disk through a second layer or section of the article of clothing. The disk or button with both sections of fabric are then passed through a central elongated opening of the collar or receiver. The collar or receiver then retains the button and the portions of the article of clothing in a position that produces a gathering of fabric, thus modifying the design or look of the garment.
