In at least one embodiment, a convertible shirt includes a sleeveless base, a sleeved half shirt configured to couple inconspicuously to the sleeveless base, and a multiplicity of fasteners to couple to the sleeved half shirt to the sleeveless base. In at least one alternative embodiment a two-piece convertible Western shirt includes a sleeveless base, the sleeveless base having a flared, pointed collar, a button-up front, and at least a pair of pockets on a front side of the sleeveless base, a sleeved half shirt configured to couple inconspicuously to the sleeveless base, the sleeved half shirt having a Western adornment, and a multiplicity of fasteners configured to couple to the sleeved half shirt to the sleeveless base.

    Abstract: A method of decorating a fabric article such as a t-shirt or sweatshirt. The method comprises the steps of first creating a design upon the surface of the article, for example by applying a heat transfer to the article, then coloring the design using a washable ink and finally washing the fabric so that the ink is removed from the fabric article but the colorable design is retained.
